Hennelly & Son Roofing & Gutters

Cannot be more pleased. Is there a higher rating than "A", because I'd give it to this company. I found them on Angie's List this morning and called them up. They came this afternoon, gave me a good price and finished the job. I'll definitely use them again and recommend them to family and friends.They left the yard cleaner than when they started!

Our old gutters were causing damage to the house. The back gutter was sloped in the middle forcing a waterfall into the bathroom window during a heavy rainfall resulting in quite a bit of water damage. The front gutter leaked along a seam and was causing erosion on our door step. Joe really understood my frustration when he initially came by. We decided on 6 inch seamless gutters and larger downspouts. I knew right away he was the person for the job - women's intuition (you can tell he is honest and kind). He arrived on time the day we had decided upon. He coordinated the arrival of the seamless gutter man who was professional and kind as well. Installation began around the house and proceeded perfectly until completion. He replaced a few shingles beautifully that needed to be removed during the installation. Joe and his helper Dominic cleaned up and did not leave any type of mess. On a personal note, they loved my dog Max who is HUGE about 110 pounds and can be a little intimidating. While they were at lunch they brought Max a doggy treat back. That was just so thoughtful. It rained the other night and everything worked perfectly. The gutters are a great addition to our house which we have been trying to fix up. I felt Joe was just so honest with everything so I just needed to relax and watch the work get done. What a relief! The work is superior and it was done on time at the agreed upon price. Thank you.

No problems since the work was done. I was not home at the time Joe was working on the roof, but he actually texted me photos of the problem-area before doing any work on it, which was very thoughtful.

Joe completed all four jobs in a matter of several hours, showed pictures of the work on the roof that was done, and he gave some referrals for other types of work when I asked him about it. Great work overall.

This is my first experience with Angie's List and it was perfect! I selected Joe after reading all of his great reviews. I called him and set up an appointment. Joe called prior to coming, arrived promptly and was professional, polite and very personable. He did an absolutely excellent job cleaning my filled up gutters. Joe is the very best - I will be using him from now on!

Well, I described it all above, but overall it was a perfectly successful experience. We received responsive service and quality work.

I contacted Joe on a weeknight and we set up a time for him to come by the following week to give us an estimate on our gutters. He called on the day of to make sure someone was home and arrived on time. He gave us a quote right there and said some of the gutters had to be cleaned, resealed and fastened. Since it was a smaller job, he was able to perform the tasks right then. As the estimate was lower than we had received from another company and Joe seemed great, we told him to proceed. After he was done, he told us the job wasn't as bad he initally thought as some areas required a bit of work while others were just fine so he ended up charging us less! We really appreciated his honesty as most people would have just stuck to the original estimate. I would definitely recommend him to others and look forward to contacting him in the future!

Fantastic! Not a hitch or a delay, couldn't have been a better experience. He replaced gutters and downspouts that had to go but left working gutters and downspouts that had no problem.

When we noticed our gutters were clogged, we called Joe. Even though we live pretty far away, he came out the next morning and cleaned our gutters. We were very impressed with their responsiveness and rapid service. The service was very thorough; we have not had any problems since. Thanks a lot!

Joe and his son came out around 9AM after finishing up another job in Medford. He gave me a quick quote, which was fair so I had him start working on cleaning out our gutters immediately. He worked his way around the house moving the ladder pulling out the debris by by hand as he went. When he was done, he would take the hose and was the remaining debris down towards the downspout or the next area he planned to work from. When he got to the piece of missing fascia, he pulled out the birds nest and replaced the piece fastening it this time with some exterior gutter screws. Once they were done, they cleaned up the driveway and rolled up the hose. They did a great job.

Called Hennelley and Sons at 2:10pm to ask for an estimate on gutter and downspout cleaning, he met me 30 miinutes later, gave me an estimated and completed the job right then and there. The gutter was rotted through in a few areas and Joe gave me two options, repair or replace. He repaired with a fix that should last for a long time. I would recommend Hennelley and Sons to anyone. They were prompt, thorough, fair in price, wasted no time, and cleaned up everything. True professionals. I will definitely call them in the future.

They were great to work with. They arrived on time and did a great job. He installed a new roof vent, repaired the plumbing vent by installing a new boot and cleaned the gutters. He inspected the roof and while up there found an issue with the gutter installation. He also repaired the gutter while he was working. I would definitely hire the again.

Called Hennelley and Sons for an estimate on gutter cleaning/repair. Joe responded quickly and arrived on-time on the date scheduled. Joe walked around with me and gave an estimate/assessment and then did the work the same day. I'm very pleased with the price and the quality of work performed. I especially appreciate Joe's follow-up call a few weeks later to check and make sure all was well after a few days of heavy rains. I would recommend Hennelley and Sons for any gutter related work and will use them next time our gutters need attention.

I had never called Joe before, and when I did, he was very responsive and made an appointment to check out our gutter situation, he came by when he said he would. we needed a old wooden gutter repaired and a rebuild of an area on the corner of the house attached to the old wood gutter that had rotted because the damaged gutter was left for too long without repair.Joe and his son arrived just a few days after we met for the estimate. he went right to work, He painted it with 2 coats of my paint and also finished the inside of it with a special coating. He repaired the large rotten wood area on the corner so I couldnt even tell where it started and ended with the old wood, a great job.They skillfully installed the large 30 ft wood gutter, and secured it. Then Joe cleaned and checked the other back gutters on my 2 story house. He went up on the roof and fixed a small leak he found because we had a small amount of water spotting the attic ceiling. All in all , he did a wonderful job for a decent price, I recommend him without any reservations.The house looks almost brand new now! Its 90 years old. He said his men can also do some painting for me, aand next year I may do that too.

I'd been getting water in my basement, and I realized I had neglected the gutters this summer. I got Mr. Hennelly's number from the site and called. I explained the issue, and to my great relief and delight, he came right over and completed the job. He was going to come the following week, but when he realized he was in the area, he came straight to my house. He did a wonderful job and the price was very good. He's got a kind and professional manner. I was very pleased.

Joe returned my initial phone call while he was on vacation. My first impression was that this person values customers and business. Joe called before arriving (always appreciated) to let me know they were about 15 minutes ahead of schedule. He arrived with his partner 15 minutes early, ready to go. Joe quickly assessed the situation and provided me a fair quote. Once we finished our conversation, they went to work and finished the job quickly. It looks great, and I'm hoping the repairs will help with some moisture problems in the basement. It has not rained enough to make a fair assessment, but I'm confident that we will not have water streaming down the outside of the downspout like we had prior. As a side note, while Joe was up on the ladder working on the gutter, he noticed that we could use some additional work. In fact, we have no fascia board that protects the bottom end of the roof. Joe took pictures of the problem and explained to me the situation. At that point, he was not trying to add to the job; he was simply letting me know that we have a problem that eventually should be addressed. I asked him to provide me a quote once he was finished with the day's work - he did, with no pushy attitude or scare tactics. I really appreciated the pictures of the exposed roof (which he texted me later). They helped me conceptualize the problem and gave me confidence that Joe was honest with his observations. I will recommend Joe to anyone that I know. I will also use him again, without reservation, for future projects.

We had called Joe several months earlier to clean our gutters so when we discovered that a raccoon had caused extensive damage to the point that water and soiled insulation was coming into our condo building. I decided to call Joe again.Our house is also under an easement as it is a historic property ,thus making repairs tends to be more of project than a regular building. Joe immediately showed up( the day I called) and gave us a proposal.He also discovered and showed us via camera other problems happening up on our roof that we were unaware of.He also came and temporarily sealed the holes until the project could be run through the historical society . The work was completed in under 2 days. Joe is punctual , knows his stuff,reasonably priced and is very tidy! We look forward to working with him again on several other roofing projects this coming fall and beyond! We are thrilled to have found ourselves a roofer and gutter man the likes of Joe!

Joe came to the house within two days of my first contact and arrived within the time window he stated on the phone. He very quickly diagnosed the problem with the roof, showed me photos of the damage and explained the repair and quoted me a great price.. Everything was completed within an hour. They were very courtious. A great home repair experience. I will call them again, anytime.

Joe answered my call and set up our appointment for the next day. He arrived as promised and set to work on the gutters. I asked him to take a look at an area that was causing drainage problems in a flower bed that was splashing mud on the back entryway. He checked it out and came up with a solution on the spot. Joe also gave me an assessment on the condition of the roof of our house and provided us with insight on the issues and conditions. Joe was friendly, honest, and a pleasure to do business with! The pricing is very fair and made me feel that I got real value for my money and that I was working with someone whose goal is to provide quality work for the price. For our carriage house Joe evaluated the condition of one side of the roof that is leaking and sent us an estimate shortly after his visit. We will be starting that project shortly!

I found Joe on Angieslist, he was quick to respond, overall it went well. After the work was complete and we had our first rain storm, he even called me to make sure I was happy with the work.

It went without a hitch. Joe was easy to get in contact with and came exactly when he said he would (which was within a week after I called him). He did everything we asked for at a reasonable price plus he inspected and took pictures of our flat roof and cleaned out a dryer vent at no extra charge. He was very nice to work with. Joe came back two weeks later to fix a hole in our flat roof. Again, he was very responsive and came exactly when he said he would. His prices are reasonable and he is great to work with. I would hire him again in a heart beat.

Joe and his father were great. He was very communicative with regard to when he would be able perform this service in relation to his other jobs. When he had an unexpected window of opportunity on a Saturday, he made that an option for us. We took it! We will now call Joe biannually for his service. We appreciated his professionalism.

Joe called about 15 minutes before he arrived to let me know he was on the way. As he discovered the problem described above, he gave me a clear explanation of the problem and explained what he could do to fix it. He finished the cleaning and more minor repairs, spending a total of 3 hours at the house. He cleaned up the area and was on his way.

The work went smoothly. I am very pleased with everything.
