Joe showed up with his crew on the scheduled date. They did everything as estimated and also cleaned up after they were done. This was a major plus as we have had to clean up after contractors in the past. We were impressed with the quality of work and the attention they paid to small details. My husband works with contractors and companies all day long and thus we have high standards. Joe exceeded these standards. We commend Joe and his crew for their professionalism and quality of their work. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work at a competitive price.

Very nice experience. He called in the morning and showed up on time. Did a decent job cleaning all the gutters. He charged me less than his initial quote as he could walk on the roof to access all the gutters. He even fixed a portion of the gutter that had buckled up.

Wonderful - called to get an idea of cost/time/etc and the owner gave a base estimate. He suggested waiting a few weeks to let all the rest of the leaves fall. He gave a date and time that they'd be there. I called the day before to confirm the appointment and he knew exactly who I was and said that it might need to get pushed off if it was raining. That was understandable so the next morning when it was raining I called 1/2 hour before the appointment to say that we could just reschedule but he said they were on their way since it wasn't raining that badly. They were there exactly on time, gave me the price and started the job. They stopped just once to let the rain let up a bit. I was really happy that they hosed down the driveway afterwards so that all the leaves weren't left for me to clean up. The two guys who came were very polite and friendly. I'm happy to call them again next year to continue doing business with them and would be happy to recommend them.

Hurricane Sandy stripped a few rows of roofing shingles off exposing the wood from the peak of my mothers 3 story home and had caused water damage in her house. This was brought to my attention on a Saturday and I was concerned about the Noreaster coming a few days later. I called Joe on Saturday afternoon (he answered the phone!!!) and he acknowledged that we would indeed suffer more water damage unless the roof was repaired. His schedule was full but agreed to come out Sunday morning at 8:00 am to get the job done before the upcoming storm. His price was fair and did not try to take advantage of our situation knowing we needed to have the work done asap. My mother was so impressed she was on the phone the same day giving Joe's contact information to her girlfriend. Joe if you read this, thank you again for being an honest businessman and thank you for being concerned about our situation!!! We are truly grateful.

Following Sandy, we noticed that the rear facing wall in our master bath was damp. The company that assessed water damage felt that the likely cause was a clogged gutter above that room. I was concerned about the upcoming Noreaster and started making calls to have the gutter cleaned in time. I left three messages with other companies and then joined Angie's List and saw Joe's great reviews. Joe answered the phone on my first attempt and explained he had been swamped due to Sandy, but would try to squeeze us in. Sure enough, he called me back the next morning and said he could come over and take a look. He came over right away, took a look at our two family, gave me a fair estimate, and said he could do the work right then. After already starting the work, Joe informed me that there was an area on the roof above the bathroom that he believed to be the source of the leak and was in need of some minor repair work. He went ahead and did this at no additional charge. He and his crew were great; very professional, friendly and courteous. I was extremely satisfied and highly recommend him.

Extremely prompt and friendly when answering/returning phone calls!! Very convenient scheduled from which to pick a service date. On the day of the service he called to say he was at the house and gave me a price quote (which was much less than the big company I had used last year). I wasn't home to see the work, but my neighbor said they did a great job and worked quickly. She even went over and asked for a price quote for her house and I believe he cleaned their gutters right after finishing ours! Now THAT's service! When I got home from work there was no residue or leftover crap along the ground from the cleaning, and he even took the debris with him when he left (the big company I used last year left the bags of debris at the end of our driveway for us to dispose of). Although it hasn't rained yet (to test the thoroughness of the work), I'm confident that everything was done perfectly! We are extremely happy with this gutter service and will only use them in the future!!

I had been researching Angie's List for a Roofing-Gutter specialist after being "traumatized" by a less than adequate one. I chose 5 people from Angie's List to contact, Joe Hennelly being one of them. My husband called each one : three of them never returned our call after several attempts, one refused to do any work for anyone who lived in Lynn (really?) and Joe was the fifth one. Joe returned my husband's call and after playing phone tag a few times, made contact. He arrived at our home when he said he would and proceeded to give us an estimate. I thought the estimate was reasonable and was anxious to get going on a much delayed "to do". From the start I felt Joe was a very honest and respectful guy. He arrived for the first schedule day to work on time and his son Dominic was adorable and a hard worker as well. Joe went right to work stripping the roof right down to the wood and placing new shingles. He replaced some rotted fascia board and painted it. He misjudged the width (fascia board) on one side of the garage by two inches but after my husband expressed his dismay, Joe apologized and cosmetically fixed the error. Joe had to return the next day to finish the gutters, which went smoothly. Everything was cleaned up and all trash was removed from the site. Joe returned our huge gas grille to the deck and even painted and placed our weathervane on the top of the garage. Very good overall experience. I would recommend Joe Hennelly & Son to anyone looking for a good roofer/gutter specialist. Thanks Joe!

We had massive issues with out gutters during the Sandy rains that was causing leaking in our basement. I called Joe on Monday morning. He was obviously swamped with work following the storm but made it over first thing Tuesday. He cleaned all the gutters and downspouts for a very reasonable price ($120) and then called me at work to say it was done. When I asked about one particular issue he walked around the house and found it while we talked, then pulled his ladder back out and went back up and fixed it, no charge. I will use him every year from here on out.

I called Joe because of a problem I was having with water overflowing my window well. I asked if he could change where the drain comes from the gutter. He could have done what I asked and then charged me through the nose, but he advised simply cutting it and re-routing it out over the window well. I greatly appreciate his advising me on the more economical and simpler way of doing it. I'm particularly grateful that I had no issues with basement flooding during the recent storm.

Excellent and very prompt service. I placed a call to them this morning requesting an estimate on gutter cleaning (fully expecting that I may not get a call back right away given the high demand for the service given the recent tropical storm) and within an hour had received a call back indicating they can clean my gutters today if desired. I ssked him to proceed with the cleaning and within a couple hours received a call that the service was completed. Excellent customer service and vey reasonable price. Highly recommended and will use again.

Amazing. I haven't met anyone quite like Joe and his son. Just good people that do quality work. I called him and within a day we had an appointment. He was right on time! Showed him the gutter, the hole in my bedroom ceiling and finally...my roof. The roof seemed to be in good shape...we just needed help finding the mystery hole that was allowing water into our bedroom. Joe first told me that the work that another roofer told me needed to be done...didn't need to be done! What a relief! He found a possible issue and patched it up on the spot! Next, he went for the gutters. Found the issue and fixed it right away. He was out in no time and told me to call him when we had a bad storm to let me know if we had any further water damage. I think Sandy was a good test and we haven't had any new water in our room!!! Knock on wood. So so so happy with the work and more importantly the honesty and professionalism. Have already recommended him to neighbors.

Great. Hurricane Sandy came and went no leak. Couple of trees fell down with wind but no issue with the roof. I may need a new roof in couple of years, so I am not faulting the other roofers. But Mr. Hennelly was what I needed before Sandy. The price was great and work passed the toughest test of hurricane Sandy. He brought the matching shingles because we may have needed them. We did not need them and so he did not charge for them. He got the work done on a Sunday - no extra charge. I was so happy that the work got done before the hurricane that I did not negotiate on his quote of $150. I couid not be happier.

Joe was courteous and professional at all times. He had to reschedule and gave me a discount for the inconvenience. I would hire him again in an instant!

Joe was consistently courteous and responsive to all of our concerns, including doing extra work and extending the guarantee. He constantly communicated about the progress of the job and completed it in a timely manner. When the job was finished, he left the area clean and tidy. It was a pleasure dealing with him and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a roof or gutters. This company exceeded my expectations in all ways.

I called and asked for gutter cleaning. They came the same day and charged less than their estimate, because the job was small.

I called this gentleman several times. Every time I called he asked if either I could call back or if he could return my call. I certainly can understand being busy on a job site and that would explain not being able to take a call. He did finally return my call and left a voice message for me. I returned his call in the early evening hoping this was a better time to call because he wouldn't be on a job site. This time I was told he he had just stepped out of the shower and that he would return my call shortly during that evening. After not hearing from him for hours I called again, this time he answered my call and told me he couldn't talk because he was now at a concert (maybe he should have returned my call before leaving for a concert) . I told him I was going out of town and only had a small window of opportunity to talk on the following day from 11-1:00. He told me to call him during those hours, promising that "even if he was working he would stop what he was doing to talk with me and set up an appointment to come do my job", he went on to say "I promise I will take care of you and your job." I called on the following day and was told he again couldn't talk and would call me back. He did call right back but however this time he told me that I should find someone else and that I was a distance away for him. He knew exactly where I was located from the very first time we spoke and he should not have wasted my time! If he felt I was too far he should have said that in the first call. I could have found another gutter guy, hired him, and had my job finished by now instead of wasting my limited free time chasing Joe. Very unprofessional!

Had Joe Hennelly out today to repair our copper gutter. I couldn't have been more pleased to have found him. I had previously contacted a couple of other contractors to do the job but they either didn't return my calls or gave me an outrageously high quote to do a simple job (i.e. they had no interested in doing the job) Joe was great, a really nice guy who was very professional and explained how he would make the repair and why he chose to do it that way.Now we wait for some rain to see how it holds up but he told me to call and let him know if there were any problems. I have no doubt he would come back to fix it if need be.

No more water in basement, confirmed by heavy rainstorm after installation of gutter system. Joe was responsive, courteous, professional and personable. He also offered suggested solutions on other minor issues with my gutters and house, and was not at all pushy. I plan to use him again. Highly recommend.

My tenants are happy and I?m relieved the situation could be resolved by Joe at what I feel was a very reasonable price.

Quick, efficient & professional. Called to confirm appointment day before. Came at time planned, and got right to work. Didn't include my garage in original conversation, but added the work once they got there. Was pleasant, and did extra work without hesitation. Price was very reasonable. Not only did they do a great job, they called during the next rainstorm to make sure everything was flowing properly and I was satisfied with the work done. Very, very happy with service. Will recommend to friends in need of service.

I called Joe and he came that Friday and took a look. He took some photos to show me exactly what was happening (I'm way too pregnant to climb a ladder), how he would repair it and his price. He was able to make a full repair that day in about an hour. We haven't had a problem since. Joe even followed up with us after a thunderstorm to make sure the repair was adequate and if anything else came up.

They were very good and even called back a few days after the service to make sure everything was ok. They did good work and I was pleased.

I called Joe on a Tuesday and he was able to show up on Thursday to finish the job. He also charged less than the other gutter cleaner that we had before. He really cared about the comments we posted on the Angie's List. Two weeks after the job, he called me to check if everything is OK, and wondered why I still had not commented on his job on the Angie's List. My fault! Joe's honesty and workmanship should be noticeable to all Angie's list members immediately.
