I called Joe after trying another company that did not return my call. Joe answered the phone immediately. I explained the problem to him and he said he was pretty booked but told me it was gonna rain Sunday and Monday (this was a Thursday) and he might be able to check it out on Saturday afternoon, but he couldn't be sure. He was very concerned about not being able to get to it before the rain and said he would call if he couldn't make it. I had a feeling he was gonna make it work because he seemed pretty sincere so I didn't bother trying to contact other companies. On Saturday he called and said he was on the way (even earlier than I expected) and arrived shortly after. He and his assistant got up the roof and quickly found the source of the leak. He quoted a very reasonable price to fix the leak, patch up some areas around the chimney and clean the gutters and then got to work quickly repairing it. It rained all Sunday night and Joe called on Monday make sure the problem was gone and it was. I wish every experience with a contractor could go as easy and pleasantly as it did with Joe. I highly recommend Joe. He's awesome!!!

I contacted them at the last minute in 2nd wk of Dec, after learning that our usual gutter cleaners had stopped working for the season. Joe was very polite, said they'd be working nearby in Cambridge this wk ,and they'd get here if possible. As dusk was settling in, they came and did a thorough job, including clearing extra leaves around the base of the house. Very polite and helpful. I highly recommend them.

Joe and his team did an excellent job on my gutters. Not only did they clean the gutters, but they followed up by raking/cleaning up the debris as well as washing down my house where it was needed. Very professional; top quality. I would highly recommend Joe and his crew

Joe is excellent !! He was extremely responsive coming out the next day (today) during the peak busy season to clean my gutter. He called before coming out and let me know the exact time he would be arriving. He and his crew were carefull making quick work of the clean-up while assessing the condition of my gutters and roof. I will definitely use and recommend Joe in the future!

Joe came when he said he would and the team worked swiftly to clean the gutters. Joe also took photos to illustrate other issues with the roof that we might want to address, which was very helpful. Really, only issue was that Joe did not respond to my email promptly--I contacted Joe on a week day, Wednesday or Thursday, but he did not check his email and did not respond until the next week. So call him rather than email him.

I could not have asked for a better experience. After having issues with other companies, I called joe and he picked up right away. I was thinking he would give me an estimate and then come in a week or so, but he told me that he could fit me in that very day, and in just a few hours. Once they got there it was quick and easy. They cleaned my gutters for a very fair price and then cleaned up everything around the house perfectly. I will be using them again and I strongly recommend everyone else who needs work and their gutters to give them a shot to. You wont be disappointed.

I called Joe on a Saturday in the middle of December, and he called me back the next day. I called Hennelly and Sons because I had purchased a pre-paid Big Deal gutter cleaning through Angie's List with Certified Roofing (NOT Hennelly and sons), but this provider had been very difficult to reach, wanted additional money, and told me he could not clean the gutters until end of December. I did not want to wait until end of december, so I was desperately trying to find someone else to do the job sooner. Joe was booked through the end of the year, but he was kind enough to come over minutes after calling me to do the gutter cleaning on a Sunday. Thank you Hennelly and Sons for helping me out! Now I just have to try to get my money back from the other guy.

after seeing the glowing reviews on angie's list, i called joe hennelly. he was very nice on the phone. rather than overbook and show up late or not at all, he told me that he was very busy and wouldn't be able to come out for at least a week and a half. i booked a time in the morning before i had to go to work. joe called a few minutes before showing up with his son and dennis. they got to work immediately in assessing what needed to be done. within 5 min, joe came down from the roof with pictures to show the debris that had clogged up the downspout and gutters sagging off the house. also, he showed me a hole where the squirrel had gotten into the house. he explained what he would need to do to repair the damage (clear out the debris, seal up the hole and secure the gutters back in place) and gave me a very reasonable price of $250. joe went into the attic and banged around to scare the squirrel out. while he was up there, she showed me several places where daylight could be seen through the side of the house and the roof. he said he would take a look outside while they were doing the work on the gutters and let me know if he could repair it. about 20min later he came in and said that he wanted to take some more pictures to show me what needed to be done. he told me he wasn't trying to make more work or get money from me and that the repairs to the roof could wait if we wanted (since we hadn't seen any water in the house, it would probably only leak when the wind blew the rain in at angles). i really appreciate his honesty about what work needed to be done. he said that since he would have to get up on the roof again, he felt a fair price to repair the roof and sides was $150. it took them about another 20min to finish. when they were all done, joe came in and explained what they did. he took time to also let me know that some of the wood was beginning to rot and would probably need to be replaced in the next 3-5 years. he said that since we had such simple gutters to clean, he'd be happy to come and blow them clean for a discounted rate. and that when we are ready to do the repairs, he would replace the wood with a composite material and replace the gutters at the same time. he said that with some cheap gutter guards put in at that time we shouldn't have a problem for 15-20 years. i will definitely be using hennelly and son in the future and recommending them to all the homeowners i know. thanks for being a respectable businessman, joe!

Very pleased with the service. They arrived on time and asked if I had any particular concerns. We are next to state property and trees hang over the house so leaves tend to build up quite a bit on that side. Once we had our brief discussion about my concerns, they set to work and were done within 45 minutes this included running water through the gutter system to ensure that there were no clogs anywhere along the way. The charge was as quoted.

Wonderful. He comes when he says and does what needs to get done! And he's a nice guy.

I called Joe to get gutters cleaned out of our 3-story Condo unit. He called back promptly and told me that it was going to be between $120 and 160. I told him to go ahead, and he got the gutters cleaned within a week of me calling. He came exactly on time with his son, cleaned the gutters and even cleaned our driveway which was overfilled with leaves. He left no mess after the cleaning.

Called in early November to get a price and set up an appointment to have two family house's gutters cleaned in late November early December. Joe answered phone gave me price asked me to call back when closer to the time I wanted them cleaned to set up appointment. Called back he said he was booked solid and could not come until mid December, I reminded him that he told me to call back closer to the date I wanted. He told me to wait a minute and set me up with an appointment the following week. I was very pleased that he did not make me wait until mid December. He came when he said he would. Charged what he said he would on the phone. Did a very good job and cleaned up after. Very pleasant. Will use him again.

Hennelly & Son did a great job cleaning our gutters. They were responsive, prompt, did a great job and were priced competitively. They even followed up after the first big rain following the cleaning to make sure that everything seemed to be working as it should. I plan to continue to use them on a regular basis for gutter cleaning and have also referred them to other people.Clean

Update - the provider called, apologized, and explained that there were some extenuating circumstances that lead to us not getting a callback . . . he even offered to come clean our gutters for free. We've already had the work done, but I do appreciate the offer and I'm sorry to hear of the circumstances.

Called phone number and spoke with Joe, the owner. He gave me a rough idea over the phone of what the price would be and told me when he would be in our area. Very professional and pleasant to deal with. When that day arrived, he called me from outside our house, firmed up the price, and performed the work after I gave him the go-ahead. As others have mentioned, the price was great, he was very punctual, and the work was performed as quoted. Will definitely hire him again.

I was very happy with the work done by Joe Hennelly. He returned my call within the same day during the very busy time of the year for gutter cleaning and was able to book an appointment within a two week time-frame which I think is pretty good having had experience trying to book gutter-cleaning appointments with other companies. He was prompt and knowledgeable and and did a great job, and totally cleaned up afterward. I will call him in the future for gutter and/or roof work.

Joe Hennelly is incredible! Now I see why Angies List rates him so high. He came to clean the gutters but went above and beyond just a gutter cleaning. He repaired a few of the downspouts and left the yard cleaner than when he arrived. I enjoyed talking to Joe, he is very pleasant and professional. I am going to recommend him to all of my family and friends. I will never use anyone else in the future.

He picked up and since he was on another clients roof, assured me he could help and to call back with my contact infromation. He called me back later that day, quoted me a price of $120 and then scheduled the work for the following Saturday. Joe and his helper arrived promptly Saturday morning as scheduled, and they went to work. After completion, Joe teold me that the gutters werent too clogged up and instead of the quoted price, he was going to charge me only $100. How often does that happen? I thanked him, and told him that I would definitely call him next year. A pleasure to do business with, and I would recommend him to anyone that needs this service.

I will ask them to do the gutter cleaning again.

Joe was incredibly responsive, and set up a time to clean my gutters within a week of my first call. He and his crew are extremely professional. While they were working, they noted a couple of things that needed to be taken care of with one of my decks. I knew about the problem from onserving water damage below, and asked them to investigate. Very thorough analysis, and no pressure to have then do the work. Overall an excellent customer service experience, and easy to recommend to others.

Joe replied to my e mail in a timely manner. Due to the cancellation of another job he was able to come over later the same day. He gave a quote. The price seemed reasonable so I had him go ahead with the job. He and his associate were friendly and professional. They raked up and removed all the debris and leaves they removed from the gutter.

From the first contact until the job was done Joe Hennelly and his crew were just wonderful to deal with.We are located out in Andover and although Joe's business is in Quincy, he came out and gave the quote and assured me that the drive was no problem. He sent a written quote in the mail and we decided that his great reviews and friendly, competent manner would work for us. The leaves are down and Joe and crew came out as scheduled. They got right to work and put up rigging to get to the high point in the building that needed the 50' of gutter. He had arranged for a seamless gutter company to deliver the long section to the job. They spent the day Friday and came back on Saturday AM to finish up. Everything looks great! The owners have already remarked that the work looks great. I also wanted Joe to report on additional problems that may start to cause problems in the future. Joe found a few problems and each time he apologized when he had to tell me about another rotten fascia on another building or a section of gutter that needs replacement. We will have them back in the spring to take care of the addtional work for us. It hasn't rained yet, but Joe made sure he told us that any problems that appear after a rain will be taken care of. He was concerned about one small section that turns a corner on the building that could have some additional repairs sooner. Overall, we are so happy with the work and especially happy to have found such pleasant people to work on our property!
