I called Joe when the temperatures were well below freezing to repair a cracked gutter that was laden with icicles that I feared would break off, or worse, rip from the house and cause damage to a car or a person. He came by quickly and gave me an estimate and then said he would repair the gutter as soon as the weather permitted. I live out of state and the house was a rental property so I wasn't sure if he would remember or even come back. But sure enough, when there was a break in the weather, he showed up, made all the repairs he said he would and even emailed me photos of the gutters before and after repair. I didn't ask him to do that but he was thoughtful enough to know I would not be able to see the repair work and he wanted to be sure I was ok with it. It has been a month since the repair and I just received a voicemail from him asking if everything was ok with the new gutters and the repairs. I would definitely recommend Joe and will use him again in the future should I need additional work.

I received service from Joe Hennelly before, so I knew they would do a great job. And I continue to be very impressed. Joe efficiently but clearly explained what he thought the problem was - using photos of the roof and chimney to illustrate - and went about the repair. Extremely helpful and the price was fair. I will definitely continue to call Joe if more help is needed in the future.

After a recent rain storm with lots of wind we noticed some of the shingles on our roof had blown off. We were worried because a blizzard was in the forecast. Hennelly and Son Roofing came right over and replaced the missing shingles. They were prompt and the cost was reasonable. Thanks for giving us piece of mind that our roof was in good condition with the looming storm about to hit us.

There was some damage after a recent Nor'easter. So, I looked up gutter repair on this site and Joe Hennelly was among those with top reviews. I called several places, but Joe was the most responsive. He answered the phone right away and made an effort to accommodate a visit for as soon as possible. He and Bill fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. The price was reasonable. I'm a first time home-owner, so a lot of people could have taken advantage of the situation and my lack of knowledge, but Joe was very fair. I was pleased with this service and would definitely call back Joe for future work.

After winter Storm Nemo, the ice that accumulated in our 4-story tall downspout ripped it off the side of the building, along with all of the brackets. I found Hennelly & Sons on Angie's List and called their number. Joe Hennelly answered immediately and came by to examine the damage within an hour. He re-scheduled some less urgent work and completed the work within two hours after that, doing so professionally and neatly, and warrantying it for a year. I am absolutely delighted by his work, but even more impressive, he figured out how to do the work without needing to rent a powered lift. The last time this happened, the bill was more than twice as high, and the work took over a week from first call to completion.

Our gutters had needed cleaning for a long time. I called several names on Angie's List and Joe Hennelly was the first to call me back. We arranged an appointment out a few weeks (the day after Thanksgiving) due to my location and his schedule). He arrived on the appointed day with a partner and gave me a price to clean the gutters. They gathered up the "compost" that they threw down in bags for us so we could put it somewhere we needed that. While cleaning the gutters, he noticed some slates that were missing, and located several that had fallen off the roof and those tiles were adequate to fix the areas that were important to fix. They also sprayed a silicone sealant on a prior skylight repair to help us tide that over until we made choices on some renovation choices related to the skylights. In general very satisfied and would use again.

Joe Hennelly and his crew did the work on time, in a professional manner, billed what he said he would, and didn't blink when I requested a couple of add-ons (he hasn't done them yet, but that isn't his fault-it's mine for not being available when he was doing the work to specify what was wanted, and he's followed up to ask me when he can complete them). All in all an excellent experience.

Joe and his team responded promptly to my call and were extremely knowledgeable and professional. After a thorough review of the problem, Joe came in with a $250 estimate, which was excellent. After having had a couple of other roofers out to the house to give estimates that were much higher (and involved work on the roof that we clearly didn't need), I would recommend that anyone in the Boston area give Joe and his team a call before going with another roofer.

I'm renovating my old 1863 home. The home originally had two chimneys. One had fallen before I bought the house and the roof had been patched. I wanted the second one down before it fell as well. I was also considering a complete reroof. I called Hennelly & Son and set up an appointment. Joe came by and took a look and suggested that the roof still had a few years in it. He quoted me a price of $700 to tear down the chimney and patch the roof and suggested the roof could be completely redone in a couple years after I've finished up with other renovations. We set a date for the work. When the date came, they showed up on time and got right to work. I might add that the roof is WAY up there. The sill is nearly 3 stories off the ground. They got ladders set up, observed good safety practices, and got to work. They tore down the chimney, disposing of the brick and other debris. Then they patched the roof, shingled it, and gave me a revue of when I would need to consider re-roofing the entire house. We've had both rain and snow since then with zero leaks and it looks good from the street. Job well done!

I looked up in Angie's List the top rated firm in gutter replacement which was Joe Henelley and Son (I did not look at the comments which spoke of cleaning gutters primarily and not gutter replacement. It workedf out so I have no complaints) So I figured that Joe was the best guy to hire to replace our front gutters with Seamless .032 alumum gutters. He and his son showed up when they agreed to, removed our wooden gutter and round downspouts in front and replaced with oversized gutters and oversized downspouts. He also put up an extra (Azak) fascia board, due to the thickness of the wooden gutter which he removed. He also repaired 3 spots where the roof rake was rotten, I had received another estimate from the local guy who put up our back gutter, but that was several thousand higher for convential gutters and downspouts, so I wnet with Joe and Bill. Joe convinced me that oversize gutters would look OK on the front of out house. I liked them because they had a larger opening in the gutter, which made it less likey to become clogged with leaves. He also asked if I liked the color. I picked it and I will live with it. It is a little off, but that was my problem, not his. Joe and his son Bill were great and I recommend them highly. They worked out perfectly. They did the work and removed the old wooden gutter and left the place clean. Joe has since called me to verify the new gutters handled the heavy rain we just had.

We called Friday morning to ask about getting our gutters cleaned and repaired. They happened to be in the area and came right over and performed the services immediately. They were professional, fair-priced and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them and use them again. Thank you!

What a great and easy experience! When I called, Joe answered right away and said he'd need to come by to give an estimate. He came out within a couple of days and gave us a fair quote. Once we agreed to have him come do the job, he was there within 2 days, got it fixed very quickly, and even carted away the old broken pieces. We wanted to have him clean out our gutters but he advised against it due to the cold temperatures and the likelihood that it would cause some damage to the gutters - I appreciate the honesty. Throughout the whole transaction Joe was very responsive - always returning calls and letting us know when he'd be there to do the work. We will be calling him back in the spring for gutter cleaning!

We had several areas of rot in our wooden gutters and a water leak near the chimney. Joe answered my call in person and came to give an estimate very promptly. His quote was the most competitive we got. Joe and his team were professional and courteous and completed the work in good time. We are very happy with the repairs and maintenance that was done and will be hiring Joe again for another project this month.

They squeezed us into their schedule during their busy season and did a thorough job cleaning our gutters. They offered to remove an old antenna for a little extra cost. We would definitely hire them again.

Hennelly & Sons cleans my gutters every year and is professional, neat and quick to come out when I call for service. They have also worked on a problem section of my gutters, making great improvements where other gutter companies have failed. They are very friendly and nice to work with. I have referred all my neighbors, which are all happy with the work over the years.

Joe was very professional. He was able to come out on the day that I called to provide an estimate and came back to complete the repair when he said he would. He also charged me the amount of the original estimate even though the scope of the work changed.

Tried several times to schedule appointments but was either put off or left with vague dates. Good guy, seemed honest but clearly over extended himself and ultimately didn't do the work as promised. Reliability is an issue.

We called Hennelly & Son on a Friday afternoon to ask about having our gutters cleaned and some storm damage repaired. Joe offered to come on Saturday morning, which was surprisingly quick. He showed up as promised and not only took care of our gutter cleaning and repairs, but also removed a decades-old television aerial from our slate roof that I'd wanted to get rid of for years. The price was okay, if not great, and the work was done promptly and professionally. I'd call them again.

They quoted $160 and completed the job for that amount, even though they also did some gutter repairs. They even added a missing gutter elbow for no extra charge. They used a crew of 3 and competed the job in about one hour. They cleaned up all materials removed from the gutters.

It went great. Joe and his partner are efficient, thoughtful and very pleasant to work with. We will definitely be using them again in the spring.

Joe answered his cell the first time I called and was able to provide an estimate and schedule a service date over the phone. He called that morning to let me know I was next on his route, arrived at the expected time, cleaned the gutters (which turned out to be clogged with tennis balls from my kid), and called me again when he was wrapping up. Since I work close to home, I was able to pop in after the second call to pay him and didn't have to schedule time off work. He was extremely pleasant, and offered the best price of the three estimates I received. I will definitely call him back next year.

We called Joe for a gutter cleaning and he was professional and punctual. While cleaning our gutter, he also cleaned the neighbor's for no added charge. He also noticed a spot on our roof where the rubber was beginning to separating. He took photos of the problem and texted them to me from the rooftop, enabling me to assess the situation without having to scale our tall row house. He was able to fix the problem on the spot and at very reasonable price. I will definitely call Joe again next year.

This is the second time we have used Joe. He responded right away, and was over the next morning. He and his team did a great job. Left the site very clean and even cleaned the exterior of the gutters. They even went so far as to competely clean and reinstall an old dryer vent that is no longer in use. Will call them everytime.
