Did quick check of all gutters plus limited non-gutter roof repair. Turns our rain gutter wrap also plugged, but not realized at time of visit. Necessitated return which happened 8/12/2014.

We recently bought a condo in an old Victorian home in Dorchester, MA. We learned upon inspection that the gutters had not been cleaned in quite some time, and that two shingles were missing from the roof. I reached out to a few local roofing and gutter cleaning companies for quotes and Joe Hennelly and his team were the most reasonable and responsive of the bunch. Hennelly and Sons showed up on time, did a great job, were courteous, and were affordable. They got the job done with no trouble at and based upon our experience with the gutter cleaning, we decided to hire them to replace the two missing shingles on our roof. Their pricing was very fair and we so appreciated that they arrived when they said that they would and handled the job in such a professional manner. Our home was built in the late 1800's and we presume that there will be additional work needed in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend Hennelly and Sons and look forward to hiring them again in the future.

Although his estimate was similar to another contractor's, I selected Joe because a review from an architect (I am one also) praised his attention to detail and craftsmanship. It proved to be right. Joe replaced a damaged fascia board and aluminum gutter along one side of my hip roof. In addition, he agreed to paint the board and gutter to match the existing. He and his son worked professionally, competently and as timely as promised. They were careful and neat in their work and positioned their ladders to avoid damaging shrubbery. More than a month after my job was completed I called Joe again to see if he would adjust one small detail that was bothering me. I explained that it was not urgent, but Joe cheerfully made an appointment to come back within a week. He made the adjustment with creativity and good humor even though he may have found my request annoying. I recommend him for both his expertise and his can-do personality. He's also very reachable by phone - he answers the phone himself, or calls back promptly.

We just bought a house that had not had the gutters cleaned in years. These guys were great, did a thorough job at a good price and I definitely plan to use them again.

Joe was prompt, efficient and responsive. His work was excellent and he cleaned up very well. I was completely satisfied with the work he did.

I decided to contact Joe after he did a great job on cleaning my gutters a few months prior. Of course Joe was super busy (when you go work this good you would be too). We set up a date but that had to be pushed back a couple times due to bad weather. Joe actually made it a point to come out on a Sunday morning to do the replacement. What other contractor would do that for their customers ( do expect a Sunday service call,but if you are lucky you never know). Joe and his assistant came in tore out the old gutter and fascia and got to work post haste. In a few hours and a couple of small showers it was all done and even more beautiful than I could have expected. I will hands down call Joe and his crew again for any gutter cleaning,replacement, or roofing issue that comes up. I'm actually one step from putting him on the speed dial. I took a bunch of photos, but they seem to have gotten corrupted. Once I figure out how to get them up and running I'll edit and attach.

The service provider called and said that he was going to come out. I planned my day around him showing up. He never showed up. I called him and he said "oh, I guess I could have given you a courtesy call". I gave him another chance... We scheduled for the next day, early evening... He did it again. He left a voice message, however I didn't respond.

Joe was responsive and polite. Work was carried out quickly and with minimal fuss. Happy to recommend and would certainly ask him back if I needed any other roofing work.

Joe called me back and asked me if I knew that I had gutter guards and I said yes, but that the roof needed to be cleaned up because of some remaining oak tree flowers and that I thought some parts of the oak flowers might have gotten into the gutter despite the covers. He said it would cost $120 and that he could clean the gutters and the roof while he was there and would place a copy of the bill through the mail slot. When I arrived home, the area of the roof that had debris was cleared and it appeared that area around the gutters also was cleared of debris. In the house, there was a copy of the bill with Joe's note that he didn't think it should cost me $120 since the gutters didn't have that much debris, so that he would be happy if I paid $80 for the work. I was impressed by his note and also his promptness in getting a hold of me after I requested contact. It also looks like he did a very good job - everything looks very clean now. I'm very happy to recommend Joe Hennelly and Son to others!

I joined Angie's List to find a company to clean my gutters. I went with the company that had the most, best reviews, and was not disappointed. It took Joe a couple of days to return my initial call, but when he did, he said he would have someone in my area in two day's time. This was perfect for me, and very quick. That day, his people arrived ahead of schedule, which was great. They gave me an estimate, then went to work. They worked quickly and were done in about an hour. Afterwards, they said the job was easier than they had anticipated, and reduced the cost of the cleaning. All-in-all, they were great. I will definitely be hiring them for my next gutter cleaning.

Perfect service. They set the appointment up for a week after I called. Then called and asked if they could come a day early. Final price was below the original estimate.

This was my first time using Hennelly & Son. I had just had a lot of landscaping done and noticed a downspout had separated from the gutter and needed to be re-secured. It had also been a long time since the gutters were cleaned, so wanted to have that done too. Called, thinking I'd schedule something for sometime in the next couple weeks. Instead, they were in the area and came within a half hour of the call! The work was done quickly and well, and no damage occurred in the newly-planted garden, for which I was appreciative. Couldn't be happier with the responsiveness or the work and will definitely use them again. While there, some reasonable suggestions were made for repairs that will need attention in the fall, but he didn't try to push anything on us at the time. Excellent service!

Great. Joe scheduled our cleaning within a week of calling. Cleared the gutters and even removed some additional tree refuse we had piled up near downspouts and hadn't had a chance to put in lawn/leaf bags.

He was timely and did a good job. I would hire them again. Price was comparable with service I rec'd last year from another company.

Took downspouts off and cleaned blockage out. Repaired one joint where the downspout met the roof part.

Joe completed all the work today. As always, it went as planned. I really appreciate the fact that he completes what is truly necessary and lets me know if things can be put "on hold" for a bit. That helps my budget. I trust Joe and that is so important.

Original appointment for the work was cancelled by Joe but he called the morning of & re-scheduled. He left a bill which was a couple of hundred dollars lower than the estimate he provided, noting that the gutters were in better shape than he had expected. This was a huge plus for us & I think says a lot about is honesty & professionalism. We still have some problems with a portion of the porch gutter but I think that has something to do with the gutter itself & not with the quality of Joe's work. We have a call in to him to follow up re: that & I expect he will be able to help us out with that. We were pleasantly surprised that the bill came in so much lower than the estimate and very pleased with the service and the quality of the work. We definitely would use his company again & plan to be in touch in the Fall to keep the gutters in good shape.

I spoke with Joe on the phone. We scheduled a cleaning within a few days. While we had to reschedule due to a storm, everything otherwise went perfectly smoothly. His son called when they were on their way, worked efficiently, and when finished there was no trace except beautifully working gutters. And, in fact, they charged a bit less that their over-the-phone estimate. Highly recommend. I would use them again, and just recommended them to our neighbors.

Joe Hennelly seemed to do a professional job and pointed out a couple of issues about which I hadn't been fully aware. I was very satisfied with my interaction with him. My only (small) issue is that the appointment was originally for 12:00 noon, and he didn't make it until 1:30/1:45. He did call sometime after 12:00 to say he was running late.

Excellent. Very responsive and easy to work with. Highly recommended. Job came in 200 under estimate because Joe realized that we didn't need to replace downspouts because they were simply incorrectly installed.
