Hennelly & Son Roofing & Gutters

Our house is over 100 years old. We have a low-sloping roof where an ice dam developed last year, letting water leak into an interior wall. Needless to say, I couldn't go through the winter without taking care of this. Next thing I knew it was November, and I still hadn't got it fixed. I called around, and Joe and his partner came out on a rainy day, climbed out on the roof and took a look at what needed to be done. I really wanted to get the work done quickly, so we settled on his first open date, which was almost a month away. But he was willing to come out on a Sunday right after Thanksgiving to get it done. I was pleasantly surprised when Joe called about 5 days later and said he'd had a cancellation and could fit me in that afternoon. Three weeks earlier than we'd scheduled. He knew how eager I was to get the work done and made it happen. He and his team came over, laid down the ice/snow guard (I think that's what you call it) and the shingles. Fixed the gutter, removed and replaced the rotted wood from the soffit and fascia, then painted them with some left-over paint we had in the cellar. You can't tell it was ever a problem. Looks brand new. And my stress level has dropped appreciably. He alos noticed as he was looking out a window in my hallway that the gutters were backed up with water, and suggested that we take care of those too. I knew this needed to be done, but forgot to mention it. So it was good that he was paying attention. Because it would've just been another thing I had to take care of. And now it isn't. Very professional, very eager to help, and they know what they're doing.

Joe did an excellent job repairing the downspouts to our three family decker home. After months looking for a company to help us we luckily found Joe Hennelly to help us out. Joe and his team were punctual and friendly. They not only repaired the down spouts but made sure to seal any areas of the gutters that may cause issues down the line. Can not say enough but this company. Joe also took the time to clean our back yard. I give this company an A+!!!

Joe was nice on the phone. Had to postpone the work twice because of weather. The third time he did not show for the job. Never called me to tell me why he didn't show.

Excellent work. The were on time. By the time I arrived almost all the work was done. Quick response. They tighten the downspouts that were loose.

It went great - I can't say enough about what good and conscientious guy Joe is. My problem ended up being different than my roof but he took time to help me narrow it down and understand what it could be. I will always look to him first for any roof or gutter issue I have. Great person.

I contacted Mr Hennelly by email on Angie's list, on Saturday he called me within a day or so, and had his crew at my house on Wednesday, they showed up at 0830, were done and out in an hour. They showed pictures of some areas that need some repair, never once were they pushy about getting the repairs done or using them for the job, I felt very comfortable with them. I would defiantly recommend them and I will have them back in the spring for the repair work !

Joe was great - he responded quickly to my inquiry with a quote, and found a date on his calendar that worked for me as well. The crew was right on schedule and fantastic. They reviewed the job based on Joe's estimate and the final cost was lower (!) than the initial quote. Beyond cleaning out the gutters and drains, they also took the time to fix a few problem areas. A fantastic experience from start to finish!

Prompt estimate. Had to delay finishing work because soffits were damp. Once started said that cost would be more than estimate. Nice work. Good, not perfect, clean-up. Final bill was 150% of original estimate. I paid 140% after objecting.

Joe contacted me within a few minutes of putting my request up on Angie's List. Although he was very busy because of the recent storm, he was able to come to my house within a few hours of talking to him on the phone. He was very thorough, and figured out what was wrong in a few minutes. He and his helper set about patching/repairing the roof, and even included fixing the end of the gutter that was pulling away from the house, all for a very fair, reasonable price. I will definitely use this company again if I have any issues with my gutters or roof. Additionally, Joe seems like a very personable guy, and easy to talk with about my roof problems.

Great work! It looks great, and it works great. I immediately tested it by spraying it with a hose and found that water no longer just ran off the roof everywhere. In subsequent rain storms it has held up great.

Took there time to clean my gutters and downspout and cleaned up after.

Excellent work as well as suggestions for the best solutions. The only issue was that there was not very prompt call back to our inquiries and scheduling. But, they were very courteous, professional and excellent at what they do. We'd hire them again.

The service, quality of work, and professionalism were all fantastic. Joe really cares about his clients and wants them to be 100% satisfied. This was a big job removing old wood gutters that had become essentially non-functional with a very small interior trough. Joe came to evaluate the work and gave me a quote and gave me the color choices for both gutters and downspouts. I was able to visit the Ryan wholesale store to get free samples of both gutters and downspouts to make the best color choices. The day of the install, Joe and his crew arrived on time and went to work. He even had asked me before the job to give him some of the exterior trim paint so that he could paint any woodwork that became exposed as a consequence of removing the old gutters. When I returned after work in the evening, the crew was just finishing the job. Joe went around with me to make sure I was satisfied and made a few adjustments that I requested. Everything was cleaned up and the old gutters were hauled away. After the first large rain storm, Joe called to make sure that I was satisfied with everything, which I was. I will continue to use Hennelly and Sons for all my future gutter work and cleaning.

Joe cleaned our gutters in the Spring and we were very happy with his crew and the price. We called him again to reroute a section of gutter. He returned our call promptly and came and checked out the job a couple of days later. Within a week the job was done, and his crew was even careful not to walk on some newly planted grass in our yard. We were very pleased and would hire Joe again.

Good communication leading up to day of service. Job done with good attention to detail. Fair price. Today it rained and I could see that everything is working well. Highly recommended.

Joe was amazing to work with. We initially hired him to replace gutters however when he came to do the job and got up on the roof, he let us know that the rubber roof had deteriorated and was very wet. He heped us get up ladder to see the roof and took us through what the issues were / then gave us a quote on site that day to replace rood and repair rotting that has occurred. He was extremely professional and encouraged us to get additional quotes before making a decision which we did and after getting quotes, it was obvious his was the most fair and came with the best warranty of any of the bids. He recommended we get a tree that was over the roof cut back before he did the work to protect the new roof going down which we did. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of Joe and his team when they were on site doing the work. They took pictures of the project throughout the day and sent to me so I could see what they were doing (since there is no access to roof and would require me going up 30+ feet on a ladder), they cleaned up the site immaculately at the end of each day and were just a pleasure to have working at my house. 3 weeks after the project was complete, we had heavy rains and Joe proactively called us to make sure that everything was good with the roof and we were satisfied and as well reiterate if any issues to give him a call. I would highly recommend Joe and his crew to anyone looking for roof or gutter work. He is the best!

It was fantastic. The gutter downspouts are very nicely tailored to the side of the house and look very nice. Joe was great about giving us options in terms of the color and also the way in which the gutter was installed (e.g. the slope and where the downspouts go)

I called Joe who answered and promptly scheduled a visit for the following week which worked fine for me. Joe gave me a rough idea of what he thought the cost would be but said that they would let me know for sure once they were on-site. Two days later Joe called me in the morning and said he had a crew in my area and would I mind if they came over that day. I was thrilled to have them come by earlier than expected! The crew showed up, were extremely pleasant and professional, and, after walking around the house, quoted me the same price that Joe had given me on the phone. Honestly, I expected that the cost would have been more based on how packed my gutters were. The guys went about cleaning out the gutters and downspouts and before I knew it they were done. I had taken a look while they were working and there was debris everywhere on my porch and walkways which is what I expected based on the condition of my gutters. After the team left I went outside and was amazed because you never would have known they were there as the yard and my walkways were completely clear of all the debris. Attending to these kinds of home maintenance items is always the last thing on my list because I never know who to call or how good they will be. Joe and his team were fantastic! They were responsive, prompt, professional and meticulous in their clean-up which is all I could have asked for and more! Joe is definitely the guy I will call on in the future for roofing and gutter jobs.

The work was performed quickly and the area was cleaned up just a fast. We also talked about possible changes to the gutters in the future and a quote was giving for that service. I really appreciated the fast response and action that was needed to clear the gutters and then clean the debris away from the house.

We had agreed on the work for months and Joe scheduled it. He came, reviewed the work to fix the gutter, install the downspout and fix some depressions on the rubber roof. On the agreed day, he shows up, reviews the work, takes a check and 1/2 hour later says he cannot do the work. I have never seen such lack of professionalism. I would never hire these guys. I am not sure they are capable other than cleaning gutters. Do not waste your time. It was a sheer waste of our time.

As usual, Joe showed up on time and got the job done expeditiously and without any issues.

I called Joe in the morning and he said he would send someone out to the house within a few hours and call me with an estimate. He did so and the estimate was quite reasonable. By the end of the day all the work was completed on gutters that had not been cleaned out in several years. He was polite, professional and reliable. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him again. He was a pleasure to work with.
