I called this company based on all of the positive reviews and my initial impression was very positive-I called on a Sunday and expected a voice mail and instead, Joe picked up. Had a nice conversation and he said he's call back on Monday-which he did. So far so good. He sent a guy out to take a look and provide an estimate. Which he did-again, good. The estimate was fine, and I conveyed that to him but I have been unable to get a returned call since. My job is small-replacement of a section of the gutter- but I wish he had just told me that he was too busy for such a small job instead of wasting my time.

Joe is incredibly honest, professional, and just a genuinely nice guy. He's knowledgeable, friendly, and works really efficiently. He and his team did a great job cleaning the gutters, reconnecting a couple of downspouts that had gone askew, and then cleaning up afterwards. His integrity really shone through, though, when he told us we actually didn't need to replace our soffits and fascia (even though it would have been work for him and money in his pocket).You can't go wrong with Joe Hennelly (and Sons).

Called Joe to come look at our roof to see if there was any damage or leaky spots as a result of last winter's ice dams. We had extensive water damage in the house which had just been repaired, and we did not want a repeat episode this winter. Although we played a lot of phone tag at first, Joe came out earlier than scheduled, got up on the roof and did a thorough inspection. He found no problems and did not charge us for his time, nor did he try to sell us on any needless repairs. He was very honest and professional.

Joe Hennelly was very responsive, punctual and professional. He and his son fixed a couple of holes in my rubber roof and told me that there is no need for a roof replacement for a couple of years. He recommended a couple of other things that might need to be checked/repaired before the winter - I will definitely call them back.

It went very well. It took a while to arrange a mutually acceptable date, but we were successful and they were punctual. Price was significantly higher than what we've paid in the past, but they stated that the work would last three years - this made it a good deal. Didn't get a written receipt or warranty from them. Workers were friendly and appeared to be thorough.

We had a leak in our family room ceiling and several days of heavy rain were on the way. I was very worried and hoped I could prevent serious damage by having the problem diagnosed and repaired. I read past reviews about Mr. Hennelly and his son and was very impressed. I also like supporting a family business. Mr. Hennelly came out to see me an hour after I called. Talk about a stand up guy. He looked at the damage, assessed the problem quickly and made the repairs with his son standing by to assist. It?s getting harder to find good people like Joe and his son. Joe has been repairing roofs, chimneys, gutters and more for many years and he knows his stuff. I highly recommend Hennelly & Son Roofing & Gutters, do not hesitate for a moment to call them. They are super great!

I was very happy to have my first experience on Angie's List be such a great one. The guys from the company were extremely friendly and fair. The service was done well and quickly. They honesty was also very nice...I asked about replacing a part of my roof because of damage from the winter and they told me I didn't need it. I feel like most people would take advantage and do the work even if it wasn't needed. These guys were honest and straightforward. I am having them back to do more work because it went so well!

Mike and Shawn came today to fix two downspouts that were damaged during this past winter. They arrived on time, were professional and efficient completing the job in just a couple of hours. The replacement downspouts match the house perfectly. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs this type of work down. The entire process was easy, the quality of the work excellent. Mr. Hennelly?s professional integrity is beyond reproach. When other roofing contractors suggested replacing the roof, Mr. Hennelly discovered that the roof was in very good shape and needed minimal repair and maintenance. He was present himself along with his crew and his workmanship was outstanding. He completed the work well ahead of the schedule. It is with great pleasure to recommend Hennelly and Son Roofing & Gutters to all.

The owner's son was the person who came out to service our gutters. They did such a great job. Both the owner and his son were super nice and professional. With the weather being unpredictable, it's great to find a service that I can rely on.

Contacted them via Angie's List, received a call from Joe and he sent his son out the same day to clean my gutters. They did a very good job and cleaned up after themselves.

Very well. He succeeded in stopping a persistent leak problem that other roofers had failed to solve ( in a tricky spot, on a roof with sharp angles and valleys). In addition, he spent significant time assessing the condition and problems of the roof on another part of the house, which I may decide to have him re-roof in the future. It is tough work to do in the middle of winter. His price was quite reasonable, and he and his helper were very responsive. I had heard from a neighbor who also had a good experience with roof repairs that he did at a very fair price. We both concluded that this is a roofer with integrity and would recommend him readily.

We have a very strange leak in our roof, which is causing a fair amount of damage, but has been nearly impossible to locate. I called many companies, none of whom wanted to come out for a small job. Joe, who was leaving on vacation, told me to text him, saying he would contact me when he got back. I texted my information, expecting never to hear from him. He contacted me the day he returned, as promised, and showed up at our house two hours later. Two hours after that, the job was done. It remains to be seen whether the leak is gone, but he was incredibly prompt, and thoughtful, and professional, and is willing to come back and keep patching if we haven't found it. That's the best news of all.

The crew was very polite and professional! They repaired all of our broken downspouts and inspected all of the gutters. Great experience!

Overall, Joe did a fine job with the gutter replacement. (B rating was mainly for the roof patching from the squirrels which were torn back open a couple of hours later). The only odd thing was that he showed up unannounced on a Saturday morning pretty early (he called first as he was just down the street but it was a sudden last minute appointment). He was trying to fit us into a busy schedule. I had used Joe before so I was generally okay with this but it was a little unexpected. In addition to the gutter, I had Joe patch a couple of holes that squirrels made. In retrospect, I should have left the squirrels to the critter control companies because the holes he fixed were torn open again by a squirrel a couple of hours after he finished (and after I had paid for it). I ended up needed a critter control company for the squirrels anyways so I should have just left Joe to the gutter work and saved a couple of hundred dollars. He was honest with me though in that they would likely come back especially if there was a nest with babies inside (which in fact there was). But I asked him to patch the holes anyways hoping that the critter control company would not be needed. Lesson learned (no fault of Joe's). Bottom line: Joe does great gutter work and is honest with what you need and don't need. If you also have an issue with pests, leave that to the critter companies.

They did a great job! Very professional, showed up on time. We just bought the house and have no idea when the gutters were last cleaned. There was A LOT of stuff in there. When they were done, there was nothing left in the gutters or the ground. Cleaned up completely; there was no sign of all the "grossness" that came out. We would definitely hire them again!

Joe was very responsive during the ice dam crisis over the winter. He was too busy to help us but went out of his way to call back and advise us. In comparison, the people we were able to find to address an emergency leak by clearing the roof of snow charged us multiple times what others were asking and piled snow on our deck, leading to long-term damage. More recently, we called Joe back to address any issues with the roof and were worried we would need to replace our flat roof, which is close to 25 years old. Instead, Joe pointed out a minor repair caused by improper installation and charged us 1/10th of what were expecting. He said our roof will last another few years and was not the cause of the ice dam issues we had over the winter. It's rare to meet someone with Joe's responsiveness and professionalism, especially when they are in a situation where they can charge a lot more as others are doing. We got another estimate from a roofer this summer for $15K-20K to completely replace it after a cursory look. Again, Joe's hard to find and we know who we'll be calling to eventually replace the roof.

Team came in, cleaned gutters and down spouts. Also gave me a call to report out on the work and explain their opinions on the condition, issues and potential solutions for the gutters at my home. Very professional and will certainly use again.

They came promptly and made the repair the same day. They were very courteous and professional. My gutter was repaired and secured to prevent future problems. I highly recommend their services.

I contacted Hennelly by email and he replied a day later asking me to call instead. I called and left a message and didn't hear back from him until 2-3 days later, at which point he asked me to text him my address so we could set up an appointment. I get a text a week later asking me again what work I needed done. I texted him back with the work description and I never heard back.

Joe was very responsive from the beginning -- he actually answered his phone (unlike almost everyone else I called) and he came out within a couple days to give me a quote. Of the 3 or 4 others his quote was the lowest so we went with him. He showed up with his crew on time and got the whole job done in one day. The roof looks great and I will definitely use him in the future.

I left a voicemail message - no reply. Called again and ultimately Joe called back and told me that he's out of the office and I should leave my contact info etc on his voicemail. Never heard from him again.

Joe was timely in returning my calls and answering questions. He arrived on-time. It was an added bonus that he documented the work with photos and sent them to me as work was being completed. Quality of work was very good. I thought the price was reasonable given the quality of work and level of service Hennelly & Sons provided.
