They got our complicated job done over the course of a single day for an extremely fair price. Trust us--These are the guys you want to replace your gutters.

+ -1 moreWe had a partial downspout blockage. I called Joe late in the afternoon and he responded the following morning. He was able to come within the hour and took care of the problem promptly. He and his son were friendly and efficient and his fee was modest. I can't recommend him highly enough.

He said that it didn't need to be done yet, that we should wait until after the leaves fall in the Fall. Passing up money to ensure we get more for our money seems like a very unusual trait in a contractor

Description of Work: I had a leak in my roof, Hennelly and Son's were incredibly responsive called me before 8AM and showed up by 8AM the next morning. They checked out my roof and found the issue quickly as well as found other potential future issues. They fixed all issues in a timely manor and didn't try to upsell me. I find this quality of service, for a fair price without the up selling to be rare in today's climate but Hennelly and Son knocked it out of the park. I will 100% send my future business to Hennelly and Son. Very impressed.

+ -1 moreJoe and his team were tasked with repairing a section of our condo's roof that had been leaking into our kitchen and dining room. He did a fantastic job repairing and the damaged rubber roof (which first required the removal of a dilapidated roof deck, which Joe and his guys took care of for us), removing rotten wood and old insulation, and replacing the entire area with brand new, commercial-grade material. They were professional, timely, and respectful of our home. Highly recommended!

+ 0 moreOutstanding experience start to finish. Responsive, professional, punctual, personable, cleaned up thoroughly.... Can't say enough good about my experience. Also had an experience emphasizing Joe's honesty and skill. After having had several other professionals look at skylight leaks and tell me everything from I need to replace the skylights to I need to replace the roof, Joe figured out that the problem was as simple as some loose screws that were allowing water in. While he was there replacing the back porch roof he zapped the loose screws with some caulk like stuff and just like that, a skylight that had been leaking badly for 2 years is water tight. We need more work on gutters and downspouts and I will be having Joe do it without a doubt.

+ -1 moreMy sunroom was leaking after a couple of heavy rain storms. I thought it was a gutter problem and called Joe. He was able to come over that day and quickly identified that it was a problem with the roof. He explained that water was getting under the shingles and rotted the plywood. He showed me how weak the plywood was by walking over it. Since the sunroom has a low pitch, Joe went over the pro and cons of re-shingling vs a rubber roof. We decided to go with a rubber roof. When there was a weekend warm enough to install it, Joe made time to make sure it got done. He replaced all of the wet insulation and plywood and installed the roof. He also gave me a great price and promptly answered any questions I had after the install.

He was able to unclog an underground drainpipe that had a huge mass of dirt and decomposed leaves in it, causing the pipe to overflow when it rained. Very responsive, fair pricing, and a good guy to work with.

+ 1 moreI called Joe last Spring to have my gutters cleaned. We had some scheduling bumps along the way, but I stuck with him because he was always honest with me and never made excuses. I have found him to be a straight shooter who doesn't talk you into work that doesn't need to be done. When the flashing around one of our chimneys failed, due to poor workmanship by someone else, Joe came to take care of it as soon as he was safety able to get onto the roof and explained what had gone wrong. I like and trust him and definitely plan on calling him for future work.

+ -1 moreJoe and I talked and then texted Saturday Oct. 31 and again on Nov. 2nd. He was kind and suggested i wait to have the gutters repaired and cleaned until I had the tree work done. Made a lot of sense. Really appreciated his honesty. After having the tree work done I texted Sat. Nov. 14 to ask if he could come that week. No response. I Texted Tues. Nov 17. No response. On Wed. Nov. 25 he called and said he'd been totally swamped and that I should call Monday after Thanksgiving. I called Monday Nov. 30th and we spoke. I told him my neighbor also wanted work done. He said he would be at our places between 12-4 (in that window of time) the following Monday. He said he'd give us a nice package for doing both houses at once. He never showed. I never heard from them again. Seems like they are just too busy... My gutters still need work.

+ 0 moreEvent though they were really backed up, they put us in the queue to have a clog addressed. They came quickly and diagnosed the problem thoroughly. It was fixed within an hour. They also informed us of a more long-term problem with a particular section, but that it didn't need to be addressed until late fall. In other words, they could have charged a lot of money, but just worked on the problem at hand. I am very appreciative.

I am very disappointed in their skill, lack of care for employees and the way they baited us with one price then changed it 40 bucks!!! They were here last year n I didn't have this feeling but instead of wanting my business, they did such a stinky job now they won't get it again. A real disappointment because I have more work which needs attention, shingles, a roof n gutters replaced too.
Description of Work: Two young guys arrived in a rain storm wearing slippery sneakers and no protective gear. I gave them bottles of water before I left for work.They were nice young men but didn't know the cost of the "bundled job", four houses side by side Apparently with the amount or rain falling they realized they couldn't do the job( a few houses) due to the inclement weather. They claimed they were told to come because there was too much work during the week. I spoke with them about my concern for their safety even if my gutters were in desperate need of cleaning. The demanded money before the job was started. The did only half my gutters n knocked down a downspout which lay in my front years for a week, even after calling twice. I felt unimportant n brushed off my Mr Henley. I still need my other gutters clean. It was completely amateurish job. + -1 moreThe crew splattered linseed oil on two sides of our house and on the patio. We tried washing the highly visible stains off, but were unsuccessful. When I reported the problem over a month ago, Mr. Hennelly assured me that the unsightly stains would be removed and the siding repainted. When he didn't follow through, I made additional attempts to contact him, unsuccessfully. He has made no attempt to correct this problem, nor have we received any further communication from him. He has not solved the problem and clearly has no intention of doing so. Update Feb 13, 2016: Dispute resolved. Provider issued a full refund. Agreed that I will repair damage to siding and patio.
Description of Work: Clean and apply linseed oil to wooden gutters.

+ 1 morethe work was nicely performed, leaves were cleaned. they also try to fix the leaking. It's hard for me to tell if the leak was fixed at the time because you only see it when it rains, I assume they are all fixed, so I gave them a good tip. After a week, and it started to rain, I realized there is still leaking. I emailed couple times but i got no response. I called them, i reached someone. I was promised to have it fixed and was told I am on their to do list. I was happy they responded to me. They came and tried to fix it, but there is another spot also still leaking. They came again and tried to fix. I appreciate their effort coming twice to try to fix the problem. Overall, they are responsible and they do try to fix the issue.

They said that they would come by on a Friday (1/15/16) and I waited all day for them. They never came and never contacted me to explain or set up another time. I really need my gutters cleaned and repaired. This is the THIRD Angie's List provider to be non-responsive. unfortunately.I have lost faith in this source of providers

They claim they'll come for an estimate, but in my opinion they gave me a big run around and they never ended up coming for the estimate despite repeated calls and conversations. I have no clue what is the issue on their end, but in my opinion it seemed they were disorganized or not really on the ball.

+ 1 moreWe had Joe and his team out to replace a tree damaged gutter, repair a couple of downspouts and give our gutters a general clean. I called Joe and he not only answered his phone immediately but he managed to go by our house and give us a cost estimate that same day. We didn't need to be there so Joe and his team (a guy name Dominic) set up and did an amazing job. Joe is very easy to get a hold of and he followed up with us after the job was done to check that everything was done well. There was one minor hiccup with scheduling. They were scheduled to do the work on a Wednesday but the weather that day (really windy and rainy) delayed the work until Thursday- this is totally understandable. I gave them a B for punctuality because on Thursday they had to delayed again until Friday because they didn't have the right scaffolding/parts to fix the guttering over our front deck. But they did come on Friday and the job was done very quickly and done very well. The price was exactly as quoted. We are planning on using them again for other projects including getting gutter guards installed.

+ 1 moreI saw his truck twice. The first time was to provide an estimate. The second time was to deliver the wrong material. He never reappeared. The owner is very affable but provided far more excuses than customer service. More than once I called days before the scheduled work and he sounded as if he had never heard from me. In the last series of phone calls (initiated by me), he promised me he would put the appointment in his calendar and would get the job done before the snow and ice came. Apparently, I forgot to ask him which year.

My father-in-law said Joe undercharged him ( perhaps he didn't realize that he got a senior discount). + -1 moreHennelly & Sons came out to the location, scooped the work and gave me a price. We went ahead and scheduled them for gutter cleaning on a Monday. The Saturday before the scheduled cleaning he called and wanted to come out right then and there to do the work. I instructed that it couldn't be done because the owner was not home and I could not gain access to part of the yard. He was not happy with my answer and was then rude on the phone and ended the call. They never showed up for the work on Monday and I had to call and see if they were coming by. He stated that there was an issue with another ongoing job and they wouldn't be able to make it out till the end of the week. The end of the week came and he still did not contact me. I again contacted him and asked if he wanted the work and he stated yes and they could get to it the following week. Again, I never heard anything and he has yet to come and do the job. I am moving on with another company.
