+ -1 moreWe ordered firewood. The wood is great. They set it up on my deck - up 5 steps. Very convenient. The rack they put the wood on is terrific - keeps it together and easily accessible. Communication was not prompt. Delays getting back to us. He had to cancel once. And even on delivery day, was several hours late (he did call to let me know - fortunately, I was at home all day, so it wasn't a problem). He forgot to bring the box of starter sticks that was part of the order, and promised to bring them by another day. I had to call 10 days later to remind him. Then he brought them right over - just in time for our first cold night.

+ 1 morePerfectly, I ordered online, the wood was delivered on time the delivery man had to shovel a path to where I wanted the wood for over an hour and was actually cheerful! Efficient construction of the rack and a nicely stacked almost full cord of kiln dried and clean wood.
Description of Work: I received the cleanest, driest, best burning firewood I have ever had. It was delivered on time, in the middle of a blizzard and the deliveryman was cheerful despite the fact that there was no path shoveled. I have used GMFIREWOOD for three winters and couldn't be happier. One phone call and the wood appears neatly stacked, with fat wood in a rack supplied by GMFIREWOOD. THe wood ignites and burns evenly. I have fires nearly year-round on the ocean and I couldn't ask for a better product or more reliable service. I highly recommend GMFIREWOOD.

+ 0 moreI moved to Salem last Thanksgiving just before one of our worst winters. A friend of mine has been using GMFirewood for years and highly recommends them. Peter was able to get the wood to us quickly, even with all the snow storms. It burns nicely and smells really good.
Description of Work: I had firewood delivered to my home with a wood stacker included. GM Firewood did all the work- it could not have been easier for me!

+ -1 moreI have been using GM Firewood for 3 years now and have had nothing but great service and perfect firewood. I love the fact that they stack the wood and don't just dump it in a big pile. They also give you a rack so you don't have to waste you money on that. I usually order online so I don't have to call anyone, wait for them to call be back, miss the call, wait some more... I will continue to use them till they run out of wood!

+ -1 moreWe continue to order our firewood from gmfirewood year after year because the process goes so smoothly and the prices are reasonable, and the service is great. Ordering via website is so easy, and having the firewood stacked as part of the price is even easier. It has been a pleasure doing business with Peter and gmfirewood.
Description of Work: We have used gmfirewood for the past 7 years or so to get our seasonal firewood. Peter has an easily navigable website to place an order for a full or half order or refill, or cover or fatwood starters. Once ordered Peter was in contact about scheduling, and the order was delivered in a short amount of time-and stacked even quicker. If you don't have a rack one can be rented and used season after season.

+ -1 moreI went to their website and order 1/2 cord of kiln dried firewood. Set a delivery date. Returned from work on the day of delivery and 1/2 cord of firewwod was neatly stacked exactly where I had instructed. They cleaned up after themslves and i would not have known they had made the delivery if I had not checked. The wood burns really well. They included a good variety of sizes - smaller sizes to get the fire started and larger pieces for when the fire is ablaze. I've used them on several occassions. Fair price, prompt delivery, good burning wood, and they clean up after themselves.
