SHIELDS ENCLOSURES INC

First of all I know this is the same Jim Shields that was here last summer because his cell phone number on this site is in my phone contacts and on the business card he gave to me. He is terrible. He worked wiht NP Home Improvements on my home and helped create the damage I have here now. NP, created 3 jobs out of 1 job by cutting the overhang off of my whole mobile home and Jim Shields worked right by his side. I did alot of head nodding as I knew they were both lieing to me. See my review on NP Home Improvements and please do not consider inviting either one of these people into your home for any type of repair. Jim is a smooth talker, liar and a rip off. He told one contractor I spoke with he had nothing to do with this job. I have his cell phone, business cards for NP Home Improvement and other proof that he had everything to do with this job. He's a moving target so watch it. He is now with another Home Improvement Company from what I hear. If he approaches you please turn him away. I can't tell you what I have been through with Jim Shields and NP Home Improvement. It's been just too horrible. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. STAY AWAY FROM JIM SHIELDS. Everyone I speak to in this profession of Home Improvement seems to know what he is all about. Wish I knew sooner.

This story is a long one, and the complete details will be made available on our blog. The short version is that they sold us a room that didn't have the features we requested. As the installation progressed, problems came up that were not addressed correctly. As more problems arose, they started avoiding our calls and not returning our calls. Eventually stopping work on the job altogether. We contacted the town on some of the work that they claimed didn't need to be inspected and the town said, not only did it need to be inspected it, but it was not up to code. Now we are left with an incomplete sunroom, and no confidence that they will be able to compete the job correctly. We have contacted a lawyer, but want to get our story out there so people can know the true company. We have also learned that the company recently went out of business operating under the name Shields Enterprises, Inc. They restarted the business as Shields Enclosures using the money and name of Adam Quenneville, a well know company in our area. We were informed that Shields Enterprises had a history of poor workmanship, and Jim Shields has a reputation for walking off of jobs.
