Worst hire I have ever made. They were rude, totally incompetent, and had terrible customer service. They did not finish my install, gave me terrible advice, and refused to refund me until I had my credit card company get involved. It was the single worst company I have ever interacted with, and that is not hyperbole. DO NOT HIRE THEM FOR ANY REASON!

This has been an ongoing issue, this past Saturday, March 9 2019 I discovered there was no hot water again. Each time I call Payless for Oil and explain to them the issue I will eventually get a service representative to my house, the problem is the $89,00 service fee you have to pay just for them to show up. Now I understand this is normal with any company to charge this fee but when they tell me they don’t know what the problem is after spending 10 minutes looking at the furnace then I have a problem. Last month I made the same call to Payless for Oil again for no hot water, technician showed up and informed me he would clean the jets and perform a tune up, I had no problem with this, I just wanted my hot water back ( this time between the service call and the maintenance performed was around $300.00). Now this past Saturday no hot water again and this is where Payless for Oil lost me as a customer. You would think that being a good customer and with the history of their unsuccessful repairs to correctly repair my hot water issue that I’d be able to get a service technician out to my house to look at this issue again, but nope, I was informed by the technician on duty that since I didn’t purchase a maintenance plan that he would not come and I’d have to call the office on Monday to report this discrepancy then. Now I’m no Rhodes scholar but I’m pretty sure they are a 24/7 operation this means I should have been able to get a technician to my house to look at this. I have personally had the service manager and another individual to my house to look at this problem before and the conversation turned to how the business was slowing down due to other heating alternatives besides the oil industry, don’t you think that this company would do anything to keep their good customers rather than alienate them in times like these? Sorry Payless for Oil, I’d rather Pay more for Oil somewhere else!

It was a great experience and reasonably priced. The technician was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He cleaned out parts of my furnace that had been gunked for a while (the previous owners didn't have the system serviced). Removed water from a pipe that was making the radiators bang horribly loud.

They came on time, did professional work, got done in a day, and have come back quickly when I've needed service. I also buy my fuel oil from them--reliable automatic refill & good product

1. As a source of fuel oil, their "B5 Ultra Clean Heating Oil" is reasonably priced and delivered automatically, reliably. 2. They provided expert consultation, provided a detailed proposal, and installed the new boiler. They were courteous, prompt, and very helpful, and are always available to answer questions. 3. Judging by the work they did installing the burner, I asked them to install the new toilets. They scheduled the work the next day and did excellent work.

Very well. The company was responsive from inspection/evaluation to installation. Nice work and a good price.

This one is easy... it goes great because I don't have to be there. They fill my tank and we stay warm. :)

The installation went well, but after 8 months chasing after them for a receipt (required by the state of MA to provide any credits and refunds) we have had it. All they need to do is itemize the receipt and put a description, make and model for the furnace and water heater. They don't respond to several calls and emails. Maybe they don't know the brand and model of the equipment they install? I wouldn't be surprised. WORST CUSTOMER DIS-SERVICE EVER!!!

I have been with Fuel Services for both oil and propane supplies for 30+ years. I used them for a boiler and plumbing installations as well. Their employees and the owner, Steve Chase, are among the very best customer service people I have ever done business with. You cannot go wrong choosing this company for your energy needs, assuming you are fortunate enough to live within their service area.

Their customer service is very good. Not only the salesman that dealt with me to begin with, but the installers and just their whole company is very good. Anything I needed to know, they were right there with the answer.

They came when they said they would. They were the best price we could find. Very polite on phone.

He came and looked at it for the initial visit. He figured out what the problem was -- there is a collection pan inside the vent directly over the furnace which catches compressor condensation and pipes it to an outflow pump: this pan was tilted in the wrong direction, away from the pipe to the out flow pump He said he would need more materials and more time to fix it and we set up appt for the next day -- he came with the materials and in about an hour he had accessed the pan and re-aligned it. The leakage stopped and i am completely satisfied.

We got several quotes and they were prompt and had the cheapest quote. They worked to get us an oil furnace that could be converted to gas in the future. Very easy to work with and professional.

This repair began in August and ended in November, after several phone calls and three visits. The original service call at the beginning of August happened in a timely fashion. The technician crafted a makeshift solution so that we would get airconditioning on the first floor (zone 1) and still get some upstairs. He would order the new part and come back in two weeks to install it. Nothing happened in two weeks, so I waited another few weeks and called wondering what was going on. The receptionist apologized for the delay and had the service manager call. THen he checked into it and the tech. came back . That process took about a month. Then he discovered that it was the incorrect part (air conditioning unit from 1980's.) Then "radio silence" until I called back again, receptionist apologized, service manager called back, apologized. Tech came back and fixed the problem, which by this time was for the heat. I have had very good luck with Fuel Services service work in the past. Don't know what happened this time. IN the end, the repair was completed and the two zone heating is working very well.

We needed to replace the gas boiler in our house. I got three estimates. The one we received from the people at Fuel Services was the best. This was not the only reason we choose this company. The gentleman who came to the house was more informative than the other companies' people. Our house is approximately 90-100 years old. The representative told us what would be expected to be fix/added to meet the building codes in our city. I loved the fact that they handled everything from start to finish. We needed to do some work on the chimney. Fuel Sevices worked with the mason we hired perfectly, so they got each their job done without getting in each others way. All we had to do was just hire them. After the installation was completed, my mom called the company because she didn't feel the that two of the pipes (that carry the circulating water) weren't getting hot like the other ones and she found a leak at a connection from the new pipe that connected to the radiator (old) that was still in the cellar. The company sent a repair man out and helped her with her concerns. She called twice, they came twice. We still have a small leak at the seam from the pipe to the radiator but she were told that it would seal itself off. I did mention this issue when I paid the balance and was assured that they would make it right if it continued to leak. I know this sounds odd, but we had work done awhile ago by a plumber on a sink and we found a leak at that time also and was told the same thing and it did seal itself off. We'll see. All in all I found this experience to be a good one.

They are very good and reliable. Their technicians seem to be well qualified, courteous and they took care of the problem in short order. I will use them again in the future.

I interviewed three companies to replace my aged heating oil boiler. Fuel Services came the most promptly for to give an estimate, and they took the time to measure my total baseboard distance, to size the system appropriately (I have a small raised ranch with more baseboard length than is really needed, and they took the time to examine it all and educate me about it). They were incredibly helpful, and willing to both educate and respect my intelligence. They showed me their licensing and bonding information in both CT and MA without my asking, and came _back_ to go over detailed, written quotes for three different types of systems, all of which met different scenarios we had discussed during the first visit, while also making friends with my cat. They presented me with a slightly unusual option that would make it possible for me to get a very high efficiency boiler that was a) in my budget for the project, and b) appropriately sized for my small home and low hot water use. It's a combination unit that is more commonly used in condos in the UK, but which may catch on here. They were up-front that this would be their first installation of such a unit, but their explanations were so clear, and their commitment to good service was so evident, that I chose that system anyway. They kept to their contracted costs with no problem. Their subcontractors did great work as well. We had to wait for the city departments to okay our pemit and get the gas line dug, but as soon as those things were done, Fuel Services was right there. They installed the new equipment, detached and removed old equipment, and swept up carefully at the end of the day. They were also patient and responsive while we were dealing with the permitting process, and very encouraging in the face of the city's backlog. They kept me motivated and calm through that time. The system works beautifully, and I am so glad to have chosen it.

Josh and the whole team were a pleasure to work with and they went above and beyond to make sure things were right. We encountered a number of problems during the course of the job and they did everything possible to get the job done right. Cannot say enough good things about them.
