Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding

I obtained estimates from 3 contractors ranging from $10,500 to $13,000 for full overhaul of roof. This was not an ordinary job based on 3 prior layers, yes three layers of shingles and 31 "squares" steep slope.The sales representative (Wyatt Couture) proceeded on the roof to take measurements and evaluate it from a hands on approach which determined the roof needed to be replaced soon. After a lengthy presentation and negotiation process, I signed the contract without evaluating other options, Why? Adam Quenneville is a GAF Master Elite contractor that qualifies for the 50 years Golden Pledge warranty from manufacturer. This was important to me based on the stringent requirements from the manufacturer to qualify. Pay a little more but obtain the best roof protection in the industry. March weather did not cooperate too well due to rain and I mean a lot of rain. Adam Quenneville guaranteed the roof will be completed in one day with perfect weather. Due to the busy street, the dumpster was difficult to place in the driveway and the driver had a bad attitude, this was a subcontractor for Adam Quenneville and I have voiced my complaint with AQ. At the start of the job, Carlos and Jose informed me every step of the process. I was apprehensive of the strip down due to 3 layers and a possibility of rotted boards. The old roof system provided cover for many decades and noticeable leaks were around the chimney and pipe boots.. What a relief and surprise, no rotted boards to replace and copper flashing along all valleys, chimney and pipe boots. By late afternoon, the job was completed. The bushes, landscape, and shrubs were intact and only damages to sprinkler irrigation sensor and driveway. Thanks to Carlos and Jose who were at the job site at all times and maintained a professional tone all day. After completion, customer service was above and beyond. With this job I expected problems but was willing to observe how Adam Quennville will stand up to their quality assurance. First was a problem with the driveway, the dumpster was placed without the wood planks. This caused a crease in driveway. Second, the irrigation water sensor was broken from harness, Adam from AQ came and provided a solution to the driveway which was acceptable to me. Michelle, who stayed in contact with me from beginning to end of project at central office, ordered and delivered the water sensor in person. GAF manufacturer sent a representative after the roof system "weathered" to make sure it met its qualifications. The interaction was good; it was just overwhelming. There were way too many phone calls so I ended up not doing the quote. They called back and forth with me a couple of times and didn't come out. They were too much in your face wanting answers right away. I wasn't comfortable with it.

My experience went well but subsequent stuff was not good with them. I had ice dam issues and I called them to do some kind of a metal liner on the area that had a problem, and they way over charged me which I did not realize at that time because I was so desperate to get it solved. The quality of their work seemed fine. They did not over charge me on the initial roof; the price was okay it was around $7,000 for the roof and around $1,000 for the repair.

They were good. I'm selling my house and there were some issues with the siding, so I actually was getting contractors to come and do an estimate on it. It's really for the people who are buying the house. They are the ones who are going to actually work with them, but I certainly have no reason to believe that they didn't work well with and I think they have an estimate from him. They were very quick in responding and coming to do it. They were not trying to maximize what they did. In fact they gave advice saying if it was really necessary to do this particular thing or this particular thing because the people who had done the house inspection for selling had listed all this stuff that had to be done. They said it was really not necessary for my buyers to do this and that, so I thought they were very responsible. They're price is certainly on the upper end, but their professionalism seemed to be very good.

Salesman came over told us exactly how much would cost. Crew came over completely reshingled the entire roof. They cleaned up their stuff every day took two days. And when they left it was beautiful.

They were good. They actually do a lot of stuff. They were good at cleaning up and they offered eco options. They do solar stuff and all kinds of other things. Their clean up was good. We had more than one company give us a quote and their price was the best. I would use this company in the future.

Very slick presentation, way too expensive!

I called and made an appointment with Adam Quenneville Roofing and Siding. The day before or the day of the appointment they called to confirm. I was very happy about that. They showed up on time, they were professional when they showed up, and it worked out fine. They were very honest and they told me that I really didn't need anything right now.

They were great to start with but then there were a number of interruptions like a tornado that came through my area. They just did not keep us in the loop of what was going on. The work was fine but they would give us dates as to when they would be here next and would not show up. The work dragged on and on and we never quite knew when they were going to come back to continue with the job. They needed couple of other companies to do some work, like gutters and roofing, and they did not coordinate their schedules very well. The quality was good but the execution kind of dragged out. They were expensive; there were not a lot of companies who did the kind of work we were looking for.

To start off, I am an IT guy who also dabbles in personal construction. I helped build my two of my brother's first houses, my first house, and a second for the same brother. I am now a lot older and don't like going on roofs anymore (i.e. haven't built a house in over 20 years). But, I do know my way around construction processes. We were having a hard time locating any roofers to get quotes from but saw and heard Adam's adds everywhere. We decided to give them a shot. In hindsight, I should have talked to them last as they only give a great deal on the day the salesman shows up, otherwise you'll pay 15% more if you don't sign until up to 30 days later. Anyway, they are a family owned business that has been around for over 60 years. They are big, meaning they have an office staff, sales staff, and different "specialist" who excel at different types of construction. We made an appointment with our sales rep who showed up right on time. He is also one of the owner's nephews. He measured the roof and then came in to give us the "sales pitch". It was very good and well explained and they seemed to know exactly what needed to be done. But, it was kind of high pressure sales, but understandably so as they are a big company with many mouths to feed. They have a 10 year guarantee on their workmanship and the manufacturer's materials. We ended up signing on the dotted line, and that;s when stuff kicked off. They handled everything (i.e. building permit, materials, etc.), and our roof was scheduled to be put on about 3 weeks later. They called a couple of days ahead to ask to re-schedule for one day later due to rain, perfectly understandable, and showed up one day later, on time. The crew were seemingly masters at their craft and completed stripping off the old 2 layers of roof, and installing the new, architectural shingled roof within 8 hours. My back yard was even cleaner after they left, than before they arrived! The roof looks great based on the salesman's recommendation for colors that he thought would match best with our existing roof. We had also contracted to get the rear eave soffit vented, but right before they showed up, I asked if they could also do the front. Well, that info never got to the "soffit specialists" who showed up this morning to do the soffits, but they took it all in stride and were able to do it anyway as they had brought just enough extra materials. They also gave me a new quote for the extra soffit area and essentially cut the price in half for that section, since they were already here. Now that is excellent customer service. They completed both soffits (front and back) in about 3 hours. They did leave a little bit of sawdust on the front steps, but that was it. Everything else was immaculately clean. Overall, I give these guys an "A". Everyone I dealt with, from the office people, to the sales rep, to crews, were very cordial and professional. I will definitely be calling them when I need the rest of my roof replaced, siding or windows.

Adam Quenneville Roofing and Siding insisted I shouldn't repair my roof. They wanted $33,000 to put a new roof on my house. Eventually, I had it repaired for $50. I was like "huh" that was a slight difference. The reviews were quite positive and I was really surprised. Their quote was so high, so ridiculously high that I felt they were trying to fleece you. It was kind of unreal. I have another house that I replaced the roof on last year, it is a smaller house, but I had some semblance of an idea as to what it should cost. It is a nice house in a nice neighborhood. They were very prompt and quick to come out and provide me with an estimate. The person who came out spent 3-4 hours looking at my house and giving me the proposal. The person who came, I believe he was paid on commission, so he was kind of a sales person. He's paid on commission and doesn't do any of the roofing work himself. He goes around and tries to sell people on their services. He gets paid when he sells more jobs. I wasn't real happy with. I will never use them again and I will never ask for a quote again. It was inappropriate. The actual write up was just a piece of paper with some scribbled handwriting on it. The quote was $33,000 and change, but if you sign up today will knock it down to $32,000. It was already 4 pm. It was really gimmicky. I had 4 other people come and 2 of them said to me I didn't need a new roof, it only needed some repairs. It is not being very professional when you try to fleece someone.

It went exactly as planned. They showed up on time, did the work they promised. There was some wood that needed extra maintenance and some areas that needed ice and water barrier. They completed it thoroughly and to my satisfaction. I was very happy with the results.

They did a great job. The crew got to my home at 8:00 AM as agreed. The started coverring the house to avoid damage to the sidding. Withing 2 hours hey had removed my old roof. At 4:30 both roof where c ompleted. The crew did a good job explaining what was being done throughout the process. At the end they cleaned up and it was as is they were never there, except for my new roof.

Quenneville Roofing was somewhat more expensive than other quotes we received, but they had been highly recommended by several friends who used them, so we chose them to do the work. Work was done on time, in a professional manner. Dumpster arrived on time prior to start of job. Supervisor stayed long time to oversee the job. Workers were focused and energetic. We have a sizable roof, but the work was all done in one day. Clean up was satisfactory. Dumpster picked up promptly. After the work was completed, QR phoned a couple of times to confirm our satisfaction with their work.

The job was excellent! The clean up crew came in right away and took away all the debris. I have a pond in my back yard and the company was very careful to keep the poind clean and ensure that it was not contaminated. They even added a covering to make sure the pond was protected. Gret overall!

Roof Siding Windows

The work was done efficiently, the workers were very thorough and cleaned the property extremely well. There were countless options of color and designed for both shingles and siding. This is the second roof adam did for me. The first one was done in 1996, this roof was replaced because of hail damage. Adam worked well with my insurance agent. After the work was done a employee of Adams company came out to inspect the work. He had the workers come back and replace a seem in the siding that he didn't like. I never even noticed the small glitch. I would highly recommend them..

during last year's October snow storm, a very large tree in my back yard had a branch snap off and cause damage as well as a hole in my roof. I called Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding and actually spoke to Adam himself. To my amazement, he had 2 of his crew at my house THAT day to repair my roof. The 2 members of his team arrived at the time Adam specified and completed the job in about 4 hours. My wife and I are very satisfied with the work. Adam's team came back about a week later to replace the damaged gutter we had as well from this tree limb. Not only did they replace the damaged gutter but they added a gutter cover to protect it from leaves getting in as well at no additional cost. All and all, we are very satisfied with the quality of work, pricing, and timing. I would highly recommend Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding to my friends and family

Adam Quenneville Roofing did a roofing job for us at my Parent's house. We were pleasantly surprised that their pricing was reasonable. We had heard they were pricey in the past. They made suggestions to us that we would not have thought of, which we really appreciated. They were in and out in 1 day. We were very pleased that there were no nails or old shingles strewn around. Everything was picked up. The landscaping was also untouched and not damaged. Overall a very good experience.

It was about half and half; I don’t think I was fully satisfied. I wasn’t aware that they were going to hand off the work to another contractor. I was very surprised that another company came out and did the work. That company did a fantastic job but I wouldn’t attribute that to the effort that Adam Quenneville put in. I was not pleased because I was not informed that they were going to do that. The job was fantastic but it was not Adam’s crew. It was quite expensive and I was not pleased with the price. I have an average residential house. I shopped around and the other place I looked at had a different type of siding; it was like comparing apples and oranges. I couldn’t make a direct comparison and the other company wanted to charge more. It’s hard to grade the quality since it was really another company that did it. If I give them a rating, that’s for Adam and not the company he sub-contracted to. The sub-contractor would get an A. The salesman put on his best horse-and-pony show.

The experience with AQ was pleasant. A family run company who knows how to get jobs done quickly. I have many properties and this is the first time I've used AQ. The biggest difference is the time and responsiveness to getting the job done. When I buy a place I need the roof perfect and fast before I fix it to keep or sell again. The AQ team did both of these within 8 days of the initial phone call, and when they got there they ripped the slate roof, shakes, and made the house watertight with new plywood in ONE DAY!! THE ROOF WAS FINISHED THE NEXT DAY. All workers were quick but very safe with harness' and ropes, which qualifies them as OASHA certified (I believe it's that), which is what the VP of the company said on the day of the install. One of the most qualified companies in the country for such a potentially dangerous job. Highly recommended for investors like me who like to get work done quickly, which spells to much bigger profits, also recommend to homeowners for the same reason as well as being friendly, professional, and clean.
