Very nice gentleman appeared (name?) on Sept. 23 He instantly diagnosed the problem and ordered a part (control knob). Anxiously awaiting his return. Then I will be able to use my washing machine and you know how important that is!

No leak found but recommended appliance be cleaned and checked.

I called and left a callback with answering service - who told me I would receive a call from on call tech! Never received ANY call

I have been meaning to write a review on this company for quite some time. We hired them on 2 different occasions to include a repair on an outdoor faucet and shower as well as to repair a toilet seal. They were super responsive and professional. The work performed was top-notch. We will use them again!

Durfee would not look at job. Manager was to call back to discuss scope but never did. Was forced to look elsewhere.

Fixed the shut off valve right away. I asked Steve to replace the outdoor spigots (front and back yard). Done very efficiently. No mess, no fuss, no “lollygagging.” Everything explained. Cost was great. Durfee will be the first number I call in the future. Thank you Steve for the great work. Thank you Angie’s List for being such a great resource.

I was given a maximum price. At the end of work, Durfee billed me for the full amount by bill padding. In particular: shortly after arrival, they claimed to have "forgotten something at the shop," then disappeared for 45 minutes; they brought a young guy as a "helper" who did no plumbing and charged $30 per hour for his time; they left the premises for an hour to "find the (town) inspector; spent 40 minutes preparing the bill, which included charges for all of the above. Then they presented a bill that was 25% more than the stated maximum price and "generously" offered me a discount to maximum price. I estimate that they actually worked 3 hours but billed me for 8.

From start to finish it was a very satisfying experience. The sales office person, April, was very helpful in determining which unit would best fit our needs. The installers, Steve and Miguel, showed up precisely on time and got right to work, explaining everything. Due to its age, our summer house had some unforeseen issues with the pipes (water and gas) that required scheduling a second round of installation, for which we were given priority for the next workday. On the second day, Phil and Miguel showed up right on time and proceeded to make the changes to the piping to accommodate the new unit. Again, everything was explained. They also thoroughly cleaned up the unavoidable messes from going in and out of the house repeatedly. I was able to use their coupon posted on Angie's List, which I also appreciated. I highly recommend them.

First, I set an appointment up for a Thursday with a window of 10 am to 2 pm. At 230 I called and found out that the tech scheduled to come to the house had taken the day off. I never received a call and was told that they put the wrong contact number in the system. I think that a follow up call would be made instead of leaving a message on a phone. I lost a half of day at work for that. The appointment was rescheduled for a later date. The crew showed up and had to leave to get parts.... not sure why they wouldn't come with the parts needed for the job... I was told that they would stop by the plumbing supply house before coming to the job. The worker and his apprentice did a lousy job installing the pipe. First they drilled a hole through the floor into the basement and nearly cut a wire. The drill bit hit the cable tie holding the wire in place. The basement is wide open and the wire was clearly visible. It is obvious that neither took the time to look before drilling. Needless to say they drilled a second hole and ran the pipe. The wire that was almost hit goes to the battery backup for the fireplace. The battery unit was mounted on the floor joist. The installer thought it was a good idea to run the piping directly in front of the unit completely blocking it, rendering it useless until moved. My wife was home the entire time the workers were there and nothing was said about the box being in the way. I stopped home from work to check on the installation. I noticed the the issues and took pictures and sent the company an email. I was contacted shortly after and spoke with someone from the office. I expressed my disappointment with the work done. I was told that someone could be sent out to fix the problem. I declined because I was at work couldn't take time off and my wife was at an appointment. In the email I requested to speak with the owner, I never heard from him so I sent a follow up and requested a copy of the invoice. A few days later I received a call from the office manager. I again expressed my disappointment and concern over the poor work. I again asked to speak with the owner and was denied. She did however let me know that they failed to bill me for the permit and sent an additional invoice for $40. So my rating is "F for customer service and F for quality of work." Too add a little more insult to injury... I was moving the battery backup box today and I noticed that the blocking board mounted between the floor joist was loose and appeared damaged. Upon closer inspection it appears that the installer broke off the bottom section of the board to make room for the flexible pipe instead of drilling a hole for it. Another example of the unprofessional work done. I'd give them a lower rating if possible.

Good all around -- high quality work from friendly professionals. Called ahead to let us know arrival time, worked quickly but carefully, cleaned up, explained everything.

GREAT. Durfee Plumbing was responsive, competent, and (hardly ever use this word) delightful to work with. Their plumber was fantastic (another rare one). I will use them again & recommend Durfee Plumbing to friends, everyone. Our plumber replaced two old shut off valves in our 1920 house, one by cutting the pipe and soldering on a new one. He removed the spaghetti mess that the handyman created under the sink, and connected the supply line that came with the new faucet (a compression fitting) directly onto the almost new existing under sink shut off valves. He was tops. PS I insisted he replace, rather than repack, the upstairs toilet shut off valve. Good call. He found it was improperly installed with a loose ferule/feral that could have burst and caused incredible water damage. We lucked out.

Cleaning good; repair still pending.

Plumber explained everything that needed work and did the work properly.

I called their office several times for a refund and there has been no reply to my request. Their website clearly states "Free Estimates".

I was very dissatisfied with their performance. Their pricing was excessive and when I called them to come back out to fix the initial faulty work, they fixed it then billed me again for the same job. I would not recommend them to others

It was a disappointment that the toilet had a leak but it was one we had been given (a higher one for handicapped) so we decided to stay with the one we had. They were very gracious and had a good attitude. Joy, the woman in the office was very gracious and helpful as well.

I love that they come right out when needed. The staff is very professional and friendly and helpful, sending me text pictures of their work while I was not at home .

The owner (Phil) performed the work, and did a great job. He showed up on time, was very professional and friendly, and answered all of my questions. (Poor guy, I had quite a few!) I would use Durfee again in a heartbeat. P.S. The only reason for the "B" on responsiveness was that it took some time for the main office to get back to me, and confirm a day/time that worked. Otherwise, they were fantastic. Use them with great confidence!

Went fine, one pipe had a leak/drip. When called they came over that day and fixed the item.

They replaced a valve on my hot water heater. They were there when expected and honest.

They give excellent service. We were very pleased with the work.

It went beautiful. They came out right away. They did the job when they said they would. It worked perfect. They're A on everything. I would definitely use them in the future.
