Workman was knowledgeable about unplugging drains and did that effectively. However, there was a problem with the water temperature of the shower after he was done. My shower handle is missing a screw and the handle sometimes comes off. We just put it back on again. The workman had to use the shower handle at several points to test out the drain. After he was done I noticed that we could no longer get hot water out of the shower, only tepid or cold, and I asked him what changes he made to the faucet. He denied changing anything. He said he wasn't a plumber. I felt he was implying I should call a plumber to solve my problem, that I didn't have before. Later I contacted the faucet manufacturer and after at least a month finally got them to e-mail me a PDF of the faucet installation instructions (after mailing me a bunch of, thankfully free, parts I didn't need). The instructions indicated that there was a red plastic ring that could be set by pulling it out, rotating, and pushing in again. It was some kind of "limiter" intended to allow the homeowner to set the maximun water temperature, to avoid accidental burns. My Rapid Rooter workman had (accidentally or intentionally?) turned this ring and reset out shower temperature to a maximum temperature of luke warm. In 30 seconds I was able to re set this plastic ring myself. I would in fact use this company again because the workman did what he came to do at a very reasonable price; however, I would watch him closely the entire time he was here. Even though I am an older woman I am pretty handy around the house. For someone less handy and better financed than myself, maybe not a good choice. In fairness, I want to emphasize that I never contacted this company afterward to complain and thus they haven't had a chance to tell their side of the story or to make it up to me.
Description of Work: unplugged the bathtub drain. He first opened a pipe in the basement thinking hair needed to be snaked out; eventually a plate on athe bath tub had to be unscrewed, where a baby washcloth was found in a holding area just beneath the tub drain.

Description of Work: We moved into this house just a few weeks ago and experienced our washing machine drain cycle causing a back-up into our bathrooom. We called a plumber who immediately said that he'd contact Rapid Rooter for us. Within minutes, RR called and subsequently showed up 30 minutes later. RR snaked our main drain line out to our septic system. This was the best $270 we ever spent!

Contacted Mark DeSimone at 6:30 AM (!) with request to snake and unclog bathroom drains. He scheduled the service that same day between 12-1pm and the service tech showed up within that time frame. Billy the service tech was very polite and worked diligently (a good half-hour!) to unclog the drains. They now run great. Cost worked out to $105 for the first drain and half price for the second. The drains are running the best they ever have since we bought the house (3-1/2 years ago) and after repeated attempts with liquid drain cleaners. The tech left the bathroom about as clean as he found it. (Rapid Rooter had also taken care of unclogging our main waste line about a 1-1/2 years ago and provided the same quick followup, effort and job site clean up as this latest effort. Billy also did that work and the total charge was about $147.) I would recommend no other for this type of work.

ARRIVED ON TIME, SPENT ADDITIONAL TIME AFTER ROOTS WERE CLEARED TO FORCE BUILT-UP SEDIMENT OUT OF THE DRAIN UNTIL THE DRAIN RAN COMPLETELY CLEAR. DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE CLOG WAS FARTHER INTO THE PIPE THAN WE HAD ANTICIPATED, AND EXTRA TIME INVOLVED IN COMPLETELY CLEARING THE DRAIN, MARK DESIMONE CHARGED ONLY THE INITIAL ESTIMATED COST OF $150. HE ALSO PROVIDED US WITH SEVERAL SUGGESTIONS TO ASSIST US IN AVOIDING FUTURE PROBLEMS. THE PRICE WAS QUITE REASONABLE, ONLY A LITTLE MORE THAN ANOTHER COMPANY CHARGED TO JUST GIVE US AN ESTIMATE! HE WAS THE ONLY OF 3 DRAIN SPECIALISTS TO ARRIVE WITH THE CORRECT EQUIPMENT TO COMPLETE THE JOB. I WILL DEFINITELY USE RAPID ROOTER FOR OUR FUTURE DRAIN MAINTENANCE AND PROBLEMS.
