Small Haul

I used Small Haul to move from Boston to NYC and it was a really positive experience. Two movers came with a small van and were professionally and quickly able to fit more than I ever thought they could with space left in the van. They arrived hours before I did, but my roommate was able to let them in and I found all my things carefully placed in my new apartment. I was also able to pay online, so the transaction was seamless.

When trying to move and carry a beast of a boxed TV, Small Haul came to the rescue! Within 24 hours, the TV was picked up by Small Haul, made a 20 mile journey, and was carried safely up 2 flights of stairs. For those of you out there in Eastern MA who have an item that is just too cumbersome to move on your own, Small Haul is your answer! Of course they also move items less challenging than that huge TV, so they have easily been placed top on our list for our future moving needs.

The Small Haul team arrived on time, efficiently and carefully packed the items into a truck, and delivered them promptly to the destination. They were polite, helpful, and quick.

The team was punctual, maybe even a little early.. They were fast and efficient and had a strategy to pack all of our awkwardly shaped items. All items were being stored in our basement. A very large armoire was the most challenging. It arrive safely to the basement with no damage to the guys my furniture or the stairs! There were also three air-conditioners which I was giving to an older Cape neighbor and the crew kindly drop them off at that house and placed them in the appropriate rooms. I would absolutely hire them again. Despite my not giving a lot of lead time and it being close to memorial day weekend they were able to fit me into a time schedule that worked for me.

Matt was able to do the work on the same day that I sent an inquiry email. He and his helper were very careful not to scratch or ding anything. I will definitely call them again!

These guys were excellent. They moved a very heavy old furniture set from the second floor of my home down a narrow staircase with no problem. They were prompt, very polite and very careful with the furniture. It was delivered without a problem. I would highly recommend them.

He went out of his way to make sure everything went as smooth as silk.Even though we were dealing with a mountain of snow, he made sure the chair was safely bought up to the second floor and placed just right.The estimate was very fair and the final cost was even $10 less.Great experience and will use again.

The service went great. They were very responsive. Two people came out and completed the job in about 2 hours. They were very accommodating and bale to work in tight spaces. They even did things I had not initially asked them to do. They came out the same day I called for service.

I ended up using a company named Small Haul. They were very good, very professional and reasonable priced. They were very good to work with. The price depends on how much you want moved. He's picking up bathroom fixtures and stuff like that. Really heavy stuff. The kind of stuff that you couldn't throw in your car. He kept in touch with me all the time and he's very good. I will definitely use them again.

Matt is really just the best. I had used his service about five years ago to move a sectional sofa that we'd purchased via Craigslist to our new home. That was a two-man job using his trailer. He was friendly and excellent with followup on every part of the plan. This latest service was very simple and small and I wish I had called him sooner, but last minute I needed to get some bookcases out of an apartment before the end of the month, as a major snowstorm was about to hit Boston! He was available immediately and took care of everything with his pickup truck. We were finished in an hour. His helpfulness has not abated over the years, I see!

My husband and I were more than impressed. Matt responded to my request almost immediately and based on my description of the job, provided me with an estimated amount of time and price to do the job. Matt and his helper arrived a few minutes early the day of the job. They were very friendly and performed the job like true professionals. The job was done quickly and carefully - they even accommodated some last minute request to move items. The job was completed within the expected timeframe and for the price that was previously quoted. I was very happy! I highly recommend them and will use them again if needed..

Great. I spent alot of time phoning many movers who say they do small jobs, but turns out they price the same for any size (which makes it ridiculously expensive for 1 hour or less of time). One of the big movers was kind enough to refer me to Matt. I used Mini Moves the month prior and wasn't thrilled, so tried Small Haul. Matt and his buddy were great. Very professional, strong, professional movers. Not like a couple of college guys looking for spare money. And, Matt was very respectful about pricing - he didn't make me feel cheap when I'd ask how long to move x (and, thus, how much $). And he was very clear about all charges up front, so no surprises. And, he was careful about my newly installed wood floors (knew to use plywood on a blanket to slide in the frig, for example). I would definitely trust him with valuables; I think he'd be wonderful for a senior move FWIW (because he would move very personal items respectfully, e.g.).

Matt arrived early (don't see that often)! Went to work moving huge, heavy pieces from one room to another. Finished a job that would have taken me hours in 30 min. Paid by check. Done! Better than having your buddies come over and you buy em a case of beer

Matt and his assistant were very professional, friendly, and efficient. Matt fit me in on the spur of the moment, and I really appreciate his flexibility. They moved a very heave TV cabinet from my garage to my family room. I highly recommend their services, which seem perfect for room/house rearranging, and small moves. I will definitely use then in the future.

Perfect for a small move, just need an over-sized couch to move out of our condo and into our storage unit a few miles down the street. Would use again, and would highly recommend.

Matt had a two man team to move the armoire and brought the appropriate equipment; a dolly with rubber wheels and furniture blankets. The armoire is extremely heavy and Small Haul did a very good job being careful with this piece of furniture. They moved it from the entry hall to the living room and positioned it perfectly between two windows. They were in and out in about 10 minutes. We were very happy with the work they did and would definitely use Small Haul again.

This is the second time I've used Matt and his associate. They are thorough, punctual, and professional. They did a great job and took a huge load off my mind. Highly recommended when you don't need a huge truck or team to get from A to B.

What can I say? Matt and Small Haul are a wonderful company. He was in touch with me about an estimate and scheduling the move itself which was painless. He and his colleague were on time (a few minutes early in fact), polite, careful (no damage to any of my things), transported quickly and unloaded without incident. Matt even adjusted my initial estimate down because the job didn't take as long as he originally expected. In the end, it cost about the same as if I rented my own truck and convinced a friend to help me out only this way, I didn't have to go get the vehicle and no one ended up with back pain. If I ever need a few things moved again, I will definitely be on the phone to Small Haul. This type of service is so great if you only have a few things to move. It's like having a friend with a pickup truck.

Matt made the whole process very easy. We talked by phone several times in advance of the move, and based on our estimate of how much there was to move, he made recommendations of whether he would need a rented U-Haul instead of the pick-up truck he usually relies on. Matt did not come move me personally, but his crew was extremely professional. There were 2 movers and they worked expediently and carefully. I was a bit surprised by the total amount charged, but when I called Matt to follow up, he was extremely gracious, apologized if I had misunderstood the estimate, and offered to waive certain fees. (I think the cost was higher than I had expected because of the extra time required to pick up the U-Haul and the fact that it was originating from Newton.) All in all, they were a great crew and appropriately sized for this job. The cost probably wasn't significantly higher than if we had to arrange the UHaul ourselves without movers, and it saved us the trouble of dealing with the UHaul rental and the labor involved with moving our stuff ourselves.

Matt and Dan did a great job moving a 60and quot; TV with console, a chair and several other assorted items that I purchased on CraigsList. They also made a special stop so I could pick up a few boxes from storage. Communications were very good, the rates are fair and the guys were efficient and professional. I will certainly use them again!

Everything went like clockwork. The owner usually does the work himself with the help of one or two staff members. However, he had recently been injured in a motor vehicle accident, so was unable to move any of the items himself. The 2 men who did the actual moving were very professional, conscientious, pleasant, and hard-working. They arrived on time and completed the work very efficiently. I highly recommend this company! Not only were they terrific to work with and highly qualified, but their price was incredibly reasonable. The larger companies' estimates were 3 times higher than Small Hauls!
