PAVIDIS PLUMBING & HEATING

Refused to come back and fix problem, they did not finish. Does not know how to handle people.

They are a very good company. They came to my home and gave us an estimate. They were professional, clean and courteous. We have had plumbing done by them before and they did a good job with that too.

We had a larger plumbing problem which was scheduled to be fixed the next day, but the night before the access port to the sewer line (which was backed up) began leaking sewage into the basement. I called Pavidis and Paul was very helpful and sent out his next available guy - who arrived in 30 minutes! The cap proved to be a real pain to tighten and eventually required sealant to do the job. At one point the plumber needed advice and called Paul directly who provided the answer.

From the first day, we complained about the system not working properly. Finally when it died completely, we had a different company come out and look at it. It turns out the circulator pump was installed on the wrong side of the system. The wrong size relief valve was installed, and the air intake is less than two feet from the gas meter, which creates the potential for an explosion. In spite of letters from the boiler mfg and installation diagrams, Pavidis says their installation was ok. In fact, the staff of Pavidis bad mouthed me to co workers because I complained that my burner was not working properly. I believe they are truly a third rate company with no regard to customer satisfaction. This matter is currently in the hands of a mediator, but one would be crazy to do business with this company.

Two men showed up at the appointed time. One stood around and watched the other. After 88 minutes, they told me I was "all set". I went to investigate while they called in the charges. They managed to fix one toilet, the one leaking into my downstairs neighbor's unit. As for the second toilet, they couldn't fix it, but they did manage to get it leaking (which I only figured out later). When confronted with this, the guy said "Yeah, you need a new toilet." I was shocked when they told me the bill was 178 (for 88 minutes of work, keep in mind), but even more shocked when my credit card was charged for $100 more. I wrote a letter to complain, and they knocked off $40. That's fine. I never want to see or hear from them again.
