drain pipe
+ -1 moreKelly's crew worked efficiently and skillfully to repair my main drain, which was broken and almost completely blocked, and thus unusable. They first snaked it out (this took some time) to be able to locate the break properly, then used detector equipment to localize the pipe in the yard, dug to access it, then replaced the pipe and refilled the area. The section they needed to access was under a brick path, which they carefully took up and replaced afterwards. I was amazed that they managed to leave my front yard and path looking almost exactly the same as before despite having dug a large hole and moved a lot of earth. They were done by mid-afternoon having started at 8 am. Other plumbers had told me that if I wanted major drain work like this done, the best company in the Somerville area was PT Kelly, and based on my experience they were right. PT Kelly also does a lot of work for the city so was able to co-ordinate with them without any trouble. I had a great experience.
Description of Work: Located a breakage in the main house drain leading to the sewer, excavated the front yard in the necessary area, replaced the broken clay pipe with a new plastic section, refilled the area and replaced the removed landscaping (a brick path). This was all done in co-ordination with the city.

+ 0 moreTHE PRINCIPAL WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE TOOK CARE OF MAKING SURE THAT THERE WAS SIGNAGE IN ADVANCE TO MAKE SURE THE STREET WAS CLEAR FOR HIS ''HEAVY EQUIPMENT''. THE CREW WAS THERE AT THE TIME STATED AND FINISHED THE JOB AS STATED IN ONE DAY. IT WAS QUICK & PAINLESS - ABSOLUTELY NO HASSLES. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT.
Description of Work: THE MAIN WATER LINE TO THE HOUSE WAS REPLACED. IT REQUIRED ACCESS TO THE BASEMENT, AND DIGGING UP THE ASPHALT FLOOR IN FRONT THE STEPS TO THE HOUSE. NEW COPPER LINE WAS INSTALLED & FRESH ASPHALT GRADED TO MY SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SMALL WALK AREA IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE AMAZINGLY PROMPT AND RESPONSIVE. THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. STEVE KELLY IS THE CURRENT OWNER OF THE COMPANY, I BELIEVE. HE WAS THERE ON-SITE, PROFESSIONAL, HELPFUL, AND COURTEOUS AT ALL TIMES. IT WAS THE BEST CONTRACTING EXPERIENCE THAT I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME.
Description of Work: REPLACED THE WATER INTAKE LINE TO THE CITY MAIN. REPLACED IT WITH COPPER LINE.
