Mirabella plumbing and heating

Description of Work: He was a pleasant man who responded to a referral call placed by an employee of a well known and reputable drain company. We had called the drain company thinking it was a sewer line issue. The referring individual is a very good friend of the family. This plumber gave me a price over the phone which I thought was rather pricey however, I had not dealt with a plumber in some time, didn't know all that was involved, he knew the referring individual and knew it was for my elderly parents who are in their 80s. I felt I could trust him. I was wrong. He came with another worker to remove existing pipe and replace approximately 5-6 feet of PVC water pipe. He finished the transaction within a short period of time and my parents paid him. Thereafter our referring friend inquired how everything went and how much he charged my parents. He thought it was pricey, understood what was involved in replacing that pipe and after further research found out that the job should have cost approximately $400-$450. That was what I was initially thinking the job should have cost. This plumber was also asked to look under the kitchen sink for possible replacement of pipes and at the toilet for any leakage. He said every thing was okay there. What would the price had been if he had performed any other work? I shutter to think about it. He did no other work. Unfortunate price decision on his part. He lost a customer and a future customer in us.
