LODOBE CUSTOM BUILDING

This may have been our worst contractor experience ever. Based on positive references, Lodobe was hired to do about 14 days of exterior carpentry on our house for about $6,000. The job actually took nearly 4 months and cost us around $9,000. Most of the delay was due to Glen "Vito" Lodovico's apparent inability to show up for work or, when he did, to stay more than a few hours. This stop-and-start approach meant that he had to set up and break down his equipment more often, a cost that he tried to pass on to us, along with per hour charges for things like sweeping the driveway. In general, he seemed to have the attitude that his inefficiencies should be paid for by others. The biggest disappointment, however, was the poor quality of the work. Much of the carpentry was sloppily done and after just a few months, at least one of the boards he replaced is already cracked. In summary, hiring Lodobe/Glen Lodovico was a huge waste of time and money.

He was very professional. He was very good at plotting out and planning the job. He had everything in writing and gave me updates regularly. He himself was onsite and working almost every day. They were very respectful of the fact that they were working in my living space.
