Jimmy was recommended to us by the seller's agent when we recently bought a condo. The price he gave us seemed good for the quality of work -- we didn't get another estimate, although we did do some research that seemed to indicate his estimate was below average. We're very pleased with the results - he and his crew finished quickly, produced beautiful floors and barely scuffed the baseboards. The only reason I'm not giving him an A rating is his professionalism. He was never late to an appointment -- in fact he was much too early for two of his visits. He repeatedly changed schedule on us by moving appointments earlier, asked for cash instead of a check multiple times and in the middle of his work requested that we pay more in advance so that he could pay his crew. We also had some communication difficulties -- English is not his first language and he frequently acted as if he understood something I had said when in fact he didn't. He never communicated to me his power requirements in advance (they needed a 220 power supply for one sander, necessitating some last-minute fumbling and a conflict with a tenant in the building). Overall these professional quirks didn't cause us much trouble -- I could adapt to his schedule and our timeframe for completing the work was somewhat flexible. I would use him again, but if I had an inflexible timeframe or tenants to coordinate with I would consider other contractors.
