I have used them several times now and they are outstanding. Very professional, friendly, and very well trained. Excellent in what they do. I would highly recommend them and I would hire them again.

They are fantastic! I can't say enough good things about them. They delivered boxes ahead of time. They did some final packing for us. Their subsidiary company Allston Piano Movers moved my 1923 Steinway grand. Every person we dealt with from getting the estimate all the way through to the follow-up after the move and all of the moving crew were professional and helpful. They were here to serve. I highly recommend Gentle Giant and will use them for our next move without question.

It was perfect. We have used Gentle Giant in the past so we were expecting top notch service and we got it. Everything from the proposal to the followup was professional and on time. The price was reasonable, for the quality of service. We got another quote from a highly-rated Angie's List company that was pretty much the same, but we went with GG since we had used them before.

It went well. Very friendly and professional. When our moving plans changed at the last minute, they were able to get a crew together a day later.

Gentle Giant has been helping us movesince the 1970's. They have always been terrific.

FANTASTIC. All our items arrived safely - NO damage at all. It was a tough job -- we had an attic full of stuff and TONS of boxes of books and lots of furniture. The crew was friendly, cheerful, efficient, and competent. The move took all day, and the crew remained cheerful and moving throughout. It was definitely a higher priced quote than some other movers, but we've used Gentle Giant before and had others recommend them, but think it was well worth it because everything arrived safely. We're quite happy with our choice!

I've used Gentle Giant once before when I moved into my new home. My son recently moved to a new place, and Gentle Giant was the top choice as I was very satisfied with my prior experience. They had also been recommended by another tenant when I was ready to move. This experience was no different than mine eight years ago, top notch from beginning to end. Booking went smoothly. I called a couple days before the move to go over any last minute things they may need to know, and also to make one change to the items being moved. There was one item (a couch) that was difficult to get into the new living room as the hallway of the apartment they were moving the furniture into was narrow, but these two guys were amazing and moved all the furniture without a scratch anywhere in the apartment! My son was amazed at how fast and accurate they were. The movers were very polite and professional. Any future moves will be done by Gentle Giant. I wouldn't use anyone else!

I had used Gentle Giant to move me into my new home. They were fantastic, so, of course, I wouldn't have called anyone else when my son needed the same services. Gentle Giant delivered once more. The move was quick and smooth, the movers very polite and professional throughout. My son was amazed at how accurate they were moving difficult objects through small spaces. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone needing a quality moving company. They may not be the cheapest, but quality counts and they truly do deliver!

Extremely well. By far the best moving company I've ever used. To top it off, I forgot to confirm the appointment and I called the day before and they were still able to keep the day we wanted (thanks Theresa!). On the actual moving team, Andrew and his team were fabulous and moved quickly and efficiently. The entire move was completed ahead of schedule which saves money. Again, I cannot recommend this company more.

Really well. Little to no furniture was damaged. Crew was respectful and a pleasure.

They are a pretty good, solid, local moving company. They are professional movers and they also have movers who are specially trained in moving pianos. So, when I have that need they just send those movers including moving my furniture and piano. They don’t have a price for just the piano only. The total price including tips and stuff it’s about $1,400. They have an online website, that’s where I found the phone number and stuff. I just called them and they are very easy to make appointments. They have super good custom service. What stands out to be is their customer service and all their movers are very professional. The way they do things are professional, like they wrap every piece. They wrap them, mark them and transport them appropriately. They’re just very good. They’re substantially pricey, but with the service I think it was worth it. I don’t move every day, so I don’t have comparison. They’re definitely not a cheap one, but I think their price is reasonable. So I don't know how to rate them, compared to other people.

Very punctual and careful moving furniture. Completely satisfied.

I do not worry about anything when Gentle Giant is on the job. I've used Gentle Giant for several moves and will only use then for anything heavy that has to get carried in/out of my home (radiators, furniture). They are the best! They are pricier than other movers but totally worth it. During my most recent move, they quickly realized that a bed and dresser would not fit up the stairs. Within 1 hour they had called in a crane (they have their own crane) and lifted the bed and dresser through a second story window. They always come in at the low end of hours estimated. They've always sent really nice people. They've always gotten the job done right.

We could not have asked for a better experience with a moving company. There is nothing that I would change about it, and I don't think there is anything they can improve on. I am not easy to impress but Gentle Giant is truly impressive.

Very well. They packed our kitchen and good china and nothing was damaged in the move. We had a very large piece that just barely made it into the house. The movers worked very carefully to get it in. They also were very willing to try furniture and rugs in different locations in a room to get it just right. Kudos to the gentle giants who helped us!

Arrived ontime and worked quickly to completion.

They were excellent! Everything about working with the company and the crew was easy and well managed. They were prompt in their responses to my call and emails, scheduling was a breeze, and the moving team was helpful and friendly. We weren't sure if the piano would fit up the stairs and the team came out to measure every detail to make sure all corners and angles were covered. It was a hot, humid day when the moving took place and the team was professional, in good spirits, and had changed their shirts multiple times to be presentable.

Now I know why everyone I asked said use only Gentle Giant. From the very first phone call through to the final move everyone went out of their way to be helpful and supportive. Carmen asked me how everything was going and picked up in my voice the stress when I told her the contractors hadn't finished. She offered to give me a later date. I never knew a moving company to be so flexible. Then when she called again a few days before the new date and heard that the house was still not quite ready she offered again to push the date off. I declined only because I wanted to be in the house already. She was so sweet and empathetic. When the crew arrived, Tim, Andrew and Reid they were upbeat, totally efficient, and worked incredibly well as a team. They worked fast but never made me feel rushed. They were careful with the larger items, making sure they cleared walls and ceilings. They put padding down on the floor when needed to ensure nothing got scratched. I had the easiest and best moving experience, and that says a lot for what could be a stressful day.

It was a nightmarish experience. The move was very difficult as I was in the middle of downsizing from a three bedroom and needed a lot of help with packing and moving which I was willing to pay for but did not receive. It was a long and arduous move involving long hauls on an small elevator on the fourth floor.. One overzealous, manic mover ran through my brand newly built apartment and destroyed a drawer and cabinet unit in the kitchen island. The drawer and cabinet door were ripped off the unit. The company did try to rectify the situation after several phone calls and long emails to the owner. I was reimbursed for damages and they sent someone several weeks later to fix the kitchen island damage. The move had to be completed the next day by renting a UHAUL van and hiring extra help to finish the job as the company left me hanging. The movers left at the end of the day and did not return to pick up the remaining items after their supervisor said they would be back to complete the job. What an experience!
