Description of Work: I've used Dell Appliance Service for the past 15 years. All I have to do is pick up the phone, and someone is out to fix my balky dishwasher, disposal, or refrigerator the same or the next day.

Dell Appliance Service has been great to come and repair any and all of my appliances. My refrigerator is 30 years old and they have been able to keep it running. I think the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. They are never rude. They also come when they say they will.
Description of Work: I used this company to repair my old refrigerator when it kept running all the time. They repaired or replaced a part but I'm not sure what it was.

They responded the same day and came out the same day also. They diagnosed the problem, but couldn't repair it asked me to call to make sure the warranty didn't cover the repair.

There were no problems. They came out as scheduled and the repair work was done successfully.
Description of Work: I was getting no heat from my dryer. I called Dell and they diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse which they replaced.

My phone call was answered by a live person, who quickly scheduled a service call. The technician came early and was very efficient and pleasant. The problem was solved very easily. I appreciated the responsiveness of this company and the cost seemed in line.
Description of Work: I had water dripping on the floor in front of the refrigerator. Larry came the next day,(for my convenience), and unclogged the drain from the automatic defrost. He returned the following day to replace the very worn refrigerator gasket.

Dell sent a repairman (Giorgio) over the same day we called. He looked at the machine, asked me lots of questions, fiddled for a bit, and gave me an appraisal of the situation (he fixed the restriction in the water hose, but the water pump and bearings could die at any time). He also said that if it died within 30 days, we could call them. Under their policy, there's no service charge if you have a problem within 30 days. He said that he didn't think it was worth fixing if it died after 30 days (poor machine is 9 years old and he thought it was on its way out). I appreciated his honest assessment.
Description of Work: Our washing machine died in the middle of a cycle. The service man came promptly, found a restriction in the water hose, fixed it immediately, and went on his way. Whole process took 30 min.

I was very pleased with this man. He showed me how to start the pilot manually and safely until the part came in. This was very important to me because it was around the holidays and I needed to cook for guests. I had called several people and this company was the only one that could find a part to fix my oven. He also took the time to explain things to me. He did not have to do that. It took him 2 visits to finish fixing the oven.
Description of Work: I have an older model Crown American oven. They replaced the pilot and the starter for the right side burner on the oven.

We have used them on several other jobs and they always do a great job. The worker was friendly and answered all of our questions. He was in and out and completed the work very well. I would recommend them to anyone.

I spoke with Shawn to make the appointment. He was very nice and accommodating with my schedule. They were able to come within a couple days. The scheduled time was for 12 noon - 2 pm. I got a call at 1:20 saying someone would be there within 20 minutes and they were. Steve, the repairman, was great. It took him no time to diagnose the problem (happened to be a common problem) and repair it with a new part he had in his truck. The whole thing took less than an hour. He also was able to give me tips on working the self cleaner. They charge a $75 service/travel fee for everyone which elevated the final price but that seems to be fairly common. I would use this company again - they have great customer service and very nice, knowledgeable people working for them.

The same guy came the first 2 times. When removing the inner door panel on the microwave to access the handle, he had trouble and cracked the plastic. When he installed the handle, it broke. We weren't impressed by his competence. Another handle had to be ordered and a third visit (by a different repairman) was required to install it. Also, during the first visit, the repairman asked for a deposit on the parts to be ordered in addition to the charge for the visit. Then during the later visit when the parts were installed, that "deposit" had suddenly morphed into an additional labor payment and they asked for full cost of parts.
Description of Work: We found several problems in the kitchen of our new house! They replaced the handle on an over-range microwave and the gasket on our dishwasher, and looked at the nonfunctional ice dispenser on our refrigerator. Their serviceman made one visit to diagnose the problems and two visits to install the parts. We decided not to have the ice dispenser fixed as the entire mechanism would need to be replaced and easier access to ice wasn't worth that to us.

Because service was delayed, we found a way to order the part on line and my husband successfully installed it. The part cost us $150 + shipping, so glad we saved on the labor. Since I have no basis for knowing how well they would have performed, I can't say I wouldn't use them again.
Description of Work: Built-in microwave display was not functioning properly. Scheduled to come between 2 and 4pm, called to reschedule for next day. I ended up cancelling.

Dell's technician diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and returned in two days to complete the job. The technician was professional, showed up on time and worked quickly. The scheduler on the phone was also good to work with - even helped me out when I knew I was going to be late for my appointment. I am not sure how competitive the price was but am guessing it was about average for this type of work.

We have used Dell for many years and have never found them wanting. They are always prompt, they get the job done, and their charges are reasonable. In this instance, we had not figured out how to work a dryer that had been installed during a period when renters were occupying our house. The workman showed us what needed to be done, took a broken dial back to the shop, and returned with a new one. Some of the parts in the dishwasher had also been broken or were missing, and the workman replaced it from spare parts on the truck. There was no charge for this very accommodating service. The dryer was still under warranty, but even so, this is service not usually found and typical of Dell.
Description of Work: House call for non-functioning dryer and other appliance problems.

Unfortunately, the price was very high for the amount of time spent on the job. We were initially quoted 24 dollars for the call. 100 dollars for 5 minutes of labor seems rather high. Perhaps I should I become a plumber.
Description of Work: They came to fix the dryer which had broken down, and they recommended that we should buy a new one since it would be less expensive. SO while they were here, we had them look quickly at our washer to see why there was a small leak. Within 5 minutes, he solved the issue. The hoses at the back of the washer were not tight enough. Seemed like an easy fix and glad they solved it quickly.

REPAIRMAN EVALUATED OUR WASHING MACHINE AFTER IT HAD STOPPED WORKING WITH SOME FANFARE - SMOKE, NOISE, ETC. TRYING TO SAVE OLD STOVE FOR 1 MORE YEAR. REPAIR MAN NOT ONLY DID PROMPT DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR, BUT EXPLAINED HOW TO USE THE STOVE TO PREVENT RENEWED DAMAGE TO HINGES AND PILOT.
