Dell Appliance Service

We had them out to check our dishwasher. The worker was very informative and knowledgable. They offered us a credit if we had him out within the next 30 days to complete the repair, which we took advantage of. He ended up replacing the motor and it is now working beautifully!

The person who came from the company was polite and worked quickly. He assessed both machines and I felt he gave a very honest assessment of whether I should repair or not and explained why. He cleaned and did maintenance on the machine worth saving. Not only did he clean the machine, he cleaned up all around the back of it which is difficult to get to before he returned it to its original position. I was so impressed, I called him back to do maintenance on a dryer in the second floor apartment.

Very knowledgeable telephone order person quickly quoted specs and (competitive) prices for apartment-size stove and fridge, took a credit card order, and accurately predicted delivery date (took a week because special order). Delivery was only half an hour late. Movers were very skillful at getting both appliances into a 3rd-floor unit through two tight staircases, without damage to the premises. They also cleaned up, even cut up their huge cardboard boxes to comply with the Cambridge garbage rules. And they took the old appliances away.

I thought it went fine over all. I was able to schedule something fairly quickly, and they arrived only slightly late. The cost estimate was a little low but in the ball park.

Very responsive, they had someone out to see what work had to be done within a couple of hours from when I called. The next day the same repair man came back with the correct parts, and worked quickly to make the repair.

We have used Dell's on numerous ocassions to repair our dishwasher, washer and dryer. Our washer and dryer are over 20 years old and they have kept them going for us. The repairmen have always been very courteous, professional, prompt and quick. We never think of calling anyone else.

Dell Appliance arrived, assesed the dryer, inspected it for other potential problems and then replaced faulty thermostats on the unit. Very professional and easy to work with.

They were nice and efficient and the technician seemed to know what he was doing. They came the day after my call. Ken was very good at explaining things to me and discussing/ recommending brands of washers to consider in the future. He also explained how to properly maintain and clear out my washer drain.

I called and got an appointment promptly. The service person arrived right on time and was professional and courteous. He gave me the bad news that the machine was beyond repair and I asked him for info on a replacement. He was very helpful and informed about a replacement machine after asking me about my laundry needs. The fee for the service call was very reasonable. An excellent experience and I would not hesitate to call them again for their services.

Called on Monday regarding a broken washing machine, and they had a repair person(Ken)out at 9:30 the next morning. He made a quick diagnosis, having seen the same problem in the past, and had the machine fixed in short order with a great helpful attitude. He also offered advice on how long we could expect the machine to last, and what repairs we could expect to have to make along the way. Top-notch service all the way along.

My fridge was making a strange noise every once in a while, but was still keeping things cold. I called Dell's to make an appointment to have it looked at. The operator was very nice and accommodating about when the repairman could come out. The repairman arrived on time and was very professional. He explained the possible problems and what could be done about them once the fridge stopped keeping things cold. I was very satisfied with the service provided by Dells.

They are excellent. They are easy to schedule an appointment with. They show up on time. They know what they are doing. They keep me informed of what is going on. If they have to order something, they call and let me know when it comes in and they schedule an appointment. They are extremely reliable.

They are trustful. They get back to me very quickly, and they also show up very quickly. They know what they are doing, so they are able to tell me if they think that the appliance is obsolete or if it is worth repairing. They know machines, and they know how they are made.

Overall was a very good experience. They showed up when they said they would, they did the work that needed to be done, they were fair with their pricing and they left the place as it was before they came. Overall...very satisfied!

It was a very positive experience. He was able to complete the repair in less than an hour and had the part in his van. It was a coil, which he quickly replaced.

I called first thing Monday morning, and Dell's sent a technician that same afternoon. The technician arrived on time, and was courteous and professional. He took one look at the refrigerator/freezer and said that the problem was the fan wasn't operating properly. He said that the problem would be one of 2 things: 1) a fan blade that had fallen off (extremely easy to fix, he could do it right away), or 2) a damaged fan blade, which he'd have to order a part for. Happily, it turned out to be choice 1), and the technician fixed it in about 15 minutes flat. It was well worth the $120 to have a working refrigerator/freezer again so quickly in July! The technician warned me that it might happen again, and he even explained it to me well enough that my husband and I were able to fix it ourselves when it did happen again recently (in November of that same year).

I was impressed that Dell offered same-day-service, but was disappointed when no one showed up in the time frame promised and they had to dispatch someone else at the end of the day. That said, the guy who looked over our machine offered solid advice about what was wrong, how it would be more cost-effective to replace it, and was specific in recommending quality brands (without even mentioning the fact that Dell sells appliances).

Our washing machine started leaking. I called them in the morning and they gave me a 11:00 am-1:00 pm window for that afternoon. They came closer to 11:00 am and unfortunately diagnosed a dead machine. (I had kind of suspected it given the noises the thing had been making.) They had a new machine that they could, and did deliver that afternoon. I wish there had been a little more choice about the specific machine but I couldn't have asked for better or more prompt service.

Steve came within a few hours, on time, and got dishwasher running in no time. Usefully, he warned if it seized again I would need new motor (which costs almost as much as a new DW but may be worth it in this case, because existing opening in cabinets is smaller than most new models). Also he noticed the frig had leaks around doors, so he relevelled the doors and adjusted the gasket. Pleasant, seemed very competent, explained everything, and didn't make a mess. Very satisfactory experience.

They were good about calling back and setting up an appointment to review the job. They gave me an estimate that was on target with the price I paid. The problem was that the home was a rental unit and the tenant had to stay home and take time off of work to wait for them and they were late. The man also seemed to be in a rush. My tenant asked if he should do a test run when the man was finished, but the man said no and that it was all set. It turned out that it didn't work and it was improperly replaced. When I called them back to tell them, they were very apologetic and fixed it for free the next day. I would use them again because they fixed their mistake.

We initially called a different repair service, but the guy they sent was a real prima donna and left without doing any work. But fortunately did not bill us for the time. We were so dissatisfied with him that we called Dell instead. They scheduled an appointment promptly, the serviceman arrived a few minutes late (traffic) but we were notified beforehand about the delay, which is all we ask. He was knowledgeable, efficient, very professional, and very neat. We would definitely hire this company again, and are about to refer them to a non-Angie's List friend who also has a dishwasher problem.

I couldn't get an appt. with Sears (who made my dryer) for more than a week, and I was leaving town and needed it before I went, so I decided to take the advice of several friends and join Angie's List. I joined in late morning, and got the repair done, skillfully, cheerfully and promptly by 3 PM!! I was impressed by the cordiality of the person on the phone and the repair man who came to my house. I'm telling all my friends to sign up now!

The company sent a technician over the same day I called and was very flexible in terms of the time. The technician was on time. He was very friendly and explained the problem thoroughly, giving me an option not to purchase one of the parts. He also advised me of problems I had with the hoses and shut off valve.

The repairman arrived on time, was helpful and thorough. He mentioned he would report back to the office his findings in the dishwasher and the office would be expecting our call.
