CONNIE'S CLEANING

Connie comes while I'm at work. I never really know when to expect her, but I always know when she's been there because everything sparkles.

We used Connie's Cleaning for several years to clean our house. At first we were generally happy with them -- the price was right and they were happy to come clean when we needed it, rather than on a fixed schedule. Over time the level of service diminished considerably. Mostly this is because there were serious communication problems with Connie and her staff. The cleaning staff do not speak English at all, so if it was necessary to convey information to them, we would have to talk with Connie by phone and have her translate - very confusing. On several occasions they failed to show up when scheduled (not good when it's just before you are having company over), failed to come on time, failed to leave on time (imagine coming home at 7pm after a long day at work and having three people in your house still cleaning), and once they even showed up when we had NOT scheduled them and expected to clean - while we were still at home! The level of professionalism is very low. After a while these problems became more regular and it was not worth the trouble, so we decided to go with another cleaning service. It is surprising because we were regular clients in good standing and you would think they would have treated us well.

Two women(not Connie)cleaned my little condo. I am going to have them come back once a month. I didn't realize at first that they were going to use my cleaning supplies(i.e. floor cleaner, general cleaning products)but I'm glad they did because I use Seventh Generation cleaners and not commercial chemicals, ever. They did bring their own vacuum, buckets, and mop, though. After seeing these lady's in action, I've realized that I really don't know how to clean, and that they truly are professionals.

What I liked the most about them was that they did a thorough job and I didn't even have to tell them what to do. For example, they moved the fridge and cleaned underneath even though I hadn't told them to do that! They did a very good job.

It went well except I couldn't convey that there were certain shelves I had already removed stuff from and cleaned, so they got cleaned again. Oh well.

We have been using Connie's for about the last two years and have been very happy with the service. It is not too expensive and is great to come home to a clean house. Normally we are not here when they clean, but when we have been the women who do the cleaning are very nice and trustworthy. Unfortunately, they do not speak English very well, so communicating is not always easy, but Connie (whom we speak with by phone) speaks English fine. They always come when expected and have not let us down. The only other complaint is that sometimes they will not do a thorough job with the less-used parts of the house (e.g., guest bedroom) and there might be some dust bunnies left over. Still, I would recommend them.

THEY'RE VERY GOOD. I'D RECOMMEND THEM. THEY'RE RELIABLE. I ALWAYS KNOW THEY'RE GOING TO COME EVERY TWO WEEKS. WHEN THEY'RE HERE THEY'RE ALWAYS VERY NICE. THEY'RE THE KIND OF PEOPLE WHO YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE HAVING IN YOUR HOME. ON THE PRICE, I KNOW FRIENDS WHO PAY LESS SO THEY'RE NOT CHEAP, BUT THEY'RE WORTH IT. IN THE PAST WE'VE BEEN UNABLE TO GET THEM FOR RESCHEDULING, BUT THAT'S NOT A BIG DEAL.
