I was so impressed with Kevin's openness to my curiosity about what he was going to do and how it worked, and then with the promptness and quality of his product, that I knew the I had found my new roofer. I had been using the same roofer for many years, but realized it was time for a change. So when it was time, after the rough winter, to have some slates replaced, I called Kevin. On again, I was very happy with his service. Also, there was a pile of old slates left in the back yard over the years by my former roofer, and he offered to remove them as well. I have the utmost confidence in his honesty and integrity, as well as the quality of his work, and feel very lucky to have found him through Angie's List! Description of Work: Pointed chimney and replaced copper and lead flashing around it; sealed chimney; replaced a roof vent with a new copper vent and new flashing; replaced a number of broken slates. Excellent work. I intend to use them again for a larger job, involving copper gutters and ridge caps, this fall.

Description of Work: Kevin Williams answered my initial phone call within the hour and was persistent in renewing his efforts until he reached me. He arrived to assess the work at the agreed upon time and needed no more than a half hour on site. He e-mailed an estimate of cost the next day. With a slate roof involved and there being two damaged areas on my roof, I was very happy with Mr. William's estimate and that he had not tried to expand the scope of the work, as previous slate roofing contractors had done. The Castle Slate crew arrived on time to effect the repairs. The chief asked to see the inventory of slates I already had and said they were better for this job than the type he had brought on the truck. My slates were at a distance from the house, but Castle did not add a charge for the time it took their crew to bring them up to the job site. They finished the job in one day, principally, removing slates broken by the falling tree, repairing the underlayment, and installing new slates, but also, including replacing and painting damaged sections to a fascia board. Mr Williams had anticipated the need for paint and had asked me to have paint in that color available or to give him the formula and the name of its provider for him to get it. The repaired areas of the roof look beautiful and are harmonious with the undamaged area around the repairs. My whole experience with Castle Slate, end-to-end, was so favorable that I now consider them my roofing contractor, and I have informed my previous contractor of that choice.

My rear gutter and soffit's replaced with copper gutter's.front copper gutter repaced. vent pipes(3) covered with copper. Broken shingle's replaced.Kevin Jr. came to look at the job. sent me a quote in a timely manner. I OK'd the job and 3 worker's( Keven was one )showedup when they said they would. They worked from morning till evening and left the place vacuum cleaner spotless each day.They were very skilled and answered any question's and addressed any concern's I had. They even primed and painted all the new wood used.They were so quiet you would have thought they went home!I have lived in this large brick Tudor for 30 year's and have had many slate roofer's on my roof,even one's found in these listing,but none as good as Castle Slate.
