Description of Work: The plumbers arrived on time but was slow to start due to some confusion regarding the extent of the work. They were great once they got going. Unfortunately, because of the late start, they were unable to complete everything that day even after staying until 9:30 PM.

Description of Work: We own a 4 family building in Somerville and I called Big Blue to fix a leaking shower head in our tenant's unit and to fix a leaking shower diverter in our unit. They fixed the tenant's unit with no problem. The took some pictures of my leaking shower diverter and told me that they would research its make and availability and get back to me. After 4 weeks I called them. They apologized and said there was a mix up between the plumber and the office and each thought the other had gotten back to me. The same plumber came back and, to my frustration, took some pictures and said that someone would get back to me. This time they did call me back and said that they had the part they thought they needed and would be able to fix the leaking diverter. The plumber showed up and after checking again, he realized that my shower needed an extension part. To his credit, he did tell me that he thought that might be the case but the supply warehouse did not have it in stock. He apologized, told me that he would find out about the availability of the part and that someone would get back to me. Exactly one week later, the office called to tell me that the part that I needed was on back order and it would take 90 days to get it. They asked me if I wanted to order the part or proceed by installing a different diverter altogether. A different diverter. A new diverter would require cutting through the back of the wall to get to the plumbing and there would be more work involved to replace the existing part with a new one. I asked them to give me a price quote for each of the options. Since the plumber told me that he believed that the water was leaking into the shower and not behind the wall (yet? right now? ever?) I thought that I had some time to compare the costs. It's been over a week and I still have not heard from them. I realize that this is probably a pain in the neck job but no one likes to be strung along or ignored. As a result, while they were very nice and apologetic every time I spoke with them, I could not recommend them.

Description of Work: A pinhole leak opened in the main water line. I found Kevin on the web, called, and he was here within an hour. It turned out that a lot of old pipe had to be replaced wth copper. Then when the water was turned on another critical leak in the line coming into the house developed, requiring calling the city to come and turn off the water outside the house. Kevin made the repairs and even came back the next day to stabilize several pipes.
