I called two local plumbers to fix a shower that wouldn't shut off. Michael called back in ~ 10 minutes, the other company took 4 hours to call back. Michael showed up the next day, called to advice me about a traffic delay, and fixed the problem in about 45 minutes, replacing some worn gaskets with spare gaskets he had in his truck. He also identified that the wrong part was used in one part of the shower, and told me the correct part that should have been used. He seemed very familiar with the shower parts and was able to rattle off part numbers from memory. He was very clean and neat, and used dropcloths to avoid leaving footprints or fingerprints anywhere in the bathroom.

Michael has a wonderful disposition and is willing to discuss his services and take input from the homeowner. He wants to please and do an excellent job.

Overall my experience was excellent.

Mike Gogos came to house within 24 hours, and he called ahead to let me know he was running 10-15 minutes late. (Thanks!) First, the bath tub. We had been having problems with the tub drain for 3 years, always clogged and never responding well to store-bought drain cleaner. Mike solved the problem for us. The drain went from fully stopped up to completely clear. His care and attention to detail was much appreciated. Concern for rupturing the pipes feeding into a drum trap (old house) led him to go directly from the tub itself. He even checked to see if there was evidence of leaks in the condo unit below, before and after the work. The water heaters (2) were a bit more problematic. The first restarted with not much effort, but the second did not start after many attempts. This was immediately following a flooded basement after days of rain. Apparently, the main air filter was soaked with water and needed time to dry. (Upon a return visit, Mike used an air compressor to finally dry it out and get the heater going again...) Overall, great service, professional, prompt, and courteous.

Michael Gogos from A and A Plumbing was nothing but polite, honest, and very easy to work with. He was very responsive to our problem and made sure that we were satisfied. We were worried that our leaking water heater was going to completely blow and flood our entire basement, so it was important that we got it switched out as fast as possible. A and A Plumbing answered our call promptly and switched out our heater very fast, so we were more than happy.
