Do It All Construction

A big project that had been put off far too long. The plastic tile on the lower part of the walls was original to the house (1940s) and was pretty gross and was even melted and curling behind the stove area. Some ceramic tile had been placed around the sink area and it was not really a match for the plastic tile. The formica counters had lost color in places where they had been scrubbed and the enamel sink was rusted all around the edge. Steve was great. He started the same time every morning, worked straight through, and left just about the same time every afternoon. He cleaned up the sawdust and mess. This was a big job and Steve was easy to have around and very receptive to my concerns and worries. His tile work is a masterpiece--it is done to perfection.The bead board is perfect around every turn and corner. I wanted the kitchen to be improved but I wanted to keep the asthetic of the house the way it had been designed. Great accomplishment and I am very pleased.

Steve did an excellent job tiling my tub and shower. All of the carpentry work he completed in the bathroom was of a superior quality. I've received a lot of compliments regarding the quality of his work on the bathroom. Very dependable- worked every weekday until the job was done. I've already referred him to my sister (and he built a gorgeous fireplace mantle for her) and will continue to refer him to others.

Very well! Steve was a gem. I put off doing work on my bathroom for fear of not being able to find someone who would do quality work at a fair price and have level of professionalism that I could rely on. Steve Shola accomplished all of that. I am so glad we worked together. Perhaps because he is also a craftsman as well as a contractor his commitment to doing quality work was impressive with him often attending to details because 'it was the right way to do things' even if the details were't always obvious to the naked eye. He also gave me an incredibly fair price and payment options. I will certainly work with him again and look forward to doing so!

STEVE IS AWESOME!!!! He worked on our house for 5 full weeks. Before I continue, please know I was reluctant to give my praise of Steve because my wife and I want his work all to ourselves. That said, Steve, is honest, personable, professional, always on time, on budget and meticulous. His finish woodworking is amazing. I cannot say enough about his work and his person. This provider was very punctual in showing up on time. It was difficult to get in touch with them, but they explained that they have work that keeps them from being able to answer the phone and return calls until the evening. The "B" rating was less a function of their ability and more a function of what could actually be done in a two-hour time-span. Not a reflection on the provider, but any type of job like this should not be purchased by the job, not by the hour. That's more a lesson for me as a consumer, but my opinion is that general contracting work should only be purchased by the hour if (and only if) the purchaser could actually do the work themselves and know what the outcome should look like. Because I had never done grouting or re-work of grout to remove mold, I didn't know what I should have been expecting.

Everything went really well. Steve was very communicative setting up the appointment and arrived early to do the job. He did a great job and was happy to do the additional work we asked of him. In all Steve was very friendly and professional and we will defintiley consider hiring him again in the future.

Steve did some work for me almost exactly a year prior so I was thrilled to learn that he was the provider for this painter for a day special. I knew he would do a great job and he did. He called me within a day of my purchase and he arrived on time on the day of the job and worked straight through for my full 8 hours. I had prepped the walls so he could get right to painting and he applied two coats of Benjamin Moore Aura from the 1st floor all the way to the attic door. I've used professional painters before, and have done a significant amount of painting myself, and this was by far the best paint job I've ever seen. Awesome job cutting in (without tape) and absolutely no mess anywhere. I am positively thrilled with the job Steve did and I will definitely hire him again, for painting, tiling, cabinet installation, etc., etc.

Steve is one of the most professional contractors I have ever worked with. He came the day I called to review the work and provided me an estimate the same day. Once I decided to move forward he provided me a written estimate and scheduled within the month. The windows were installed in less than 3 days. He showed up on time each day and cleaned up before he left. You would never know he was in the house. Throughout the job there were no surprises. If I could I would give him an A+++. I will definitely have him back to do more work.

Steve came when he said he would and did all the work in less than a day. He cleaned up after the job. It required getting into the tub and re-grouting all around the area. He then caulked around the tubs.

This is the second time we have hired Steve to do work at our house. He is always on time and very dependable. I never have to worry about the quality of his work and never have to worry if he will show up, he's always there when he says he will be. We had hired a larger construction company to do a large basement renovation assuming it would be too much for Steve who works alone. Unfortunately, the company we hired turned out to be one guy and a helper, boy were we fooled. We ended up having to fire the original contractor as we lost faith in his ability to finish the job. I called Steve to come and finish the job. There was one part that needed to be finished that was complicated due to basement structure and Steve was able to finish the job and it looks great, we are very happy.

Our house is old and the spaces for installing the doors were irregular. It took a good amount of time, measuring and craftsmanship to get the doors to fit properly. Steve's workmanship was impeccable. He was patient and thorough in his work and extremely professional. I have worked with many contractors and home improvement professionals over the years. In my opinion, this guy is the best. I never felt I was being 'sold' something I didn't need. He was awesome to work with. We will absolutely use him again for other improvement projects in our home. Steve comes highly recommended.

We could not be happier with his work, and will call him again. He was at our house within days and the work was done within a week. The jobs were small but not easy, given the age of house. Other carpenters just shook their head when I showed them the old wooden floor return. We did have a small problem with warping on his first fix of the floor return (again it was not an easy job), but Steve came back quickly and resolved it. Could not be happier.
