Once the tech desk answered late evening call, person was knowledgeable and pleasant. Solutions were found to problem after numerous Qs&As. Service is part of monthly internet service so there was no additional cost for this help. Internet, cable and electric service all offered by municipal company SELCO, i.e., Shrewsbury Light and Cable Company, to town residents.

The guys from Shrewsbury Electric and Cable Operations SELCO came in to fix my kids' TV and he took a dump in the bathroom and clogged my toilet. The guy was smelly. Some of their channels don't work. I feel like they just kind of laugh. They don't really take me seriously. When I called them to tell them that some of my channels doesn't work, they just didn't know what they're going to do.

The company is cheaper than anybody else around in terms of price. I pay $55 for cable, but I have an upgrade to a sports package, and I pay about $52 for the electric. At Christmas time in December, they gave all the customers a discount because they saved money somehow. I don't know how much percentage was off, but Christmas lights this year didn't cost me that much this year because they didn't charge that much. During the ice storm a few years back, I called them the morning of the ice storm and told them that the transformer had blown. Usually if I call, they let me know when the lights will come back on. They knew the lights were going off, but they didn't know the transformer had blown near here. That helped them identify what the problem was. Frankly, the lights are not going off a lot now. They show me the costs of the other companies around here and they are definitely lower than anybody. I called them once about something related to my new TV and the guy came out here. The company didn't even charge me for the call because the guy couldn't do anything. He explained what it was and he told me it was something minor. He told me he had the same problem himself and it was something that they couldn't understand. He told me and that was fine with me. I didn't even get a bill for that even though they usually charge when they come out. I continue to use them and I might change over my Internet and phone to them because they do that too and they are so much cheaper.

We pay them about $80. My mother gets a discount. For the senior plan we have for my mother, we have the basic cable and the equivalent of a DSL, but it is the lowest speed which is fine with us. We do not have a problem with that kind of speed available.
