After the backsplash was completed I was disappointed with the color of the tiles. They appeared much darker than the tiles I had been shown in the showroom. My main concern, however, was that they were staining when oil splattered, and being a kitchen backsplash this was a problem. It took quite a while to have the installer come back, but eventually he did and resealed the tiles. Staining is no longer a problem. The installation of the backsplash was excellent. My regret is that I was not home when they installed the tiles. What you are shown in the showroom is a very small representation of what the finished product will look like especially using natural stone tiles. I would have had them stop, paid for those tiles and purchased other tiles to finish the backsplash, So in closing I would use Dimension Stone again for their installation, but I would be very careful that I choose every tile they are installing. Also, I would advise anyone having any expensive remodeling project done is, be home while the job is being completed, and make sure you see exactly what is being installed. Hopefully, you won't be surprised and disappointed with the finished project, as was I.

I ordered an ivory backsplash. I know natural stone has variations in color but these were mostly light to medium brown, not like the ivory that was displayed in the showroom that I thought I was ordering. When I called the showroom about this, they told me they would lighten in time, which sounded ridiculous to me, but I thought they are the experts. Needless to say they are still brown. Secondly and more troubling than the color is that grease spots cannot be removed. The stone soaks them up like a sponge. Part of the installation process was sealing the stone to protect it. I am questioning whether or not this was actually done or if it was, it was not done well. I contacted the company and was told to use acetone or bleach, neither of which removed the stains. Since it is a kitchen backsplash, and grease and cooking splatters are unavoidable, cooking and preparing food is difficult. Several phone calls asking Darsio who I purchased the backsplash from to come to my home and address this, has produced no results. I have sent two e-mails in the past two weeks and have not had even an acknowledgement. I want them to come out and clean my tile, reseal or seal it for the first time, and stand by their work. I am disappointed with this backsplash, feel very shabbily treated, and infuriated that I have had to spend so much time and effort trying to get this fixed.
