Closets By Design

Design was discussed with me and finalized by Ashley. Install completed 4 weeks later by Lou. Company accommodated my changing material color ,no problem. Recommend company and staff, great product fair price, install very good. I did complete the demo in prep for install to save some money.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Closets by Design to revamp several areas of my home, including all our closets, laundry room, and office. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Design Process: Christine Champ, the designer assigned to our project, was an absolute delight to work with. She possessed an innate ability to understand our needs and preferences, translating them into beautifully crafted designs that maximized both space and functionality. Christine's attention to detail ensured that every inch of our closets and other spaces was utilized efficiently, resulting in a seamless blend of aesthetics and practicality. Communication: Throughout the entire project, communication with Closets by Design was seamless and hassle-free. Deanna, the scheduler, was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring that all our questions and concerns were addressed promptly. Her professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set the standard for outstanding service. We absolutely love our closet! Tricia Enos did an amazing job designing a closet that fit our needs perfectly. It is gorgeous! Our installer, Eugenio, did a fantastic job installing. Everyone we dealt with was very professional, the product is high quality, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!

This was our first experience with Closets by Design, and I wanted to write a review for Tricia Enos, who was our designer. She was both professional and prompt in providing us with a proposal for several closet areas, and was also very responsive in regard to questions, clarifications, etc., as we reviewed the different options. I would not hesitate to contact Tricia again if we were to have future closet needs.

My closet is everything I wanted and more!!! I’m excited like a child on Christmas to use it! Tricia Enos was great to work with! She helped us with ideas and suggestions and wasn’t pushing expensive, unnecessary upgrades on us. We had many delays on our end and she was great in understanding and always helpful with rescheduling. Customer service was always great to call too and helpful. I would do it again in a heartbeat! My closet is wonderful!

Ricardo- was very professional from the first minute I met him to the end. He is clearly knowledgeable in his profession and explained different ideas and options I might have when designing my closet space, he listened to me and offered helpful suggestions. We recently worked with Samantha Gadd to design our closet in our master bedroom. We renovated our house a few years ago and this was the one spot that never fit in with the updated house. Samantha took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped design something that was functional using every inch of space we could. I knew nothing about closet design and she helped make the process so easy!

I had a fantastic experience with this company from start to finish! When I called the office to set up my consultation they were very friendly and efficient. My designer, Tricia Enos, was courteous, knowledgeable and filled with organizational tips. My installer, Sean, was pleasant and clearly sn experienced installer. I would recommend this company to anyone. I absolutely love my new garage storage!

Sarah Pierce was my designer. She was amazing. Knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with. Can’t recommend her enough!

Sloppy install, damaged hardwood floors, scraped walls, Installed dirty shelving. Door fell off after one month and facia came apart. Operations manager said if his people didn’t put a hole in the floor or wall it’s not covered. Blamed me for getting facia wet. It’s bone dry and has never been wet except when I cleaned it with windex and a rag. They do not take responsibility for anything and care nothing for your personal property. If you don’t believe me check out Better Business Bureau. $30K hassle!

I recommend that you do NOT hire Closets by Design to do anything in your home. We hired them to put up shelving in our basement. They charged us 50% before doing any work and set an install date. They called a week ahead of time to let me know that they'd be there at 9am on the install date, so I rearranged my work schedule to be home that day. They didn't come until 4:30 pm, and just dropped off materials with no work done. They said they'd come back the next day to finish the work so I took a second day off of work. They arrived and finished about 75% of the work because they didn't bring enough materials with them. They left and said they'd call with a third install date. When I didn't hear from them after a week, I called, and they had already scheduled a day without telling me. In the meantime, they charged the remaining balance to our credit card. When they arrived (my third day off of work), it was a different person then the original installers, and after an hour he let me know that he was leaving because he didn't bring the right materials with him. I called to complain and they told me that they "promised" to be able to finish the job the next time (which will be my fourth day off of work). This hasn't happened yet. Again, DO NOT hire Closets by Design.

I would never hire this company again. I have used California Closets and Closet and Storage Concepts and like both of those in terms of quality, installation and service. I decided to use Closets By Design because they are a major company I had not used before and they gave a large discount,although with the discount their pricing was similar to closet and storage concepts. At this point I wish I had my money back to go with another company. They installed shelving and cabinets in my laundry room which was just ok—they had to come back another day with one of the cabinet handles. But the shelving unit in the basement did not go as well. They installed the unit against a wall and when I realized where they installed it, I realized it was partially blocking the path from a doorway. I asked them to move it and, after the installer threw a fit, his manager told him over the phone to move it. He continued to throw a fit, moved the unit, but half of the unit was installed with the shelves slanting down. I called the company after they left and the installation manager came out and agreed it had been not properly done. He said he would need some materials he did not have and come back to fix it. Fast forward almost a month and I had not heard from him a time he would come out. I called and left messages on his phone and with people for him several times before I was told someone was scheduled to come out to fix it—more than a month after the original installation. The guy they sent was one of the two original guys and he said they had only told him he was out there to fix some crown moldings. He had a good attitude about trying to fix the shelving unit and -mostly-leveled the slanting side. However, instead of installing new crown molding he reinstalled the old damaged crown molding and caulked it to the ceiling, trying to hide the damage with caulk. When he left there was caulk spread everywhere—all of the crown molding, some on the ceiling, and caulk on some of the unit. He and I had discussed hiding the gap with caulk, but this went beyond that and was a generally not great caulking job. He should have used new crown molding instead of reinstalling the damaged crown molding. The top of the unit was also dented in the reinstall of the crown molding. I would never hire closets by design again and I want my money back. At the very least I will have to hire a handyman to put in crown molding on the unit in a proper fashion.

They took a four thousand dollar down payment and disappeared, I am now looking at leagal remedy to recover whatever i can.

I had them in to do design and estimate. The "designer" had just left his job as a waiter. He did not know how to measure and he had no ideas. His sketch was worse than anything I could have done myself. Tried to hard sell me as well. Check YELP. Many people have had trouble with install, and quality of product, along with no customer service. Avoid.

It went very well the scheduling was timely and they were on time and communication prior to and up to appointment was great.

Very professional and responsive. Excellent quality. Very happy with results.

Installation went really well. When we notice a discrepancy between what they planned to install and what we ordered the installer immediately took ownership of of the problem which was resolved to out complete satisfaction and no delay on the install. We love our new closets

Everything was great from beginning to end. Eva Torontali-Gould was a great designer. We decided to change the design and she was responsive and creative.

It was great - from the consultant who came out very quickly to helping us design the closet with some great ideas that we had not considered and helped us figure out which coupon (we had a few from 'moving in' packets) was the most effective. She was also very honest and upfront about the timing of installation. We had a 6 week or so delay in getting the closet installed because of the size of the job and the orders in front of us. So there were no surprises.

The designer they sent over, Eva, was awesome and made the process easy and enjoyable. She was very welcoming and gave helpful suggestions that would not cost me an arm and a leg. The designing process was easy to understand and affordable.

I contacted this company among 2 others to give me a quote on master walk-in closet. Jennifer came out on Labor Day, and was super helpful. She included my existing shoe bench into design, and spent the most time with me trying to understand what I needed in the closet. She was the only one who drew a design and gave a quote during the visit. Her price was also the lowest of the 3 companies I considered, and she gave the most of what I was looking for. However, it felt a little pushy as I was asked when I wanted for her to come back with official drawings for me to sign the contract. I did read some negative comments about the company, but I was still considering them for the job as I would really get everything from my wishlist. Jennifer send the final design over the email. However, after reviewing it I felt like some measurements don't add up, and reading some comments for things got cut short and had to be filled with plastic filler, I started having doubts. In the end I went with another company as I had more confidence in them, but I can't tell anything bad about Closets by Design as they didn't do any job for me. Since I only interacted with the designer, I'm giving them as she did a very good job.

excellent. I am very excited to see the finished product. Right now we are in the plans phase. The nice part is she was not pushy understood my husband is out of work unexpectedly at the moment and is working with us.

Working with Cindya was such a pleasure. She could translate my thoughts into the design and I felt very comfortable with he approach. I did evaluate two other companies, however, her attention to details was commendable. Same goes for the installer. He was very patient and found some incorrect cuts and went back to fix it with no hesitation.. The job was a big one, but the way in which they approached it and completed was awesome..
