PLANTS & DESIGN

The ladies were quite professional and pleasant. Communication was fair (slow to respond to calls and emails). Their design was very nice (included 23 different kinds of plants) but the subsequent bill was extremely high for this middle class homeowner. My guess is that their clients are from much more well-to-do areas. Moreover their quote for actually carrying out the design (plants, materials, labor) was extremely high ($14, 900). I know this because I took the design to a very nice nursery and had them price it out (for the same size plants at delivery). Their estimate is $5,200. I would recommend that you pin them down on their price before hiring them. I wish they had made the fact that they charge far above average clear from the start.

This is a very small, family business and I had to wait several weeks before they had time for the work I contracted for. They did tell me that there would be a wait. They did an excellent job, planted interesting and varied specimens that will give me some "Winter interest" (bright bark color, Evergreens, interesting trunk shape, and such) when other things die back. They even came back to water when I went on vacation.
