called them up and someone came over they said they will get back in a week for the estimate. he never got back to me Tried hiring them for snow plowing they were not responsive took a week before they said they are fully booked.

Mixed. Good and bad. First job they did was good so I hired them again. The next job I am very dissappointed in and I dont think they are going to fix it ot my liking. now after paying a large sum, Im going to have to do it myself.. They take a long time to come out to quote and then getting the actual quote after they have seen the job ill take another two weeks. I really want a permanent lanscaper but Im not sure that this is going to be the company.

I have worked with Fine for years (going on 10) and have engaged them on a wide variety projects from the simple (weekly mowing service and lawn treatments) to the complex (design and build out of a stone patio area, rebuild of front steps with stone masonry, creation of backyard play area, etc.). Aaron, Jeannie and the entire staff (both on-site and office) have always been professional, responsive, punctual, honest, fair and courteous. Their work is first rate and if there are ever any issues they are addressed quickly and appropriately. There are a lot of choices out there for landscaping services but you won't do better than you will with Fine.

Mixed bag. The workmanship was of good quality. My issue is the miscommunication . My understanding is that the price included the hydroseeding of the leveled area, but they told me it was only on the area where their equipment caused damages. I've also instructed them to level my compost pile , and they missed that completely . Also, they decided to work on a couple of days when it was pouring and extremely muddy. Their tractor tore up my lawn really badly - which they repaired afterwards but it was still painful to watch .

The company crew arrived at my house for fall yard clean-up (409 Dedham ave, Needham MA 02492).I expected to see a Leaf and Lawn Vacuum machine like any other professional landscaping company, but two laborers with buckets, rakes and blower. I already made piles of leaves, but there was no vacuum machine, and they blow everything again to move 7 feet closer to the truck! (45 minutes waste of time)Anyway, I noticed with their approach and tools, they cannot even clean half a yard. I got involve with my own rake like a labor to speed up the process (!). Putting leaves in bucket and the truck was a very slow process.After two hours, they left with not even half of the yard done.I contacted the company for a visit and evaluation. The company representative (Bill) was also shocked with the situation, and took pictures to ask the owner for a resolution. However, the owner contacted me today (12/8/2016) and notified me that the deal means just labor, not the vacuum machine for Fall clean up, unless I pay extra (of course, not through Angie’s list!).This is just stealing money from people. To express my frustration for such a deceiving business model, please let me make a simple example: What would be your reaction if a professional carpenter charges you based on an hourly rate ($100), but use a hand saw for a big job.A professional landscaping company should use professional tools to speed up the process. The owner said, with Angie’s list deal, the company does not provide vacuum! What does that mean?I would be pleased to send you pictures of this small yard (half of yard has not been touched at all (full of leaves) , the rest of that is not really cleaned.)

They are supposed to be back this coming Mon. There was no cost to do the quote, but they told me that the deal I purchased was to be for 6 hours labor. They were going to send out 2 guys for 3 hours each and that the work I needed done would take longer than that. To me it should not take any more than 3 hours. The guy who came out was very professional.

I had used the company for about 6 years. The office was very close to my home and I really got to know the staff over the years. They were very personable and regular people. It is a family owned business. They were great with the cleanup after each visit. The staff was very nice. There was one occasion when the staff was plowing and bumped my car. It was just an accident and he owned right up to it. They were happy to pay for the damage to be repaired. I never had an issue getting them out for a service at all. They came out automatically after so many days for the lawn mowing. They always showed up when they said they would. I recommended them to my neighbor and they were equally satisfied.

We received estimates from three companies. Fine's pricing was just slightly below the others and their proposed turnaround time was shorter so we hired them over the competition. They came within the promised time frame, and we were impressed with how quickly they completed the job. Our backyard looked completely renovated: they removed hideous and cumbersome stones and bushes as well as slate which had been installed by previous owners. This was done in less than two days. In place of these things, we now have grass, which (after following the appropriate instructions) is already flourishing. Our yard looks bigger and better. I would recommend Fine Landscaping for any major projects.

Fine provided a beautiful design with several different types of trees and plantings that gave us a beautiful yard while also providing the increased privacy we wanted. Everyone was very professional and the owner made several visits to the site to ensure the work was being done to his high standards. When one tree was felt to be too close to the others in a row, they replanted to tree to even out the space. They are very professional and we are extremely pleased and would highly recommend.

They are very punctual. They even were out on our property prior to the snow and put up markers along the driveway. Then they returned promptly to remove the snow after the snowfall. Did a good job.

After taking down a number of pretty good sized hemlock trees in my yard, the trunks of which I stacked into wood piles, I was left with a pretty huge pile of branches to deal with on my relatively small lot. I looked into renting a chipper, renting a dumpster, etc., and was discouraged to find all of these options costing several hundred dollars. I couldn't imagine that paying someone else to do a job would cost less than doing it myself, but looking at the chipper and dumpster costs, I figured it couldn't hurt to see what a landscaper would charge. Despite limited reviews on Angie's List, I called Fine Landscaping, mainly because they are located in my town. I was told on the phone that a rep would come out that day, and later that same day I heard back with a quote of $80. It was so reasonable I had to ask them to say it again to be sure I heard right. I gave them the go-ahead, and by the time I got home the very next day the monster pile was gone, the paved area where it had been swept and hosed down, cleaner than it had been before I even started my little project. Excellent work for a very reasonable price!

They were great to deal with on the phone, actually i fille dout a quote request online and they came by on their own to look at the property and then followed up with a detailed quote via email. Great customer service and the price was $100 cheaper than another landscaper I had come to do a quote. I thought the quality was great.
