Bob was fantastic to work with. Incredibly skilled, attentive, patient and professional. The project presented many unforeseen obstacles as they started the demolition (Bob had forewarned us that in an old house such as ours this was likely to happen). Bob and his team were able to overcome the challenges with positive solutions. He communicated frequently and clearly throughout the project and did a great job managing our expectations of the project and budget. Bob helped us address numerous structural issues (from subpar work done previous to him) and communicated what these issues meant in terms of our project, specifically cost and timeline. His finish work is beautiful and shows his true craft and attention to detail. We could not be happier with the finished project. We will absolutely use Bob for future house projects and strongly recommend him!

We were unable to go forward with the project due to budget restrictions but would not hesitate to hire Bedford Builders in the future based on our experience.

It went superb. I was pleased with the fact that the owner, Bob Bedford did 90% of the work. Everything that was recommded, faucets, fixtures was great. He had the best plumber, best electrician. They did not have a huge crew so he (Bob Bedford) could oversee the whole job. I was able to be onsite during the whole renovation process. I like that they were only working on my job. They were here everyday, 5 days a week until the work was completed.

I searched Angie's list after I decided to get my home 'ready' to host family and friends to celebrate my daughters marriage. I had a number of things I wanted to take care of. My back deck was weakened after the heavy snowstorms of the past couple of years. Some boards on the floor had failed. I had a safety issue if I was going to have 75 people at the house in a few months.... The ceiling in my downstairs bathroom needed repair. I had started working out in earnest and my trainer recommended Epsom salt baths to soothe my aches and pains. No pain no gain! Into the tub I went and in short order I realized I had a plumbing problem - upstairs and downstairs. My brother thought I might have some problems due to a window in my shower too - but LIKED that window because I could look out into the backyard and it let light come in Those were the things I needed. There were also some things I wanted .... I decided to take the plunge and fully remodel the upstairs bathroom. I found Bedford Builders Remodeling on Angie's list and selected them based on reviews. I also checked the better business bureau. The first thing I liked was I had to wait for Bob to begin the job. Why did I like that? Because it showed his commitment to the current job he was on. When Bob came over to estimate the job he was very specific and transparent about the things he could run into on a bathroom remodel. I At that time, I didn't know Bob but he was a licensed contractor with good customer recommendations. Now I know that his guidance came from his experience of working on older homes like mine in New England; his knowledge of building codes and his pride in workmanship. Bob does things right. I think it is really important to do things right. This was an investment in my home. Once we started on the project Bob helped me understand my choices. What could be done. What should be done. What code required. He referred me to local businesses to get ideas for materials and products. He was flexible and fully competent to specific requirements I had related to my choices. I wanted to give a friend some of my my business for the deck - he was a local small business owner too. Bob readily expanded his network and collaborated to build and install exactly what I wanted. I really appreciated that and hope that Bob and Bill can find other opportunities to support each other's businesses. Bedford Builders Remodeling are consummate professionals. Your home is in good Hands. He is trustworthy and treats your home with care. He is neat and clean so you can go about your business while he works on really substantial undertakings. He communicates well and is very responsive. I am writing this review after a nice relaxing bath with the reception behind me and it was a great success. I am really enjoying the results indoors and outdoors. You may have to wait to start your project and don't expect to cut corners. You will not regret this hire.

Bob does high quality beautiful work. The radiator covers are outstanding and have added a classy look to our home. He is professional, reliable, and a pleasure to work with.

I was very impressed by Bob's courteousness and professionalism. Both he and his helper were a pleasure to deal throughout the whole project. He worked with me to keep the price down. He carefully removed the door so as not to damage it allowing it to be reused. He communicated with me every step of the way and asked questions so as not to assume what I would want. It's also clear that he was not just looking to get the job done but wanted to be sure it's done right. Bob was also very knowledgeable about building codes and communicated with the local building inspector. I would also like to note how neatly he worked. He sectioned off the area with plastic to keep the rest of the house clean, and covered the floor where they would need to walk. I was very pleased with the work and definitely recommend Bedford Builders.

We are so happy we went with Bedford Builders for our basement window replacement job. Bob was a complete professional. His communication was outstanding and from the moment he started unloading his equipment I knew we chose the right guy. He was very organized and impeccably neat. Bob left our property cleaner than it was before he got here! He was accessible to answer any questions we had very promptly. Our windows look and work great and I appreciate that he did the work himself (with another worker) instead of bringing in a crew and taking off, which has happened on so many other jobs we?ve had done with other companies. The price was fair to us, especially with the peace of mind that came with it. You might not get the lowest quote but it will be fair for the quality of work you?ll get. We?ll definitely be calling Bob for any future projects in our home.

I was very pleased with the amount of communication and professionalism I received throughout the entire process. Too many contractors just blow this important component of a business transaction. Bob and I traded email, text messages and talked on the phone when we couldn't meet in person. A+! As described above, Bob needed to revise the original plan we'd discussed. He conducted the extra work without a change order as he acknowledged that he had not done the research prior to starting on the project (there was a lag from signing the agreement and work commencing). The lag in work commencing was a little bit of a bummer but it was peak season and most other contractors told me they couldn't get to it until fall so the fact that he was on the job starting in September was OK. Bob was neat and well organized. The work moved quickly and he always communicated when he was working or if he needed to take a few days away in the middle of a project. Everything was completed to our agreed upon specs and to our satisfaction. Bob even caught that there was a little rip in our screen, ordered a new one and replaced it!

Clap boards on the front of our house were rotted and cracking. We were nervous that water had penetrated into the house. Thankfully no water damage was found. Bob showed us what everything looked like as he worked. He explained what most likely had happened and sealed up some suspicious spots where water could have gotten behind the clapboards. They properly installed a vapor barrier sheeting, installed new clapboards and painted everything. We have built in heaters which make for a thin spot agains the outside wall. When Bob accidentally nailed through this area he immediately fixed everything and put it back the way it was. He and his men were respectful about the property around the work area. They were clean, and polite.

Bob is the ultimate professional. He's honest, upfront, does great work and his communication is excellent. The front entrance to my house was in rough shape. The portico columns were completely rotted, the staircase looked terrible, there was visible signs of insect/water damage beneath the door and the doorway threshold was falling apart. When I initially met with Bob to get an estimate, he was very clear about the scope of the work and identified all the potential areas of concern that we may encounter. As he worked through the project, he communicated clearly and did a great job scheduling the various phases of the job. When it came to finishing work (specifically the custom exterior trim around the door and sidelites) he collaborated with me to get the desired look and the entire entrance looks amazing. The overall quality of the work is excellent and I will definitely be hiring Bob again in the near future.

This is a long-overdue review for a fantastic professional. Bob helped me replace my front door. I wanted more light in the house and he walked me through all the options of doors. He helped me order a custom door that I love. The work is beautiful. My brother, who is a fine carpenter, commented on how well the job was done. I am a single female and I greatly appreciated Bob's direct and thorough explanations of everything - cost, options, differences in materials, suggestions for wood stain. I trusted him completely.

Mr. Robert Bedford of Bedford Builders was on site promptly and completed all work in a timely fashion. He first provided the homeowner with a detailed listing of what he planned to do, briefed homeowner on all required code procedures and gave detailed account of fees, listing all items purchased, their cost and labor involved. Mr. Bedford exhibited professionalism at all times, going so far as to state he wouldn't charge less just to do a quick job but that his pricing was fair for what turned out to be a superior job! All furniture that had to be removed was done so carefully and properly placed in an a joining room. Time was taken to hang plastic sheeting to minimize work dust and the job site was cleaned and with HEPA vac and all ceilings, walls, floors and hard surfaces were wiped down upon completion. Mr. Bedford and his crew were expedient, thorough and timely so the job was completed within a minimum of days. The homeowner, my elderly dad, was delighted with the end results. Mr. Bedford communicated regularly prior to the start of the job and with me, (daughter), copied on all invoices and paperwork involved in contracting the job. Having met Mr. Bedford I felt confident that Dad was in good hands. We whole heartedly recommend Bedford Builders.

Bob is extremely well spoken, respectful and professional. Unlike numerous contractors I have dealt with in the past, Bob will actually call you back and get back to you within a day! His ability to get back with you, whether by email, text or phone call is what distinguishes him from the others. Very polished from a business point of view. To top it off, he's very nice. He was able to fulfill my job request very well in a reasonable amount of time. Very neat and ensures the work area is cleared from debris as much as possible. Would highly recommend him. He's a perfect example of how Angie's List can help clients and be an outstanding service.

The work Bob did to our kitchen would make HGTV proud.. I must start by saying that Robert Bedford is first and foremost a gentleman of the highest standards, and a real pleasure to work with. Secondly, his work is excellent - his professionalism comes through in his attention to detail and his desire to produce results as close to perfection as possible. He was responsive, always reachable, and accommodating throughout the renovation process. Our small kitchen was dark and 1950ish, and we wanted it to be bright and contemporary. After the 'demo' phase, Bob enlarged a doorway opening for a more expansive feel, installed creamy white cabinets, and laid down beautiful hardwood flooring to match the rest of the house. His idea for recessed lighting makes the kitchen seem larger now. The subway tile backsplash he installed was perfectly done, as is the painting job he did. He coordinated well with our fabricator and cabinet supplier. And he cleaned up and vacuumed all of the work areas each night - there was never a mess left - not even a leftover coffee cup was to be found! Bob exceeded our expectations in the quality of his workmanship, his professionalism as a contractor, and in the ease it was to work with him. I give him the highest of recommendations.

Robbert is really a good professional contractor for home owners. He Knows a lot for improving the houses based on different purposes. If you talked to several contractors, you probably got the idea who is the good one. He is the one I would choose. I want to sell the house, he suggested me to contact realtors first to get ideas what to do to avoid wasting money, although he still gave his ideas how to fix the things I want and sent me back the estimates in a timely manner. I would hire him if I have big projects, but rather after I talked to the realtor he recommend, I will do small cosmetic stuff which obviously should go lower end of services. from riverside ri

He was very professional. He was excellent. He is very reliable. He pointed out what the problem was. He remedied the error that I had made as well as the contractor that I had doing some finish work. He was very, very good and he just seems like a nice personality. The job was done excellent overall. I kept his business card so that if I do need any more work, I would certainly give him a call.

Mr. Bedford was vey responsive to our somewhat urgent request. After reviewing the job he provided a detailed bid within 24 hours. He provided all the materials needed to meet safety codes and arrived and worked efficiently on his own. I was unable to personally gain access into the attic but the work was assessed by the Home Serve repairmen as being extremely well done, providing them the safe access they require for their technicians. When asked, I willingly provided Bob Bedford's name and number for Home Serve to pass along to other customers! I do not have access to the exact cost of this job. The cost of service listed is truly "approximate."

This is the third job that Bedford Builders Remodeling has done for us. As always the work was done as scheduled, cleanly, professionally and flawlessly. Bob is always upfront, honest and punctual - as well as just being a very nice person to deal with. Always upfront with costing and scheduling, working with Bob means there will be no surprises. We are considering more work, and will not hesitate to call Bedford Builders when the time comes.

Bob was very professional and punctual. We have been having trouble getting contractors to even return pour phone calls., so it was good news when Bob answered the phone, and was helpful and found time to come look at our job right away. Unfortunately, that was where it ended. In his opinion, the entire basement needed to be gutted, insulated, and re-finished. That wasn't what we were looking for. None of the other contractors who looked at the job (there were two others) thought that much work was necessary. Bob finally decided not to submit an estimate for our job. I appreciate Bob's position. Not every job is right for every company, and he knows how he likes to work. From reading the other reviews, I got the feeling that he is a stickler for following the rules. There is nothing wrong with that, and I would consider using Bob in the future. Just be aware that he is probably best in a job where you need new construction, or you want to start from the studs and do everything over, and get it right.
