Burkhardt Bros. Movers

This was the second time we used Burkhardt in two years. In our recent move, an oversized TV was damaged in transit. When we called to ask Burkhardt to pay to replace the TV, we were told that their insurance only covers external damage—not internal damage. They charged an extra $75 to move the TV, so it was insult to injury that they didn't cover the cost of replacement. My Dad is on a fixed income and now lives in his new apartment with no TV. Also, their customer service is terrible. I had to call several times in order to get a response. Clearly, they didn't want to deal with the issue. I'll never hire them again. This is no way to treat our elders on fixed incomes.

Dan and his crew came on site when they said they would be there. They were able to successfully negotiate the narrow doors and staircases when moving all of the items listed above. We could not be happier with their work. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for punctual, personable and professional movers.

The conformation call saying the truck was on its way came exactly at the time I had been told to expect it! The Burkhardt men each came in and introduced themselves with a handshake. Ben even got off the truck BEFORE they had backed into my driveway, just to say they were here and ready to go. They were very quiet and communicated flawlessly with each other. They even cleaned up the spill from my DamppChaser and within a matter of perhaps 10 minutes, the piano lid was off, wrapped separately, also the music rack, lamp, etc., all wrapped and stored where I had indicated. The body of the piano was shrink-wrapped, which I thought was brilliant, because the work in my 1774 house will involve dust and debris. They quietly and seamlessly moved it to the storage location, making sure it was extra-secure and wouldn't tip and fall. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism, competence and experience of these three young men.

Don came to do an in home estimate on our future move. Don called an hour before the scheduled time saying he was in the area and would it be ok to come early. It worked out for me. Don came early, was polite, friendly, engaging with my children and professional. He wrote up a detailed estimate right there and explained it all in detail along with the process for the day of the move. I couldn't be more please.
