I called and he personally answered the call. I told him about my emergency. He moved me to the front of his service calls. He came right out and he inspected the issue that we had. He told us what the charge would be to repair. He drained the old unit, installed the new hot water heater and even gave us information on what he would have charged for the other repairs. This company is very professional, I highly recommend them.

It was a good experience, start to finish. He was courteous and professional throughout. He answered the phone immediately when I called, asked me questions to ensure he had the necessary parts to perform the service, and arrived within the hour at my house, as promised, on a Sunday. He explained the pricing up front, both on the phone, and after diagnosing the issue at my home. He encouraged me to watch him as he worked, which I appreciated. He performed the work quickly and well, and answered any questions I had. He said he loved his work and that he cared about doing it well, and it was clear to me that both statements were true. He made sure I was happy with the completed job. Before he left, he double-checked to make sure everything was ship-shape. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a plumber, especially on a weekend.

The back flow valve on our furnace had been leaking. I called 3 companies and Platinum was the only one that returned my call. Rob arrived on time, reviewed the issue and provided an estimate. He got to work and had the valve replaced in about 20 mins. We have used the furnace for a month now with no issues.

Platinum Plumbing is worth his weight in gold. I emailed him in the evening and he got right back to me. Robert came quickly to install a new stove that had been hooked up improperly by someone else. He fixed the problem and came back another day for a less urgent washer/dryer install. He was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. It went perfectly. The second you call this man, he comes. He will call you right back or come over. I had bought a lot of fixtures. He told me I had overspent and they were not great. I returned them all and he gave me a discount. He is not a creepy person to have in the house either.

We needed our 56-year-old toilets replaced with nice, new, water-efficient ones. He was efficient, on time, and worked quickly. We hope to use him again for other plumbing-related projects.

Very well. When I sent him the e-mail explaining what was wrong and that it was not an emergency because it was a slow leak he got back to me with in a few hours asking me to call him and he would schedule me in. Rob was down the following day. He checked it and took care of the problem with in a few hours. He is very kind and curtious and also helpful in answering a few questions I had. For any kind of plumbing work whether it is to repair something or remodeling such as new faucets, showers he would be the one I call. He is very trustworthy.

Rob is very professional and prompt in returning calls. We orignally thought the hook ups for the washer were behind a closed wall. When opened up this was a much bigger job than expected. We had just moved in and did not have a washer and dryer in the house. We needed to get this work completed before that Friday when the new washer and dryer were to be delivered. Rob stayed last to complete the job! That next Friday we had an emeregency in the evening. I called Rob and he quickly came by and fixed the issue. We will be using him for our plumbing needs in the future.

Rob was great – was available when we needed him (immediately), showed up on time, was very professional and personable. He evaluated a backed up disposal and after trying to get in unclogged from upstairs he was able to determine that the clog was in a long pipe in the basement that the sink drained into. The pipe runs the entire length of the basement and all connections are so old that they’ve been fused together. He used two different snakes and was eventually able to clear the drain. He also tightened up the plumbing under the sink when finished and tested everything out to be sure it was all set. He also gave a quote for replacing to old pipe with PVC. Overall a very good experience.

The work turned out well. The person who came out was efficient, prompt and did what he said he was going to do.

Everything was fine except that he could have easily fixed a problem I had with the flush handle and attachment. I thought I had mentioned that problem when I had requested the new valve, but the plumber involved saw the problem with the handle and told me that I could easily fix it myself........but I honestly couldn't as I know nothing about plumbing. It is probably a simple problem for most people, but if he had just fixed it, I wouldn't still be opening up the tank to make sure the flapper falls back into place when I have flushed the toilet. The handle and lever probably needed replacing or maybe some minor adjustment, but I could not do it myself. For the price of $175, the plumber could have fixed that problem in a jiffy. He was there for less than a half hour, if I remember well. I would give them an overall "B" rating.

Great customer service, excellent work. Fixed my furnace and showed me/explained exactly what he was doing and why. This is the 3rd time I have used Platinum and I highly recommend them.

It couldn't have been better. Rob arrived at the agreed upon time, had everything needed in his large truck, and applied himself to the job. He is very fast and very professional. I am recommending him without hesitation to my neighbors.

When I first called Platinum Plumbing I was surprised that I didn't get a machine, but that I got a live person. Second, Rob introduced himself and then the first thing he asked me was if I had any heat in the house (it was the dead of winter in New England and I have a little one - so I completely appreciated his sense of priority ); he called the day of the appointment to let me know he was on his way and he was right on time. He assessed the situation, explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and left to get the supplies. He came back quickly and went straight to work. I was grateful that he came out as quickly as he did, that he explained everything and that he made sure the system was working before he left.

We discovered a major and massive water leak in the basement at 10PM Monday. The cuase of the water leak were something inside Boiler. Mechanical room in the house was flooded and full of steam. I switched off water supply, gas and electricity from the unit and went to bed. We got left without hot water and heat in the house. Starting Tuesday 6:30 AM i started calling companies from Angies list claiming they perform emergency 24/7 service. Most of the companies don't pick the emergency phone lines and don't return calls. Some companies respond but say that they can't arrive reasonably quicky. Basically, also no emergency service. Then I called Platinum Plubming and Heating. Rob pick up phone himself right away and said that he will be here between 10 and 12AM guaranteed. Guarranteed? Absolutely. OK. I was very happy to recive his call at 9AM and information that he is done with prior jobs and is on the way to me. Rob arrived to my door at 9:20AM. Great!! He has one of the biggest tracks i have seen driven by plumbers. It looks clean and neat. Clean and neat is important for me. Rob works by himself and doesn't push the job to cheap helpers. When he came in he quickly deterimned the cause of the problem and put a fixed price on the repair. I consider it a little too much. But he said that he has the part and he will fix the issue here and now. That was a valuable proposition and I agreed - I want my hot water and heat back. Rob was done in 1 hour and 30 min. My system was up and running back again. Rob took the trush out and left the work space clean and neat. Very professional. Rob is very professional, neat and responcive service provider. He has a lot of spare parts in his track that saves you time if you want or need your problem fixed quickly. He picks up the phone and comes on time. He is polite and takes garbage out leaving the place clean. I appreciate the srevice and consider timeliness and quality of service my money are well spent. I will definitely use Rob again.

I'm writing this on a Saturday within hours of Rob, the owner, coming for an emergency call when my water heater died. Rob was professional and punctual. His price was more than fair and he was very efficient in installing the unit. I've used Rob in the past and is work is exceptional. He has installed new plumbing and fixtures throughout my house as well as fixing various gas related issues. He can be counted on to go that extra mile. When something goes wrong, it is Rob that I call and I know that he'll be able to fix it right and the first time. I've shopped around at first and found Rob's prices to be competitive. It is Rob's professionalism and quality work that puts him above all the rest. Rob did different work for me at once so I haven't put in a value of the service for today's service call.

Really a good process from the initial visit for the analysis and quoting of a replacement, to explaining the offer and the benefits and tradeoffs, to scheduling, installation and completion. The basic work was done in a little over a day and we only lacked hot water for a few hours. Care was taken to keep everything clean during and after the job. Rob gave us a fair and complete explanation of what he felt would be best for us. His quote was not the cheapest but we sensed that he understood best what we were trying to accomplish with this investment. He explained how the system worked and gave some advice on how to adjust our thermostats to get our two zones to deliver the comfort we sought. Rob also helped us apply for the rebate from National Grid ($1,200) which came through just as promised. Since the install was in August the first test was would the hot water be OK. That was and continues to be excellent; certainly works better than the old system. Now that cold weather has arrived we have found the house much more comfortable and less drafty. So far our gas bills seem clearly lower. We chose Rob's offer over two others, one was from our HVAC contractor that installed the original unit 25+ years ago. His offer was solid and he really seemed to understand the technology he was selling. And finally he seemed to be a person we could trust. At the end the person you do business with needs to be someone you trust since he knows more about the product being sold than you do. We really trust Rob. We are very happy with our decision to make this improvement and the choice of Platinum Plumbing to do the work.

After 2 visits from the manufacturer's service repairman, I was advised to contact a plumber. I called Platinum Plumbing and Heating and Mr. Holmes came to analyzed and correct the situation. Though it was a tedious task because of the nature of the situation, he found two problems and corrected them without an loss of time, yet being very congenial and pleasant. The main feature of this company (Robert Holmes) is that he was determined to find the problem and correct it. At no time was he non professional, yet being pleasant, and focused on his job. Today, 12/5/2012, when we did the first wash in the dishwasher, and found excellent results my wife said "If the plumber, Robert was here she would like to give him a big hug. We were without the dishwasher for 6 weeks while the Manufacturing servicemen could not correct the problem. I must say that the customer service support team at the manufacturer was very helpful, and did provide comprehensive support.

We have been completely satisfied with the new gas boiler. Rob was able to show and compare several models and assist us in the one that would be most efficient and meet our heating needs.
