McCormick Kitchens and Baths

These guys are really terrific to work with, absolutely A+, they had a nice showroom where you can select cabinetry and items that you need, they did nice presentations and showed you 3 dimensional view on how it works. They always came when they said they will. They had specialists for the glass shower doors, radiant floors and they were really a good place where you can find all the things you need for. It was a fantastic experience to work with them, they were really wonderful.

They are excellent.

Everyone at McCormick was responsive and professional from the first point of contact through the finishing touches. We had a clear vision of what we wanted to do in our full kitchen remodel and found a great team to carry that out. We trusted everyone who came to work in the house. The end result is beautiful and well put together.

Kitchen renovations are never fun. But the pros at McCormick made it as painless as possible. They had great communication skills, and the teams that came out to work on our house were competent, polite and professional. One other thing we really liked was their creativity and computer design. Other contractors asked us where we wanted things and then sketched out a design that accommodated that. Carl (their designer) did the same — and then. Add a few suggestions that were vast improvements. He was able to show us what these ideas looked like in his CAD program, so there were no surprises. One of the other things we loved was the tile work. Frankie is truly an artist in this area. I still go into the kitchen or bath, and find myself impressed.

Carl helped up design a completely new layout for the drab, tiny old-fashioned kitchen in our new house. He also directed us to vendors for counter tops, appliances and tile. All of the suggested vendors were great to deal with. McCormick coordinates all of the contractors that work on your project, so we never had to worry about finding a plumber, electrician, or anything of the like. We also never had to worry about pulling permits because they do that for you too. Everyone that worked in our home was pleasant and trustworthy. This was important because my husband and I were usually at work when the contractors were working in our home. Only once did I ever come home to find the place was left a mess (not bad considering how many people were in and out of our home over such a long period of time). Which brings me to my next point, the only major downside I found with McCormick is terrible communication, mostly between the job foreman and the customer. I was literally told that I was not supposed to contact the office manager after construction had started but to address all communications directly with the job foreman (Darrin). Darrin is a nice enough guy but very short on words. Calls were not picked up and texts were answered briefly and incompletely. It was near impossible to have a conversation about the project and get questions answered unless you were physically in his presence (which most of the time we were not because we are just average people who work full time jobs). For the amount of money we spent on this project (this kitchen has to last us the rest of our lives), it was important to us to communicate our concerns and get our questions answered to ensure that everything would come out just right. As the team will not work in your home on a daily basis, it was important for us to know when we would have a crew working in our home. This was more of a personal reason in that I was pregnant at the time and sometimes wanted to take a day off that did not coincide with a crew of workmen in my home. When the project first started we would be notified when workers would be in the house. Then somewhere along the line that just completely stopped and it didn't matter how many times we asked to be notified of when workers were coming, we never were. This was problematic because as the project went on, we saw less and less of McCormick Kitchens. Sometimes they would say they were coming and you would get home from work and no one had been there. May not sound like a big deal, but if you're pregnant and having complications and need a day home to rest, it would be nice to know you can actually take the day off without wondering if you could relax in your pajamas or if a construction crew would be coming in the door any minute. Sometimes we wouldn't see anyone for a week or longer. The project took entirely too long. We began demolition on March 27th and were told it would take 9-12 weeks from start to finish. In my mind this means, we are 100% done (construction done, paid in full, final walk through, inspections and everything). Well, they finished the kitchen sometime in late June and we just never heard from them again until September when they called looking for their final payment. We did a final walk through in September and requested some small things be addressed from a burn list. Here it is October and we are still waiting. Hopefully we will be done this week. We still need to worry about inspectors coming through to look at the work and this to me is just ridiculous. We started in March and the expectation is to be 100% done in June and I'm still making calls to them in October. I am a new mom who works full time and just want to be done with this kitchen already! Overall, product is great. Contractors and crew were great. There is something to be said for trusting the workers to be in your home when you are not. Service is decent. Communication is poor. Time frame within which this project was done is terrible. I would recommend them but just want prospective customers to have a wide open time frame within which to expect their project completed. They start off real strong and then just peter out to the point where you wonder if they forgot about you. The kitchen is beautiful and functional but no way should it have taken so long... My baby will probably be in college by the time I take McCormick's phone numbers out of my cell phone!

Living without a kitchen with children is NOT easy! So needless to say it was so helpful that they were upfront about the estimated time frame of the project - as we had other contractors come out and tell us it would take only 4 weeks which realistically I knew would never be possible. McCormick does an amazing job juggling all aspects of the job and getting various contractors in here to do their part of the project. This is priceless! I would not have the time or ability to try and line up each contractor as their portion of the project came up - it went smoothly and efficiently. When I had questions or concerns I would get an immediate response. There motto of keeping their customers happy is one they live by. We had one glitch with flooring and they immediately hired another contractor to come out and get the job done to our satisfaction. Overall the project went very smoothly. The staff were experienced and friendly (they even loved my dog!) The final product is AMAZING! We could not be happier. We would recommend using McCormick for any remodel project. and......(8 months later..... as I have questions or need any work done - they are still as responsive as day 1 of the project!!) Outstanding experience. My wife and I are blown away with our new kitchen. Carl, Darren, and the rest of the team were a pleasure to work with. We couldn't be happier with the process and more importantly the end result. Won't hesitate to refer them to my friends and family.

Not well. McCormick Kitchens and Baths came out to our home on May 4, 2016 to take a look at our bathroom and to get an idea of what we were looking at having done to our bathroom. They made an appointment with us to come into their showroom to see their ideas and to get an estimate. The appointment was to be at noon on May 19, 2016. We were called at 11 am asking us to postpone our appointment due to an emergency issue at a job site. They never rescheduled or returned our phone call.

It was a pleasure to work with Carl from McCormick Kitchens. He spent a lot of time with us creating the perfect design plan. He helped us choose cabinets and gave us excellent recommendations for tile, appliances, etc. Carl was always quick to return calls and texts and always pleasant to work with. His contractors were knowledgeable and friendly and well as reliable. The kitchen was completed in the expected time frame and it turned out exactly the way I wanted it to. There is not a single thing that I wish were different. We spoke to a couple of other contractors who gave us a design and weren't willing to make any changes, and tried to talk me out of things that I knew I wanted. It was clear that Carl wanted us to have the kitchen that we dreamed of, and I couldn't be any happier with the final project.

Everything looks great! All of the guys did an outstanding job . They came on time over 6 days and worked diligently til done. Tile guy even came on Saturday to finish.

After looking at many options to do an unexpected remodel of my kitchen…. I cannot express enough thanks to Frank McCormick and his entire crew. Professional, top notch and an absolute pleasure to have working in the house. The entire kitchen needed help, plumbing, gas, vents, and all those little things I didn’t consider. They helped me with the overwhelming task of picking knobs, faucet, etc. They quickly put me at ease, took care of everything and gave me a kitchen more beautiful than I could have imagined and in short time. Darrin made sure everything was perfect. The crew was on time every day, left the work site cleaner then when they arrived- THANK YOU! They did a fine job. We were looking around and they seemed to fit in with what we liked. I would recommend them to anyone. They were very friendly. Everybody spoke English. They completed the job on time. They cleaned up after themselves.

The project went very well. They started on time, finished on time. Each day their workers were here and knew what to do. They had excellent coordination with plumber, electrician, floor finishing etc. The design is also excellent. We are very happy with them.
