Leo did an awesome job removing our popcorn ceilings and giving us a smooth surface with straight edges everywhere. He even touched up areas in the wall that were cracking which was outside of the job description. His pricing is very fair and he’s super responsive if you want to communicate by phone or text. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or hire him again for his quality work and professionalism.

Leo did a great job repairing and painting our guest bathroom ceiling after damage from a leak. He went above and beyond fixing other odds and ends in our home that he didn’t need to do and at no additional cost. A real class act. He was friendly and communicative. Leo did an outstanding job. The best review of his work I can give is that the end result shows no evidence of any work having been needed. There's no trace of his having ever been here, and that's exactly what we were looking for. He was meticulous and cleaned up after himself, and we are entirely satisfied with his work. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Got ripped off. Paid $1500 to start. Bought material and delivered on June 10. He was supposed to start prep, but said he couldn’t as he was moving. We scheduled for June 15-19. He did not show on the 15th. Very hard to get a hold of. Told me he was sick. Minimal communication and didn’t answer my texts. Finally said he would come June 19 to prep and hang blue board. Didn’t show at 8. Said he had to finish a previous job. He would be here at noon. Nope. He showed about 1pm. He only prepped that day. Organized with neighbor to let him in the 20th. Nope. Didn’t show. Another job. Took all day. He will come June 21. Nope. Didn’t show. Didn’t return my texts. Or my calls. Told him not to come back. 1500 bought me materials. A little prep and a lot of stress. Hire a new contractor through thumbtack. He happened to know Leo and said he does this all the time. Doesn’t pay his workers. Stay away from him.

Our situation was that the tenant above us their toilet leaked through our ceiling into our bathroom. The difference between Leo and the other contractors is that Leo took the time to come to my condo explain to me what needed to be done and walked me through how the job would go. The end result was amazing and the ceiling looked better than it did before. Leo didn’t waste any time and got the job done in 2 days and he was so flexible to work around my busy schedule. Leo is coming back to work on other projects I have at the condo and I’m so happy I found him on Angie’s list.

Leo came and gave us a quote in person, we paid him $1k to buy paint. He was not able to start for 2-3 weeks and confirmed a start on April 3. We were told it would be a 3 day project. First he didn't come because his girlfriend was ill and in the hospital, then he was going to "make up" the time by coming on the weekend but the weekend came and went with no show and no contact. We had given a second $1k check which was cashed. He finally emerged and said he had food poisoning and had also lost his phone. Then he was back supposedly to finish but he dropped his dog he brought with him and he had to tear out of here at 90 miles an hour to get his dog to the vet. We've not heard anything since then - we have furniture in our kitchen, our largest room a shambles and no contact from this guy despite repeated attempts to get in touch

After reaching out to several recommendations on Facebook, receiving extremely high quotes, I decided to try Angi. I received my first call within minutes. Leo Tighe offered to stop by and see the project and provide a quote. The work which included interior construction of drywall and plastering of walls and ceiling in a bathroom being remodeled. Leo was kind, thoughtful and professional. He did excellent work, and completed the entire job, including moving the existing door, from start to finish at a very reasonable rate. I have a few projects that I will definitely have him do in the very near future. I would highly recommend Leo Tighe to anyone.

Leo Tighe is absolutely phenomenal with plaster. He takes great pride in his craft and that shows in his work and neatness. His thorough understanding of old houses was very useful in solving complex problems at our house. We recently purchased a new home and desperately needed fix ugly ceilings and wall issues. Leo’s prices were fair and did work on time despite of unforeseen issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to fix ugly ceilings, crooked walls or any other major projects.
