I made the big mistake of giving Bento interior work on my house. at first I liked them, but then they caused a major accident with a pipe leak. I forgave them and we continued, only to discover significant problems with shoddy carpentry, unlevel tubs, things not done to code. Clayson was constantly hounding me for payments on incomplete work. I would only trust this company with exterior work, even then you must check everything!!! I've worked with Fernando and Rafael in the past on exterior jobs and patios and they were very easy to work with and professional. This time I hired Clayson for interior work and it was a disaster. It cost me a significant amount of time, money, and labor to fix the problems they left me with with zero apology. Another incident we had was a loose toilet they installed, when I tried to contact the owner to work out a solution, he said "I'm not happy with you and your small complaints". This company lacks the integrity and honesty you'd expect when you're trusting a contractor with your house. What a shame! ***Problems included uneven walls, unlevel tubs, leaky pipes and drains, unsecure toilets, very bad carpentry, loose flooring, code non-compliant electrical work, and shoddy masonry...***

The job went beautifully. The Bento crew was on time, worked hard (and did a little extra that i needed at no charge) and got the job done exactly when they said it would be completed.

Bento construction rebuilt a retaining wall on our property. Rafael and Fernando were professional, knowledgeable and conscientious. They always followed up on our questions and worked seamlessly with the structural engineer. There were alot of steps to follow –demolishing the old wall, excavating, installing the rebar and drains, rebuilding, etc. The work they did was top-notch. Fernando spent several hours each day on site with the other workers. They began promptly on the day we had arranged and finished the work within the time they estimated. Their estimate came in lower than three or four other companies. Even after they had finished all the required work and the city inspector came to sign off on the work, they still came back to install baffles on the parking lot that abuts our wall (the necessary hardware had not arrived at the time of the end of the work). They were a pleasure to work with. I recommend them most highly.

Bento Construction is the best! No question they were the best contractor, or sub, we worked with on this project (we also did an extensive interior renovation expanding our footprint from 3,600 sq ft to over 4,800). Extremely hard working, very professional, on time, stayed late and showed a lot of pride in their craft. And, very pleasant, very communicative and conscientious about the job site (one subcontractor's team threw their lunch trash on the ground - Bento's team actually cleaned up after them!) I strongly recommend Bento. Based on their performance I haven't had the need to find anyone else. And, I've had them back for more projects 2 more times.
