B&B Excavation

We needed to have our leeching field replaced, we did not need a new tank. We sent out multiple requests for bids. They were the first bid that we received, which was great because we needed this job done by a certain date. Their bid was lower than what our engineer thought that it should be, so we hired them, there was about a one month wait. About 2 weeks later we got some bids and they were much lower than B&B. B&B would not lower their price at all. They did a good job and it was completed on time, so we're happy for that.

I called for a title 5 inspection to get an idea on whether to upgrade my current system. The person in the phone explained that I really only needed an inspection , which is the same thing as a title 5, but cheaper because no paperwork needs to be filled with the town. The two men who came out (Brett and Kevin) were very professional and took the time to answer all my questions and explain to me what they were seeing on the camera. As it turns out, my pits are in amazing shape for their age and they recommended against an upgrade.

I rarely write a review but when I do the company is an outstanding one that deserve to be recognize so other homeowners can easily decide which one to hire and that’s B and B. The project is not a couple of thousands so I called two more competitors to compare the details of the work and pricing. The work details from the 3 companies was pretty much the same but the big difference was the pricing. B and B was way more less than their competitors including the company that failed my inspection. The crew that came out (4 of them) was terrific. Each crew knew exactly what to do which made the job efficiently and expeditiously without compromising the quality of the work. The project took them only a day in spite of the rain (heavy downpour) they continue without stopping. My hats off to these guys! They even came back the following day to redo my lawn and reseed and air blow my driveway. In conclusion, if you need a professional quality work above all substantially lower price don’t think no further hire the B and B excavation and you will be a satisfied customer. Call them now!

From the first phone call to the final truck pulling out of the yard, this could not have gone better. I had another quote that I didn't like from a competitor, but this quote was substantially lower (by thousands of dollars) and was explicit in what was covered and what was not. Becky and Marci kept me informed through every step (perc test, town permits, etc) so I knew exactly what to expect. The final installation was actually done a day earlier than predicted! The crew arrived on time, got right to work even in the rain, managed to squeeze their equipment through a very narrow space between my deck and a tree, saved another tree that the earlier company said would have to come down, and did not touch so much as a leaf of any of the plantings in my yard. I was impressed! The only glitch came when the backhoe was finished and squeezing back between the deck and the tree. It knocked the step off my deck, but before I even knew what had happened, one of the crew had gone to the local lumber yard, bought supplies, and built a new step. Now that is service!

Repaired a damaged septic system that they did not cause for free after approx. 6 yrs of initial installation.

Very professional, prompt and responsive. Their proposed cost for the installation of a new septic system was slightly below the average cost of the proposals I received; however, I decided to go with a lower cost proposal.

B and B, was outstanding. Quote, was fast and the best price around and the work, was professionally done in one day. Arrived and removed plantings, cobblestones, and fences to gain access to the back yard. Did job, then put everything back in place. Very impressed!

Outstanding job. Listened to concerns and found a great spot to locate each field without disturbing lawn. Great one day effort in and out and very pleased.

It went great. The permitting process in my town could have been very onerous and difficult, but Becky and Bob had a good relationship with our town Board of Health due to all the work they'd done in the area. They were a "known." I'm certain that the reason the permitting process went so smoothly was because of the town's knowledge of their work. Other contractors I had interviewed described a much more complicated, dragged out permitting process and more costly and complicated solutions. Becky and Bob gave me a wonderful new, upgraded system on time, on budget without any of the grief and aggravation that I had feared in the permitting process. These are great, honest trustworthy people who do good work. My lawn and the surrounding slope looked better when they left than it did when the came. I've already spoken to them about working on the excavation and clearing for another home project I'm planning in another town.
