Description of Work: Mr. Arnold re-keyed all locks and replaced those that were insufficient. He walked me through each vulnerable spot and made recommendations for upgrading the jams or fixtures. He cut keys on site. He was punctual, responsive, professional and very very knowledgeable. Would certainly call him again!

+ -1 moreCalled yesterday for a 1:00 PM appointment today. On time with the matching finish deadbolt, professionally installed, all locks re keyed and eight new keys made. All in about an hour and a half. I also enjoyed checking out his van workshop... very cool. Jim Arnold is why I am an Angie's List fan.
Description of Work: Installed a new deadbolt on the basement walkout door, re keyed three cylinders and cut eight keys.

+ -1 moreI have just purchased a summer home down the Cape and wanted to have the core of the door locks changed. Jim was recommended by my broker and the day Jim came I changed my mind and decided to buy new door knobs and locks. With samples of fixtures he had in his truck, he helped me decide on the brand and finish and did not charge me for the initial visit (he called it a consultation) even though he made the trip to the house which was 30 minutes away. I purchased the fixtures and Jim came back and installed them. He did a fantastic job! He even made sure that the screws were all positioned in the same direction and cleaned up. He was a pleasure to deal with. If you are looking for a locksmith, you have to hire Jim!!!
Description of Work: Jim replaced the door knobs and locks, including dead bolt locks for 3 doors.

My only complaint and it is minor, he did not return calls on his voice mail. However, he usually picked up when I called. Definitely would use him again.
