We really can’t say enough about these guys! Over the 4 day project, Rodney and his crew showed up as planned, made sure we knew what the plan was for the day and how it would impact us, were meticulous about covering floors and furniture, were friendly and respectful, patient with our inquiries, solved unexpected issues without questions and left the site clean every day. We would definitely hire them again!

High praise for this family-based company. They did the contracted jobs efficiently, skillfully and with care, protecting the house and cleaning up after they were done, and at a fair price. They also went above and beyond by fixing or diagnosing some small issues outside the contract (hose bib problem, dishwasher tipping, flickering ceiling light, detached and loose deck railings). Crew chief Rodney was very easy to talk to, respectful and answered all questions. Extremely happy, would hire again in a flash.

Atlantic crew arrived on time and were exceptionally neat, efficient, friendly and professional. Their foreman, Gary, completely explained everything they were going to do and showed us exactly where and how the insulation would be placed. He was very committed to us understanding the process. He had a crew of 3 other employees with him and all were exceptionally polite and friendly. They worked hard all day to get the job done, covered their path through the house to contain any debris, and throughly cleaned up before they left. They needed to cut a hole in one wall to reach a portion of our knee wall, and they patched the spot beautifully before they left. I would highly recommend them.

They arrived both mornings on time and worked steadily all day. It was exceptionally hot , in the nineties both days but they didn't slow down or complain. It must have been h*** in the attic but they were up and down the stairs like it was an autumn day. I was very impressed with their work and they're friendly professionalism. The clean up both days was impeccable.

Atlantic Weatherization has been insulating the exterior walls in my home since yesterday. I am working right now and my father is overseeing the insulation, and he just called me to tell me how amazing they are. He said they arrived on time, they were great about cleaning up after themselves, and they are very polite and respectful. They had to remove the siding from my house to blow cellulose into the walls, and when I came home from work yesterday, I couldn't even tell they had been there. They replaced the siding perfectly, no holes, scratches or gaps. They are really nice guys and I would 100% recommend them.

The day of the install they were prompt and on time. The guys were professional, courteous, did a ton of work and were constantly hustling up and down the stairs. The job seemed to go relatively smoothly and no complaints. The problem I have is that they cut a hole in the ceiling of the finished attic (which was expected) but weren't able to fix it before they left. The worker said someone would contact me and come in a week or two to patch it. I wasn't too concerned so I agreed to that and they went on their way. So here we are a few months later and at least 5 calls to them and still nothing. I actually wanted the to come out and quote some additional weatherization work -- so it wasn't just about getting the ceiling fixed. It's not a huge hole and it's something I can probably patch myself.. it's just a shame that they won't get back to me and turned an otherwise positive experience into a negative one.

Workers were on time, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up after job; some of the work was in very tight places, was not an easy job, but all looked very good when completed; the 2nd floor of house already seems less hot due after insulating the the hall ceiling (imagine heating season will show a savings). Because job was relatively small, it was completed in one day. House was much tighter after job was completed.

Rodney and the crew were great. Very personable and professional. Got the job done and were a pleasure to work with.

NStar, through "Next Step Living" provided an energy audit of my home. The findings were that I needed insulation in my attic. The first vendor they sent out discovered I also had a leak in the roof and some black mold in the attic, so they couldn't proceed. Next Step Living referred me to Atlantic Weatherization. They came out to give me an estimate and were EXACTLY on time. NSL told me that they would also do the insulation work. We agreed they'd come out and do both the roof and the insulation on 2/1/13. The appointment was for 8:30, and I nagged them about being on time and they actually came 45 minutes early to my delight. The lead contractor was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything they did as they were doing it. The crew of 3 were all very nice and respectful and did not mess up my house. They did the job fairly quickly and the results have been noticeable and I expect will be reflected in my gas bill. I was absolutely delighted with their work, their demeanor and helpfulness and would recommend them highly.

On time, 8am. Supervisor and crew very gracious, answered every question cheerfully, and with detail. Did the Door Blow test on arrival. Pumped insulation into walls, sealed basement, weatherstripped all doors. Paid great attention to every detail. We're very careful with removal of siding, couldn't tell it was even removed, save for a few fingerprints. Put everything back were it belonged. Job was finished by 4 pm. The mess was minimal; very difficult I think with blown insulation. It would have been nice to hose the outside down, but too cold. I would recommend them to anyone. Well established family business in Salem, that's why I picked them. I would recommend doing the work in warmer weather, just to be able to wash down the deck and siding from the bits of fluff.

They completely dropped the ball. I called and asked for an appointment for an estimate. They took all the information but never called back. I called again after the holidays and left a message. No one called back. It ended up being a waste of time.

The scheduler called to schedule a time to come and moved some other jobs around to come the next day so that we could have the work done during our vacation. The workers arrived on time, were polite, knowlegable and competent. They explained what would need to happen and how. While the work was being done, we needed to move everything away from the exterior walls and cover it to keep it from getting dusty. We hadn't cleared everything from rooms that might get dusty and they helped us do that and to move some large pieces of furniture away from the walls. They worked for two days. On both days, they left the house clean, which was impressive, considering the amount of dust generated by the drilling. I decided to save money by finishing and painting the walls myself. One of the crew members, Tim, who had a lot of experience taping and mudding, took time to tell me what I needed to get and how I needed to apply the joint compound (each hole needed to be taped and plastered because, as they explained, the plugs installed by the insulators could be pushed into the wall with a little pressure). Tim gave me several invaluable pointers which saved me a lot of time and frustration over the next several days of plastering holes. Having insulation blown in from the interior was a sensitive job in which a lot could go wrong, and I was impressed with Atlantic's level of experience and professionalism.

This job went extremely well. About three guys did the insulation work and the overseer was extremely courteous and explained all the details of the job and answered all our questions. Also, the work was completed on time in one day. We had an independent auditor review their work and he said that they did an excellent job. We contracted this work through the MassSave program.

Damien (from Atlantic Weatherization) was very professional and took extra time to explain the best procedures and practices, as well as some of his professional opinions on maintenance. Also, while he was there, I asked about some roof work to repair a leak that I had just recently noticed, and Damien spent some additional time explaining what they could do for that problem and gave me some good advice on dealing with roofers in general. The proposal was ready and emailed to me when he said it would be, which was pretty prompt. Their estimate for services was pretty good and in the ballpark with other estimates I received. However, I decided to go with a cheaper estimate from another provider for the spray foam, and I did the roof work and gutters with a buddy of mine who is a GC.

Provided references prior to starting work, pulled permit prior to starting work, and showed proof of being a certified Massachusetts and EPA lead-safe contractor and a certified BPI contractor. Did outstanding job and workers were friendly and courteous. Highly recommend Atlantic Weatherization.
