I have always used A & A Services for my home improvements!

No response to my Angieslist quote request sent via Angieslist messaging. I did receive responses (same day) from other providers.

I must say communication with A&A is amazing. I had several other estimates and Ed is the only one who actually climbed onto the roof to inspect the gutters. They arrive on time and clean up thoroughly. Ed then came by later in the day to inspect the work done and made some minor adjustments so everything was perfect. Recently with the heavy rains I was having mulch wash away. I called Ed yesterday about the problem and he suggested river stones. I personally cannot carry a bag of river stones. Ed said no problem and he would take care of the buying and placing river stones by the end of the week. Ed took care of the problem the same day I called him. Thank you so very much Ed and A&A Services.

I have mixed feelings about A&A services. The good: * Windows are top notch and look great, installed quickly, work well 6+ months from installation * They have a carpenter as part of crew so were able to expand the size of our 6 picture windows The bad: * Installation crew was sloppy to the point of damaging our home. They left a 2 foot scratch in our hardwood floor and a large ding in a piece of molding near one of our interior doors. We brought both of these issues to the attention of our sales guy at the final inspection. He accused us of lying about the floor scratch and then said he could fix it as he had done his own floor but it would release toxic fumes and require us to leave the house for days. He then criticized the existing finish on all of our floors. Accidents happen but I know for a fact (because I was home) that the installers were working without putting anything protective on the floor and the over the top and offensive response to our legitimate complaints (scratched floors, chipped molding, overall carelessness) was quite upsetting. * Secondary complaint, they reframed the outside of the new windows with treated pine not hardwood as our usual general contractor would recommend (he weighed in after the fact) so now we have to worry about longevity and insects (carpenter bees, termites) damaging the window frames. Wouldn't be as much of an issue if they hadn't cut corners in this way. So overall, I like the windows a lot but I would never hire this company again because of how they respond to complaints and the corner cutting on wood issue.

Very smoothly done. Clean job that made a big difference in the amount of heat loss we were experiencing.

It went great. I liked, Ed, he was very attentive and explained everything. They followed up to make sure everything is ok. We are working with them now to work on our roof and they've been very thorough with that as well. They are a professional service.

I have an old roof and I wanted to get a good amount of estimates. I was a little put off that the consultation didn’t actually include someone actually going on the roof to look at it. I mean I am looking at roofing work wouldn’t a ladder be appropriate? Before even sitting down with the sales rep, I was told how old my roof was and that it basically needed to be torn down. Granted, that might have been the case, but my roof is extremely hard to see from the ground up. The area that the leak was coming from is not even visible from my yard or even across the street for that matter. Once I showed him the leak area he noticed that I had old skylights. He made a point to continue to point out how old and outdated they were. I mentioned that I was going to look into getting those replaced in the near future but right now I wanted to focus on the roof. However, once the “quote” was given to me, it included solar skylights (at an outrage price at that). Since then, I was quoted by 3 other people at half the price of what they wanted to replace them for. Again, I knew this was going to be an expensive project. I full expected that. As a positive note, I will say that the sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The consultation lasted for probably an hour. I felt like I was in a boardroom and someone was giving me a sales pitch on the company – which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, but my goal was to get the quote. As great as the company may be, it all comes down to the dollar amount for most people. I had to wait 60 minutes to actually be told what the quote was. I almost fell on the floor. It was $25,000 (3x the amount of what other companies were quoting me at for the same work). I’m not saying they wouldn’t have done a great job, but for me and my budget, it was extremely unreasonable. Please understand, it's not the price that has me rating this as a C. The only reason why I am giving this a C rating is because I did feel pressured to call in for financing. The sales rep mentioned numerous times that I could get approved right then and there. I told him that I hadn’t made a decision yet and he told me I could still call and get approved and they would hold it for 30 days. I felt that he was put off by the fact that I wasn’t going to do this and that I wanted to think about it. I also felt pressured as to letting him know when I would make my decision. Again, I had a lot to think about here. I wasn’t even thinking of financing as that was the last thing I wanted to do. In the end, it was at that moment (along with the astronomical pricing) that I decided to not go with this company. If it’s one thing a consumer doesn’t want to feel, it is pressure. I appreciated the options he gave, but when I say that I need to think about it that is where it should have ended, don’t pressure me further. It actually rubbed me the wrong way. As a result of this (not to mention the high pricing), I went with another company who ended up doing the same work for nearly a third of the cost and was just as professional with no added pressures.

A&A Services did a great job replacing all of the gutters on our 100+ year old house. We needed to replace gutters which were terrible shape, having been patch-worked in the past (some were even made of wood.) The consultation visit was professional and thorough, and left me feeling that the company took pride in it's work and would be very concerned with our satisfaction. The work was done with both speed and quality - and with while the project was expensive (gutters are not an exciting thing to spend money on), we feel that it was a great investment in protecting our beautiful vintage home. Very glad we did it and recommended A&A to many of our neighbors who have similar needs for their houses.

I had to call them back. One of the boards was put in extremely rough and you could actually see the insulation below it. I didn't think that given the cost of $10,000 that that should have been necessary. I realize that it was only one board but it shouldn't have been necessary. The price was good. They do a good job. I wouldn't use them again in future.

It was okay. They were the best value for what we were looking to get after 2 or 3 different estimates. They weren't the best price but were the best value after we looked at it. They were quite responsive. The issues that came up were insurmountable, its just the fact that they shouldn't have been there. They should have had better quality control, better upfront disclosures, that kind of stuff. There was like a lack of coordination between the job and the installation. They asked me to buy stuff, I did, they came and said it wasn't good enough and they had to put their own in which cost 3 times more than mine. I'm assuming the stuff they got was better but you never really know. This was my first time to use this company.

It was a three-day effort that required the removal of a very large old bow window. They needed to remove and re-install the aluminum siding. Sean did an excellent job talking through the options in advance and explaining the process. I think I could have found someone to do it cheaper, but I don't believe they would have been as professional or thorough. While doing the work they were very attentive to containing the dust and mess and explained how to paint the trim so it looked perfect in the end. When they were done, you would have never know there had been construction done either inside or outside. All of the people on-site were very pleasant and were great about asking for clarification on things when appropriate. While not complicated it was good that Sean took the time to walk through how the windows tilt and tips for keeping them in good working order. He also walked through all the work with me and asked about any questions or concerns. The end product looks fantastic.

would use them for sure- A1 Sean was great , excellent . We went over the issiues in garage and he took the time to look at problems we can fix with the the siding and windows- I would use them and in the future for sure- again Sean was great thanks for the info and I would rec them. I do not write many reviews so hope this helps.

I wanted to leave feedback, because A&A services (specifically, their rep Sean) was extremely professional. I had contacted them, because I thought that their clog-free gutter system could be added on to my existing gutter system. Sean quickly explained that their system would be replacement for my existing system. When I mentioned that I just didn't have the budget for completely replacing my gutters, he took the time to talk to me about what my other options would be. He was very professional, and it was obvious that it wasn't going to be this heavy-handed sales pitch. I did not end up getting sevice with them, but I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs to replace their gutters. They are going to give you a thorough, honest assessment.

I had some damage to my gutters and called A & A Service to give me a free estimate on how much it would be to repair or replace my gutters. Sean came out and gave me a frank assessment on my gutter and told me a few basic repairs I could do if I elected not to replace them completely which I really appreciated. He definitely went out of his way to tell me what the issues were with my current gutters and how new gutters would work. I never felt like he didn't have my best interest at heart which was really important to me and I felt like he was completely trustworthy. I didn't end up going with him because the cost to completely replace my gutters were a little outside my budget but I think the prices were reasonable. Just not something I could afford right now.

They have a website. They were not cheap but they weren't highly expensive. We were happy with their professionalism and they got the job done when they said. They gave a good presentation, gave us our choices. They went over the pluses and minuses and we felt that we were well informed. We have had no problems with the work that they've done. They were responsive.

It was good. So far I have no issues with that. I paid more than the Big Deal price. They finished on time. It was expensive.

Job went well. A&A showed up on time on the day of the install and worked non-stop until the following afternoon. End result looks great and so far so good on the Gutter Shutter performance. A&A is pricey (especially for windows, which I did not go through with), but I will say they have great products and I'm a believer in you get what you pay for. Having said that, they were cheaper than another quote for the same gutter product, so make sure you at least give them a shot if you're looking for a higher end gutter protection product.

I'm just ot in a position to pursue the deal.

It was a Big Deal purchase. It turned out just fine. There was nothing negative. The positive things are the things that I would expect, like showing up on time when they said they were going to and they did well at setting up expectation and then following through. I had originally purchased the deal for $250. The total cost of their work was $1200 or something like that; they did quite a few windows for us. I elected for a lower quality window in order to get a lower price.

I thought they were awesome. They did what they said they were going to do. The people are awesome. I would recommend them. They were really good. I did not think the price was high compared to the other prices that I got. They came. They did what they were suppose to do and no hassling around, no nothing.

It turned out very well. They were friendly. They worked with you to do things in your convenience. They did a good work. They were a little bit pricey.

They were very personable. The owner of the company came out and he made sure if the work was done properly. The price was okay.

The quote was $50,000. I didn't go with them because it was too expensive. I was impressed with them in almost every other regard but I thought their costs were too high.
