They were good. I would give them an A.they were good and quick. I would use them again.

We did not use a general contractor for our total kitchen renovation. We'd used T-Bros before for minor home plumbing repairs and knew they did careful, thorough work. The estimator came immediately and we got the price quote back right away. It seemed like a lot of money, but after the work was done, and counting up the hours and the expertise it took, it then seemed completely fair. When the new kitchen was ready to be hooked back up, we got the exact work date we asked for, even though it was only a few days away. The re-installation of the plumbing was challenging, but the workman did not take any shortcuts, and clearly wanted to do a complete, professional job he could take pride in. All the plumbers who were in the house were polite and pleasant.

For small jobs like I had they send an apprentice not a master plumber so the work was done done correctly because the handle broke only 7 months later.

Smooth, seamless. Again, when you have someone doing work in your house you want to feel safe and taken care of. Always professional and respecful as well as responsive.

They did a very good job. I recommended them because they did a water heater for me and they were very reasonable. The water heater is holding up fine. They were excellent. I moved into a condo and bought the water heater on January 15th and the following weekend it seemed to leak. A man who was working here caught it and was able to shut the cold water off. I was able to reach them on a weekend, which was very much appreciated. The pricing was good and I think is spent $1100 on that service.

Called on a Friday to arrange for someone to fix the leaky toilet. The first appointment was rescheduled for Monday. Since the leak wasn't causing any damage or disrupting life, this wasn't a problem. On Monday, the plumber came as scheduled and replace the hose between the water shut off and the toilet tank. Everything seemed okay. Charged me for the visit, the labor, and materials. When I returned home that evening, I noticed I was still getting water under the tank, but near the base of the toilet. Called Tuesday morning. A different plumber returned and said it probably was the wax seal. He replaced that. Since it was a continuation of the job from before, they only charged me for additional labor and materials. Seemed like everything was okay. Returned home and checked the toilet, by flushing. Water dripped from the bolt that connects the tank to the bowl. I had to tighten up the bolt myself. Right now, it all seems fine. They were courteous and neat, seemed to know what they were doing. But the experience made me wonder how thorough the guys were.

I called Tbros based on their great reviews and was pleased with how fast they responded. Unfortunately, it was quite downhill after that. After the very timely arrival of Tbros, I was told a few times how tight the area was to work in and how that made it a very difficult repair. I agreed that was probably true. The plumber's accessment was that the repair would take the better part of 8 hours and the cost was upwards of $1000. When I questioned the repair time and cost, he said he had to "cut away" (what I understood to be) part of the main stack. Now, I am not a plumber, but that seemed to be quite excessive. Yet, he insisted that was what was needed. A few days after the 'visit', I received an invoice for $96., but interestingly, there was no price estimate included. I called Tbros asking about the estimate, I was told that they don't do estimates and the $96. was for a "service call". I said that before I agree to pay $1000. on any job, I would expect a printed estimate of the job that I am hiring the company to perform. I got argument and was put on hold. Finally someone else got on the phone asking how they could help and I repeated what I was told about the job and price and that I would like an estimate sent to me. She agreed and a few days later I received a proposal. Now, interestingly, what was included in the proposal was another job that's not of an immediate need, but I would eventually have them tend to when finished with the toilet leak. The total proposed cost of both jobs was $1500. I clearly told them all that the 2nd job is to be done AFTER the 1st has been completed. In the meantime, the bells and whistles were really going off. I had contacted two other plumbing companies and got estimates that agreed with each other in terms of both time AND cost of the repair. Both indicated that nothing had to be cut away. Since then, I've had one of the companies come right in and complete what was NOT a difficult job UNDER 3 hours, for the total cost of $245.00!!! Do the math. That's less than 1/4 of Tbros price for that one job! I feel that this plumber tried to take me for a ride on a job that was obviously much simpler. I am extremely surprised considering the great reviews on Tbros that I've seen. I hate to say it, but it this either smacks of scam or incompetence on the plumber's part. Great reviews notwithstanding, buyers beware!

Trethewey Brothers Inc - Heating & A/C Trethewey Brothers Inc, is a very good company. A little bit expensive, but do good work., and you are paying for the best. They had to order the parts, then when the parts came in, they called us and set up a date. These guys do the work right the first time.

All projects were performed efficiently and quickly. It should be noted that instead of simply replacing our leaking shower set with a new set, Ed informed me that the existing set could be repaired. He saved us @$300. by repairing vs. ripping out the old and forcing us to buy and install a new set. By repairing instead of replacing we did not have to retile the shower wall which would have required us finding matching tile and hiring a second person to complete to do the tiling. Ed gave us a much more usable outdoor water spigot. We use our outdoor water hose a great deal. It is now much easier to turn on and shut off thanks to Ed. He also explained the winter shut -off process we need to follow to avoid the cracking happening again. Lastly, Ed informed us that we could probably purchase an inexpensive part at Home Depot to fix the kitchen faucet. We contacted the manufacturer (American Standard) who informed us that there was life-time warranty on the unit. They sent us a new part right away within 2 weeks free of charge. Once again instead of having us buy a new faucet from Trethewey which we would have been willing to do, Ed showed integrity and honesty in giving us appropriate alternatives which saved us money and time. We recommend you request Ed when contacting Trethewey Bros. Plumbing!

Their estimate was too high for me. They were professional and they were on time. I will not use them in the future.

I would be very careful with them. The first guy that came out actually made a mistake and the second guy did the job but we had to pay for that mistake. They are very expensive. The quality of their work the first time was not very good. They were very responsive. They did what they said when we complained to them. They responded very fast when we complained to them. They were very punctual. Their professionalism was very good. We will not use their services again in the future.

I think they don't take on new clients. If you are their old client, they will come right away. They are fantastic and amazing, but if you got to have an account with them, otherwise they will not come because they just have so many people that want these guys to work for them. They are amazingly fast and good. Their price is amazingly competitive. They are the best contractors I have ever been involved with. They show up when they are supposed to. They know everything and they do everything very quickly and efficiently. They are just like superhuman. They never screw up. I would use them again in the future too.

It went pretty well. They did fine. I have used this plumber for years and they are my plumbers of choice. They are sort of at the high end of the price range but they do excellent work. They show up for the job and are experts. They don't mess around and get the job done. I will use them again in the future and am not going to any other plumber. If they can do the job I will always use them.

Really my only complaint is that they were slow to get back to me to schedule an estimate after my initial call. I had to call back a couple of times to get the ball moving. After that, everything was fine. As with my previous experience with T-Bros, they do nice clean work using high-quality parts and components and did not leave a mess behind. They arrived on time and completed the work well within the amount of time I was told it would take. They guys doing the work were professional and courteous and answered all of my questions.

I have used this company for many, many, years. Have always had top notch service. Always come when they say they will.

My heat went out during a snow emergency. I called T-Bros and was told they might not be able to get to me because not everyone was working, but an hour later I was called back and told a guy was on his way. He diagnosed and fixed the problem within an hour (it was just air bubbles in the system). At that time, he pointed out that the duct venting was not installed correctly (and in fact, this had led to problems with condensation dripping on top of the boiler instead of draining away). Two previous plumbers had not noticed anything wrong with the way the ducting was installed and simply patched the problem. He came back the following week and reinstalled the ducts and that has solved the condensation problem. On a previous occasion T-Bros installed a new water heater, and I had a good experience that time as well. My only bad experience was seven years ago when I was looking for someone to do my oil to gas conversion and T-Bros never called me back.

They were no problems with them. They did a good job.

They are great. I call them whenever I have a plumbing problem. They are dependable and they do what they say they are going to do. They are clean. Some people think that they are little more expensive than others, but also feel that they are worth it. They are trustworthy and do good work. I would rate them high overall.

Everything went very well. A year and a quarter later the system is trouble free.

I was happy that they could replace my hot water heater the same day the other one went out. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that they told me I would have to replace my 30 gallon tank with a 40 gallon tank. I live alone, and I hated the idea of both wasting energy efficiency, and the cost to run a larger tank. Unfortunately, when a hot water tank goes, you don't have much time to shop around. I found out after the installation that the 30 gallon tank was equally available. I still am unsure why they told me I had to use a 40 gallon tank. They told me that was the "standard replacement for the 30 gallon". They were quick and professional. I have used them before. I am disappointed, but will probably use them in the future for emergencies.

It is a good company. The work they did was good. They were a little more expensive that the other people I have used. I could have got it done for less; however, they are a reliable plumbing company. A couple of handles fell off after they went but in general they did a good job. I would recommend them to others. The handles are holding up good now. Everything has been holding up so far. The plumbing is good. Only the toilet paper hold was not that good. I did have one experience with them that turned me off. The guy from their company came to fix a washer as it was not turning off. It was a simple thing to do but he did not fix it. I finally fixed it myself. He was just fooling around with the faucet. I was surprised with that. He should have been able to do it as it was a minor thing. The guys who did the main job were good. In general they are a reliable company.

I called T-Bros to give me an estimate on a water heater replacement/installation. No one showed up on the 1st appointment and when I called, the receptionist was not sure what had happened because the appointment was not even in the system. Then she quickly gave me another appointment and someone did show up on time. That person was very pleasant to talk to and educated me on the different options out there, which I find very helpful. In addition to the water heater, I also had issues with my gas, steam heat system and requested for another quote to fix those problems as well. The guy who was here didn't know anything about the heating system but offered to send another person here to do the 2nd estimate, which he came within the same week. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and responsiveness of the people I spoke to at T-Bros. After reviewing their quotes on the heating system, I've decided to go with another company because T-Bros was too expensive. However, I've yet decided on the water heater system and the quote I got from them was comparable so I certainly would use them when I'm ready to start that project.

The experience was good, I recommend Trethewey Bros for heating work on forced hot water systems.
