CAMARGO ELECTRIC

On Dec. 31, 2011, John Camargo at Camargo Electric said he could fix our multifamily intercom system. He replaced the old speakers in each unit at a cost of $580. It did not fix the problem at all! He came back once and said we would need a new wire to the basement for another $500. I didn't want to pay that. So we had to live with the same faulty system we had before he sold us the pricey speakers. The intercom sometimes worked and sometimes didn't for another two years. In March 2015, I contacted "Boston Intercom Group" to get help. The system was not working well at all. Turns out Boston Intercom Group is owned by John Camargo. He wanted to charge me more than $2,500. to replace my whole system. His new system included the same speakers he had already sold me! When I said it was too expensive, he wrote, "you need to upgrade. Stop being so cheap..." John Camargo overcharges people and also bullies them when he doesn't get his way. Steer clear.

Disappointing. Very late to every appointment, did not clean up after himself, cut corners (another electrician told me some of his work was not to code). He raised the overall price after original verbal estimate and charged a lot for small additional work.
