Omega Painting & Home Improvement

We moved into a home with a partially finished basement (as seen in the photos). The challenge we experienced with other contractors was they could only do parts of the work (we would have had to find our own electrician or installation of carpet). Also, most contractors did not provide a thorough estimate of costs and breakdown what work they would be responsible for. Omega provided a thorough estimate and laid everything out in terms that a non-contractor could understand. We were already confident in Omega, based on previous work they had done for us, but this sealed the deal in terms of having confidence in that the team we were hiring would complete all the work we were looking to have done. This project required the installation of flooring, new doors/trim, new window, drop ceiling, trim around exposed beams, finishing construction on the stairs and carpet install, and painting walls/trim in the entire basement. His team also built a new closet around an exposed water meter and fixing walls/sanding that were not completed properly by previous homeowners. Communication with the project manager was excellent - very professional and consistent. He kept us posted on what work would be completed almost daily. When it came to choosing flooring, carpet, paint, doors, and hardware, Delton did an excellent job of providing options that fit the environment of a basement (example, more rugged carpet for the staircase and added sub-flooring for the basement that could be beneficially in case there was ever an issue with water). The options he provided fit what we had in mind for design and budget. When it came to choosing paint colors, he was patient with the selection process, and gave us time to look at the choices at all hours of the day and put samples up in various parts of the basement. At the end of the project, Delton did a full walk through with us to address any final questions and to make sure we were satisfied with the work his team had done. The electrician Omega brought in was excellent! We've actually hired him since to do another project for us. The project was completed in an efficient timeframe and came in right at budget. We are thrilled with the completed basement! They have a talented and professional team.

This was the second project we hired Delton and his team for. A few months prior they had completed painting a few bedrooms. We were thrilled with the cost, efficiency, work ethic of the team, and professionalism, so we immediately thought of Omega when we were considering adding a new closet to the master bedroom in our home. Delton gave a thorough explantation verbally and in writing (in terms that as non-construction workers, we could understand) and laid out all the costs up front. His explanation of how the build would happen, what needed to be done, and the final estimate, gave us the most confidence of all the contractors we spoke with. The project leader communicated with us on a daily basis to keep us up to date on the work that was completed and what was going to be done in the coming days. He also responded promptly to any questions we had. The team of workers were friendly, courteous, and always cleaned up their work space at the end of the day. Delton consulted us when it came to all design choices and was knowledgeable on what doors, shelving, and lighting needs would work with our ideas for final concept and budget. We love our new closet, it looks like it was in the room all along, and the project was stress-free for us. Which is the result of having a truly professional contractor.

They removed all items in my bathrooms and re-did tile work, painting, vanities, the plumbing, toilets and lighting. They had professionals handle the specialized aspects of the job. The owner could foresee when something was needed and he’d take a trip to Lowe’s without being asked to get something done". He was extremely reliable, punctual and very easy to work with. Omega Painting and Delton are the best painters there are! I would recommend them to anyone and wouldn't even consider using any other painter ever again. The amount of time they spend on prepping the space makes all the difference in the long term outcome of the paint job. We contacted Omega via Angie's list and received a response from the owner within just a few minutes. Omega immediately accommodated our request to have 3 bedrooms (and a closet) that we needed painted within a week of moving into our house. Omega used high-quality Benjamin Moore paint (we just provided the paint nails/numbers) and the owner picked up the materials. Their team showed up on time and immediately got to work. They were efficient, professional, and completed all three bedrooms and closet in a single day. They used drop cloths in the carpeted areas and cleaned up all materials they brought with them. We would hire them again for future painting jobs. The owner communicates with efficient and was clear with timelines and estimate for costs.

Delton and his crew did an outstanding job. Delton's original proposal was professional and responsible; he followed through on the proposal with careful attention to detail and, when changes were required, communicated with us openly and honestly; the quality of the work was very high; his crew was well managed and considerate; and Delton himself proved, once again -- we have worked with before -- to be smart, respectful, and completely trustworthy. Others in our Avon Hill, Cambridge, neighborhood have had similar good experiences with him.

They have a very positive attitude and if they don't know how to do it,they will find a way out how to do it.
