Description of Work: We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Sozio Appliance in Revere, regarding service and price. They are located at 61 Squire Road in Revere, MA. We have been shopping for a washing machine since January, as we have had continous problems with our Maytag Front Load washing machine which we purchased elsewhere. Although front loaders saves water, we spent more money in repairing the Maytag Front Loader, than we did in savings on water. Many older family members and neighbors over the years recommended Sozio's in Revere but this was our first time purchasing something from them and believe me, we will be a repeat customer. They not only beat everyone's prices, but they deliver exceptional service. We are very pleased with our experience with Sozio's staff, from Matty our salesperson, Vanessa who coordinated our delivery date around our work schedule, from the team who delivered and hooked up our washing machine. Since 1908, Sqpeed Queen has been quality commerical and residential laundry equipment still made in USA!!!!! Our experience with Front Loaders has only been with Maytag which constantly broke down, didn't clean the clothes and not only did the front loader smell like mildew, but our clothes never smelled freshly cleaned. Therefore, it was our preference to ditch the Front Loader washing machine as we have spent more money in repairs than we have in in saving money on water. We chose to purchase a Speed Queen Top Loader AWN542S. But Speed Queen does sell both, top loaders and front loaders, we just prefer top loaders. Sozio Appliance in Revere, has won us over in OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! We will defintely be back to purchase more appliances in the future as needed..

After explaining at length to the salesperson that my apartment was on the fifth floor and being assured it was no problem and no extra fees applied, the delivery people showed up, were surly, and then announced they would not install the machine I had ordered and would not carry it up the stairs without extra charge. I called Chuck Sozio, the owner, got him on the phone and explained what had been told me. He said the salesperson should never have offered me the free delivery and refused to honor it. (Note that I had bought an entire suite of appliances from chuck two years before, a fact he acknowledged in refusing to back what his salesperson said.) Chuck hung up on me twice during our conversations and had his delivery people leave the premises without telling me he was giving up. Chuck and his people were both rude and unprofessional. BTW, they told me they could NOT install the machine in question -- that it was not possible. Within a week, AAA Appliance in JP installed the machine, did it promptly and politely, and at a cheaper price. Avoid Sozio at all costs.
Description of Work: Ordered washer-dryer stackable unit via phone with salesperson. Specifically pointed out to salesperson that I was on fifth floor and confirmed no additional cost would result from that fact. On delivery date, rude delivery people showed up and refused to deliver without extra cost. When I refused to pay, they also announced that they could not install even if they were willing to deliver for various unexplained reasons.

THEY BROKE SOME MOLDING ON THE CORNER OF MY WALL. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THERE WAS A SCRATCH IN THE UNIT AFTER THEY DELIVERED, AND INSTALLED IT. I CALLED THE COMPANY TO MAKE THEM AWARE, AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK. THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED.

WE HAVE USED THIS APPLIANCE STORE IN THE PAST WITH GOOD LUCK TO QUICKLY REPLACE A BROKEN WASHING MACHINE. WE CHOSE THEM AGAIN TO SAVE TIME, SINCE SEARS DOES NOT DELIVER AND INSTALL IN ONE DAY. THE INITIAL EXPERIENCE WITH THE SALESWOMAN WAS FINE. BUT TWO OF THE FOUR APPLIANCES ARRIVED DAMAGED AND IT TOOK ANOTHER EIGHT WEEKS TO CORRECT THESE PROBLEMS! IN THE PROCESS WE WERE INSULTED, BERATED AND BASICALLY RUN AROUND BY VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE SOZIO STAFF. WE HAD TO TAKE ANOTHER TWO AND A HALF DAYS OFF WORK WAITING FOR PEOPLE TO COME TO FIX THE PROBLEMS AND IN THE PROCESS DISCOVERED SOZIO'S HAD BADLY ASSEMBLED ONE APPLIANCE. IT WAS A LONG, STRESSFUL AND TIME CONSUMING PROCESS. WHEN WE TRIED TO DISCUSS OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE OWNER, HE WAS HARD TO REACH AND RUDE. WE BASICALLY WANTED TO FIGURE OUT WHY AND WHERE IT ALL WENT SO BADLY SO WE COULD USE THEM AGAIN. THE OWNER WAS VERY RUDE. ALL IN ALL A VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE AND WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: WE PURCHASED FOUR APPLIANCES AND PAID TO HAVE THREE INSTALLED. THERE WAS A GREAT DEAL OF FOLLOW UP BECAUSE TWO OF THE FOUR APPLIANCES ARRIVED DAMAGED (ONE WAS MISSING A PIECE). THERE WAS A HUGE AMOUNT OF CONFUSION BETWEEN THE SALESPERSON, THE HOME STORE AND THE DELIVERY MAN ABOUT WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR CORRECTING THESE ISSUES. ALONG THE WAY WE WERE MADE TO FEEL THEY WERE DOING US A HUGE FAVOR TO BRING THESE ITEMS UP TO ACCEPTABLE CONDITION AND THAT WE WERE ASKING TOO MUCH.
