Quick Fix

I originally solicited bids from Quick Fix and two other companies. One company offered premium features at a premium price. Quick Fix and the other non-premium company both offered what I actually needed - a standard roofing replacement - and Quick Fix was substantially cheaper. Quick Fix had to postpone the date when the work was performed, but that happens with this kind of job. Once they got started, they did the work as agreed and there were no extra charges. I would use them again if I needed roof work in the future.

I had asked for an estimate on work on my roof. I was having trouble with leaking. Showed him where in the house it leaked. He then went outside on my roof. When he came back in he told me some problems that he could fix which he thought was causing the leaking. When back outside and for the next 1/2 hour was on the roof. I assumed he was getting estimate for the repair. When he came back in, he told me he fixed my roof (which was a suprise since I did not agree to this) and the cost was $550.00. I reluctively gave him a check. It was over so fast I even forgot to get a invoice on what he did. I couldn't go up on the roof to see what was done, so I had to take his word for work done. Very dissappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone. He called the next day and said he lost my check and would I send him another. I should have said I would if he sent me an invoice but once again I was stupid. I put a stop payment on the original and told him I'd send another check minus the stop payment amount. He agreed. I also said to send me an invoice and estimate on another piece of work he said he needed to be done. To date I have not received or heard from him. He did cash my check.
