DIRECT KITCHEN & COUNTERTOP

Direct Kitchen's team recently completed renovations in our condo in Revere. They did a very good job. We also appreciated the responsiveness and the willingness to correct things when we asked. That was a rather large project and we didn't have much time to monitor or even think about every little detail that we should have thought about to begin with. The team was very professional, little things here and there - there is no remodeling project without little things not going as expected - were taken care of promptly and accurately. The end result looks great and we are very much enjoying our new place! I would hire Direct Kitchen's team all over again without thinking twice.

Terribly. Our job involved replacing cabinets, Installing granite, knocking down a wall for expansion, designing a laundry space,and extending and refinishing hardwood floors. The carpentry person, and employee, was top notch. The flooring job was sloppy, large gaps and cuts that extend too far. The cabinets themselves had many cracks. Direct Kitchen brought in a "painter to repair the brand new cabinets ( at the very beginning of the job) This worked for a while but all the cracks have since returned. The cabinet doors were warped , two were replaced but today my cabinet doors still do not close flush to cabinet. The sink they sold me was defective from beginning as it had marks ( looking like glue at first) I thought they would go away with time. They were permanent marks. When designing kitchen, I wanted a double sink but was talked into the deeper single sink. Now I wonder if they had a returned sink and wanted to use it on my job. After my complaints were unresolved I reported them to BBB. This provider lied to the BBB and mischaracterized me. Then they came to my house and painted the defective cabinetry. ( the job that was a temporay fix) I don't trust this business to fix problems. BBB closed the file. I am living with a kitchen with defective cabinets, defective sink and sloppy floor job.

They were great throughout the process. They had great ideas for both designs and were able to come up with plans to help squeeze the most in the space provided. The cabinets that they recommended were exactly the right fit for us. We went higher end in our home and more economical in the apartment. They installed it in the apartment for us and I wish they had done our home too. They were quick, efficient and neat. They also coordinated the granite countertops for us and helped us select the right match.

On time delivery, great advice on the best cabinet and countertop within my price range, and overall all an honest business. I will definitely keep the in my rolodex.

I visited a few big box stores and see if they offer a decent value. The have good selections and the pricing is fair provided their products were on sale. I found Direct Kitchen to just be completely on point and informative. We sketched out a plan, revised it a few time with no problems at all.The cabinets were delivered when ready and the overall process was easy.

The contractor, Pat McLaughlin was very good. Some of my students who had used him recommended him, and I was very happy with him. Pat was very professional and very organized; that is why liked him. He did what he said he was going to do on time. They started in May but probably finished in June because I had to go away for a while. I was very happy with the work. I also saw the house he did for one of my students and that was an $80,000 job; a big job and Pat did everything and did a fantastic job of that. I went to see that first before I had him. The price was excellent. There was a problem with one of the countertops I had selected, it wasn't available, and I said I was sure if he looked around, somebody might have a piece. So he looked around and he found it. When I email him or call him, he answers. The difficulty was that I had to go out of town so he had to wait on it and of course, I hadn't made up my mind on what I was going to do. He and his crew were here when they were supposed to be here. He supervised, there were about two to three that worked for him and they were all very, very efficient. A friend of mine recommended him, then I went to see him and I saw a kitchen that he had done and I was very impressed, so that's how we did it.
