Carmen Colella Electric

I hired Carmen to do the bonding prep on my newly installed in ground pool, while he did a good job on the work his communication was terrible , I had to push him for inspection, it took 3 months to get the work that he did inspected and only after I had to get involved, I ended contacting the inspector myself, after inspection he did not understand that he did not fully pass inspection and I had to fight with him to complete the work per the electrical inspectors instruction, he kept telling me he was done and he was not, I had more communication with the town than he did, he did not communicate important information, ie that I would need copper grounding mesh around the pool under the patio, it was super frustrating, he does not seem to understand the process and I was left dealing with it after paying him to do the job. In addition to the bonding prep I asked him for a quote to finish the electrical on the pool and he just ignored me. I do not think he knows how to do a quote. To be fair I would say he does a decent job electrically but lacks knowledge, professionalism and communication skills.

While the did well with the project, they failed to close out the permit and notify the appropriate authorities for the completed work. This permit is still opened from Sept. 2019. I have tried contacting the electrician without success, and they have not returned my calls.

Carmen was great to work with. He and his teamed upgraded our electric service and cleaned up the mess left by the previous owner. I appreciated that he answered all my questions very thoroughly so I could understand what our options were and make an informed decision. He came up with a solution we were happy with after another electrician told us that they couldnâ t do the upgrade without rewiring the whole house. We are happy with our new set up and would absolutely work with Carmen and his team again.

I had a lot of little jobs around my house that needed to be fixed. Carmen was the first to call after I signed into HomeAdvisors. He came that day and I showed him everything I wanted done. He is a friendly caring person. He impressed me right away. I knew that I was going to hire him before getting an estimate. He send his electrician Sean and his apprentice Paul to do the work. They were friendly accommodating and professional. I was especially impressed with the patience Sean took working with Paul. I am so happy with the work they did. It was a project I had been putting off for a few years and now everything is fixed. He is now my go to electrician . A very personable professional and a pleasure to work with.

These guys did an excellent job and we’ll not hesitate to hire for future projects. They did a 200amp upgrade, replaced an old fuse box with a circuit breaker, and took time to understand projects for which we have future needs. They also were flexible when we had to cancel our first appointment. You can’t go wrong with this team!

Very professional, finished the job as promised 1 day, even went & checked all the rooms in the house to make sure electrical was working. Definitely found our permanent Electrician.

Carman and his crew did a spectacular job upgrading our old knob and tube panel with 200 amp service. He is punctual and professional, and he stuck by the price he quoted. He showed flexibility when I expanded the job to remove the active knob and tube in the basement and wrapped up both jobs on time. He’s thorough, writing down notes of the work during walkthroughs so as not to miss details. He listened to everything we said we needed and made recommendations. I cannot recommend his services enough, and with all the work required for our home, I will be hiring him for work in the future.

Communication was good at every point in my project. He found two safety problems which he resolved with no additional charge. Before he left he did a thorough cleanup of the work area. Very competent and professional.

Carmen and team did a great job fixing our electric sockets. They detected other issues that could have been serious and fixed them. Carmen has a great personality, good leadership, courteous, and you will be happy with their work.

As far as communication goes, CCE is exactly what I look for in a company. They don't try to get me on the phone to explain everything as most companies do. I'm busy at work and truly want to move things along quickly via text or email. CCE communicated with me solely in this manner, including billing and payment (easy through venmo). They were very communicative and quick to respond throughout. A+ in this area. Regarding pricing, they automatically sent 2 people out to fix a doorbell, which increased the hourly costs right off the bat. I've never dealt with a company that does this. So it may have been a bit on the pricier side. To be fair, maybe this was the most efficient manner so they could have one person upstairs communicating with the person downstairs to see if the bell was working. But regardless, overall, would use again.

If you need an electrician this is the Team to hire. The era of honesty and craftsmanship is nearly gone but not with this group. What was to have been a simple job ended up being complex- but in the end the problem was fixed and everyone was happy. Consideration- cleanliness and timing- You can't beat them. Carmen and his team did a great job cleaning our solar panels for the season. They also installed an HDTV antenna while they were up there. We plan on using them again for the routine maintenance.

Carmen responded quickly and sent his technicians and they performed the work excellently. This issue was that part of a circuit was not working and they worked diligently to find the problem. Their persistence paid off and the found the problem and fixed it. They also upgraded the switches and plugs so that the problem will not happen again. I will definitely use Colella Electric again for any of my electrical needs and I will highly recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Carmen and his guys were great. They were quick, clean and even took care of some stuff that was out of scope of the original request.

Carmen was a pleasure to work with. He is responsive and knowledgeable. I hired Carmen to do an electrical service upgrade to my home. He visited to look at the job in person and provided an accurate quote and time frame for the work to be completed. Even though Carmen ran into some unexpected surprises left by the previous owner he still kept his word and worked extra hard to complete the job in one day so that power could be restored to my home. His work is neat and he left the whole job site meticulous. I would recommend Carmen for electrical work and plan to hire him again for some additional work at my home.
